  1. Contact Time4Direct. He is selling the "Swiss" model with AR very cheap. I got the white one and couldn't be happier. Visit My http://www.replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewt...;t=43854Website
  2. I agree. I didn't say it was great. But when not seen through a macro lens it's not really so noticeable. It got me motivated for better.
  3. Seems like somebody was looking for one of these in the last couple of days: 7750
  4. Here's a look at it. It doesn't look too bad. This is a Swiss ETA model from Perfect Clones. Date wheel lines up nicely.
  5. Glue it onto the movement holder. It will work fine. If you get it the right thickness, the two tabs will hold it all in place.
  6. I purchased a 2836 clone from Joshua a while back for $60. It was a replacement for one of his Swiss ETA reps so I can't say that would be the going rate today. Just a rough estimate. ETA hands and date wheels will fit.
  7. The Zigmeister is right about Rex. He is preparing to take the test, or course, or what ever it is that certifies you. On the other hand he is very professional to deal with and quite reasonably priced. At the moment he's a few weeks out on servicing. He also has an old time master watchmaker who is mentoring him and always available. And on the original question I would avoid sending it back to China if at all possible. I've been waiting 4 months for Josh to replace my wife's Chopard. I've had a tracking number for going on a month that is no good and can't get a straight answer out of Josh. I've been buying almost all my watches from him but I'm done unless we get this straightened out soon. I don't know what's going on with Josh but he doesn't seem to be on top of things like he used to be.
  8. If that's a rep, I want one just like it. Beautiful watch.

    My New 005

Yep. on the solid case back.
  10. Only discussing normalization of relations is against the law. The rest the Anglo minority has learned to live with.
  11. A couple of weeks ago I did a little window shopping at Tourneau over on Worth Avenue and the first thing I realized while looking at them, mostly Breitlings and Rolexes in particular, were how much more "expensive" they looked than all the reps in my collection. It may have just been the lighting or something but they all looked shinier, cleaner, better fit and finish, etc. And this was just looking through a window. It kind of bummed me out.
  12. My Stlltyfied DateJust:
  13. This is in rep case. The other thread was putting together a gen dial in gen case with clone movement. With a black dial I would think if you painted the part of the retaining ring that shows black, it wouldn't be very noticeable.
  14. A picture is worth a thousand words: Can you live with this? It's not too terrible, but you can see it.
  15. Thought this might be of interest to some folks here. I picked up a gen case and dial from the Bay - $220, Gen 18k crown from the Bay -$25, Eta clone movement $60 and an adapter ring from "Stilty". That adapter made it an easy swap. Here's the new parts with my old DateJust from Joshua. Movement is assembled and ready to go into the new gen case. Next we change the stem from rep crown to gen crown. Easy and a perfect fit. And, she's ready to go. Add a gen Daytona vintage band and gen 18k Rolex vintage clasp from the 70's, and you've got a (pretty much) genuine Rolex Datejust from the 60's - 70's era. I love the vintage crystal. It's like looking into a pool of water when the light hits it just right. And the lug holes add a nice "vintage" touch. And one last one. Here's with a cheap TT bracelet. I guess I'll be looking a a real gold one soon.
  16. I can't believe nobody's mentioned the most obvious. Contact the Mods on that forum and have them contact (put pressure on) the seller. They have all the members personal information and have the ability to contact them directly.
  17. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be putting up hurricane shutters this weekend.
  18. Any pool supply store has grease for rubber seals. One brand is "BOSS 820 lube".
  19. I just finished doing this so I'll add my 2 cents worth. A new watch from Narika, a "begin"mariner came with edges that could cut you. I used 360 grit wet or dry sandpaper and it only took a few minutes. Then, since it had polished edges which were lightly scratched, I used the Dremel to polish the sides. It came out much better and was quite easy. It's 100% better, now.
  20. Hontpo?
  21. You can get an education any time. The window of opportunity on the bouncing 18 year olds is closing fast. And it never will return.
  22. Now I agree 100%. BTW, I don't use the chronos on Asian 7750s. But, judging people by the number of posts comes off as a little rude. We're all here to learn and in all the forums,I'm sure you'll agree, the number of posts often doesn't correlate to a poster's intelligence.
  23. As another poster with less than 50 posts....... What is the point of making a chrono watch? To time events! So you only time events that end on certain seconds? Your statement, as it applies to gens, makes no sense to me.
  24. Call me crazy, I went swimming with my Skyland in the pool right after I got it. No problems. I think it was Dave or Allergy Doc that took his to a water park for the day and reported no problems also. Living in Florida near the beach, I have taken 2 subs, SSD, CD, and Skyland either in the pool or to the beach. If they (dive watches) can't take it, I don't want them. I do lube the seals first. It does say "water resistant" on Josh"s web site. I figured if it died the first week, I'd call him on it and send it back.
