  1. Those thighs don't look anorexic to me
  2. My vote for a 25 yr Accountant would be SOH in black with S/S mesh band - no chronos. Simple, classy and reasonable for a young professional
  3. I haven't seen any really good Hour Visions at any price. The face might be OK, but the problem is all the detailing on the movement and the custom gold rotor on the Hour Vision The back of this watch is the real ass-kicker The reps are so bad it's laughable. I'd gladly pay $500 for a decent hour vision, but they don't exist.
  4. Happens more and more these days -
  5. I'll agree, I've seen worse - this one for example - But "not the worst" is not the same as "good"
  6. Gee, and I was thinking that this watch was the most over-the-top use of diamonds, now I'm not so sure! http://technabob.com/blog/2008/09/21/diamo...so-little-time/
  7. The Breitling bracelets are more flexible than most so I tend to wear them tighter than other bracelet watches and they still feel fine.
  8. I think "Almost good quality" is being kind here -
  9. Rolex Daytona - I had always wanted one and shopped around for a good rep, but when I wore it it just looked cheezy. Like I was a mob boss or the owner of an adult book store. Now even when I see a gen I wonder what I saw in it, and I'm darned glad that I didn't blow $$$ on a gen. BTW - the opposite is My Breitling Bentley GT - a watch that looked good online and looks better every day I wear it. I rarely wear anything else now.
  10. Certainly looks like Josh's site - if it's a rip-off they did a good job.
  11. We should try a Sub against a 6.75 Bentley -
  12. Going sailing this weekend, wanna come along?
  13. Check the "links" section at the top of the page
  14. What are they afraid of, aren't they the ones that say you can always spot a rep from a mile off? Don't they say that we're wasting our money on crap that will break in a week? If it's true, then they have nothing to be afraid of - we're all just wasting our money while they relax in the secure knowledge that they own the real thing! Of course, the real thing is probably an ETA movement in a steel case, same as what I have, for 20x the price. But then again, they have factory service at $500 a pop (to start) and all I can do is go out and get a whole new watch for $350. I am such a loser I think I'll head over to wannabee.com for another 6.75 Breitling Bentley to ease my pain.
  15. It's hard to say with a supplier that nobody knows, they might be great or they might just take your money and run - But taken at face value, the prices seem high for jap quartz reps - Josh and Andrew have what looks like the same watches for a lot less and they're both reliable
  16. Too bad you can't get it with a rep steel mesh bracelet, I'd buy that in a heartbeat,
  17. Bet they don't rep this one anytime soon - http://technabob.com/blog/2008/09/08/harry...og-and-digital/
  18. My honest first impression? $14.99 at WalMart, with a matching wallet and keyfob. Sorry, it's not polite but it's honest - I'm sure it's an excellent watch and worth every dime.
  19. Asian 7750 movements frequently need some time to "wear in" and loosen up enough to keep a good power reserve. Usually they are fine in 1-2 weeks of daily wear. I usually just put it on in the morning, stopped or not, and let my arm movements wind it - then I set it about an hour later when I get to work. After a few days they usually hold well past the morning and I don't have to re-set them anymore - by the end of a month they are humming along like a trooper.
  20. Like jot9011 said, you had to get there early but there were good deals to be had, I got my girl a Breitling Starliner 50% off, they even had a Flying B chrono with the full bling job, platinum case with diamonds on everything, $120G retail and 50% off. It was worth the trip just to try it on.
  21. OMG so much the ripoff - their site reeked of scam. I never bought from them, but a friend who did said the watch looked like a kid's toy.
  22. They would rep the Casio G-Shock if they could do it at a profit -
  23. Thinnest Rep I've ever seen - 6mm - Patek Calatrava - http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=2930 Thinnest with a mechanical movement - 7mm - another Patek - http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=2930 Cartier Santos Dumont has some nice thin reps as well.
  24. Got Chrome as soon as it was out, using it now - fast and easy, but it doesn't have all the cool plug-ins Firefox has - Yet.
  25. Same watch, leather strap - I got one with the steel bracelet and it looks great, gets lots of compliments. Nobody notices that the Chronos are off. Whenever I buy a rep on leather I always budget $150 for a new strap. I usually need it. I have about a half dozen on leather and only one with the factory strap. YMMV.
