  1. Nice, but I think I'll go with these - http://www.lookrichforless.com/product.php...&Product=12
  2. http://www.google.com/products?q=mp4+playe...=en&show=dd
  3. This is my favorite watch after my Breitling Bentley - surprisingly comfortable, accurate and good looking in a broad range of situations. Would love to know where you got the cufflinks, are they gen?
  4. It's not a rep (yet) but I thought you guys might be interested in this 5 face watch from Diesel - Case size is 18mm/26mm (W) x 65mm (L) x 9mm(H) The faces are tagged NY, LA, London, Paris and Tokyo, but it looks it has five separate movements so you can pick any five time zones you like - God save you when it's time to replace batteries! http://store.dieseltimeframes.com/jump.jsp...mp;itemID=41785
  5. I would agree only in the way that other flashy watches are harder to pull off. But a gen steel Bentley can be had for around 6K, which doesn't put it beyond your typical engineer or real estate broker, especially if they're dressy. Hell, I've seen warehouse workers blow 6 grand on a TV set, through the miracle of easy credit. You don't need to be in the Bentley car class to pull off a Breitling Bentley
  6. I do wonder why this is, they could always use the movement from the 6.75 big date - Then again, Bentleys are so sparkly and complicated only a real WIS is going to notice the chrono arrangement. Most people are just "OMG! Is that a Breitling?!!!"
  7. Why would you buy a $700 rep when you can get the same thing with a Swiss Eta 2671 for almost $500 less?
  8. Is that the best pic you have? It looks a little like a Cartier Tank Americaine, or one of the thousand or so "homage" watches. It's a very popular case shape.
  9. Add a fifth - they'd rather put the money into something with a net cash return rather than a depreciating investment like a Rolex
  10. They don't even seem to be replicas, just cheap watches that vaguely resemble famous watches, despite the "tutorial" page.
  11. That would depend on how you define "English"
  12. Interesting, the address given for Josh's new site - http://www.j88time.com/ is now opening to Trustytime, and the URL for Andrew's new site, http://www.tt88time.com/ opens to what seems to be an identical page. A server error or a business merger?
  13. Funny how they can make some watches so accurate and others they can't even seem to get close. Even the great Patek reps have glaring flaws. Some wouldn't fool Stevie Wonder at twenty paces.
  14. They used to call it "Class "A". "AAA" or "Perfect", now they call it "Ultimate" or "1:1" All it means is "the best I got right now". It may well be crap, but it's his best crap. Somebody else may have a lot better - judge for yourself
  15. Funny - I've bought 4 watches from him and he always responds in a few days - spare parts take a while, but they always get there as well. During New Year you can forget about hearing from him - but most of Asia is like that He's one of my most reliable dealers.
  16. 50%-70% on all obsolete, closeout models they're trying to get rid of -
  17. I use silicon fuser oil, usually left over after a copier has been serviced at my office - It works great - is completely clear, odorless and hypoallergenic. Plus it lasts about a year in normal daily use. Best - it's free.
  18. www.trustytime.com isn't working anymore, either -
  19. The only Patek I've seen with the "Logo" deployant is the two sided Sky/moon and it's a really crappy rep, a 10 year old could spot it.
  20. http://www.trustytime.com/
  21. I can't get into Josh's at all, but Andrew's other site is working -
  22. So far I've bought four watches from him and been happy every time. When you need parts or repairs he usually ships Airmail and not EMS - it's cheaper but it can take several weeks to CONUS. Some people get upset that the watch arrives and a few days and parts can take a few weeks. Still, it was only one watch that was missing a screw and he sent several screws with no issue. If you want, you can paypal him and extra $15 and he'll ship parts EMS. I'll probably buy another watch from him in the next few months. He's always been good to me.
  23. Is it too late to get in on this? I'm a local but never did a GTG before. Let me know if you can make room for 1 more -
  24. This is true, plus sometimes other parts as well - you might scare him off of servicing reps entirely. I would say start him off slow, servicing ETA reps and Asian 7750s - probably a popular package of teardown, clean, reassemble, relube and adjust. I'd pay $200 for a well done job. After he's used to doing repair by mail order and used to working with reps he can expand the services as he feels comfortable.
  25. Angus has a mailing list for previous customers where he announces his new items, but only the stuff he's carrying and his line isn't huge -
