  1. I have one of these, with white stitching. All as been said....you can find WAY better quality elsewhere, but it's more expensive. Those are not confortable at all, and a bit too mat, even with time. For a rep, that's more than enought. For a gen one, I would buy somewhere else (fredastrap, abp or many more)
  2. I'd like to know how many pourcent will have Mike Wood for all those references...
  3. I've heard Kevlar does not like water. Is this trap new ? I don't know why Kevlar does not like water...it may be reduce ? BTW Hi, I guess we do know each other from HCFR.
  4. It's not even a picture, but a drawing
  5. Not a 199. A Pam024 probably
  6. Hi folks, Just to say that I was about the send my Pam 243 to Vac today, for a relume job. But the shipping rate for a secure shipment, and the customs issues, have lead me on this thread. I did contact Domi 15 minutes ago. He replied 12 minutes ago, answering all my questions. Next step is a delivery in Germany, but I cannot agree more on previous comments about its kindness. Now I really need to source a DW for my 243, cause I know I have someone to install it !
  7. I think it's simply impossible to tell with such pictures. Proof is : the given answers.
  8. Hi, I'm planning to buy a white ceramic J12 (a rep of course) for my wife. The thing is : she likes large watch (large for her wrist), but has very tiny wrists. The 33mm will probably fits her wrist, but will also be too small. Question is, do you know how many links can be removed from the 38mm J12 ? And if you've got any advise on the best version available (up to USD250...)...
  9. Hi, I've just received this watch. Beside the fact I really hate the cyclop (so I won't keep the watch very long, I'll probably sell it for the WM9 SD), I have to admit this is the closest rep I've even worn, and even my frankenwatches always had biggest tells (the too short hands on my Ingenieur, the pearl of my PO or the dial of my Pam111). This one is, as By-Tor showed, near perfection. The luminova is the best improvement to me, as it is exactly like the gen' (which is to me not as bright as what I've seen on Omega watches for instance). I've got two questions : First one concerns the click of the bezel : I've aleady tried a gen 14060, but I did not had my WM9 V2 to compare : does the WM9 V2 bezel sounds like the gen click ? And can we change the crown for a gen one easely ?
  10. Exactly On best seller watches, like the PO (or the Sub), the ETA movement are usualy made for the best case, best dial etc. But there are still many many many differents versions of the same watch. Chinese can build a true 1:1 copy, without any problem. But they never do that, simply because profits are there main concern. If you wanted the best Deep Sea Dweller, you bought the first rep. 2 years later, there are 5th generation of those...the lastest being not perfect. Concerning your post, wait til you can buy a PO...2824 worth it.
  11. This company does that : xxx.bloesch.ch (xxx = www) The thing is you cannot do it on 1 watch at a time. Each "shot" cost hundred of euros (apart from the cost of the machine), so you have to put several saphir to make a business from that. As pug said, the biggest problem in making money from that is not the cost of the operation itself. It is the logistic part. On 100 cristals, some will be lost during transportation (And I'm not even talking about members who will send the whole watch...)
  12. I won't keep the watch, as if I like if, I'd sell it for the gen. So you're right. I might stick to the basic model, or find one already modified. There is a very nice one in the Fundraiser sales section, but it's probably too expensive for my needs...550 euros means USD775. The DW swap is too hard for my left hands, so will have to live with that.
  13. is it hard to source ? (I mean a gen datewheel for a sd)
  14. Gen rolex datewheel on ETA movement ?
  15. yes I was. Don't know about the differences between those two. That's also what I think, any would be fine. But as I know it will be in the sale section pretty soon, I'd rather buy the nicest (apart from the WM9) Does the Supreme from PT has the misaligned date font issue ?
  16. I'm planning to buy a gen SD. But I appreciate to have a real try before letting such an amount go. Real try, means longer than 1 minute at the AD... So I'd like to find a rep for couple of month (the gen would be bought for chrismas), as close as the gen. I know there are 2 versions : V1, and V2. I know WM9 is making what should be the ultimate rep of this watch, but it'll be released when I'll buy my Gen (if I do) Is there sellers who are selling better Sea dweller than the V2 ?
  17. You're not. It has probably been June, in december last year, then july, then August, then November...then who knows... That's the reason why I won't ever order from WM9.
  18. The thing is simple : as a seller, you do want to see the buyer to receive the watch he has pay for. Buyers are taking risk...until something bad happens. Then, they want a partial refund, or may think you haven't done the thing right...
  19. Hi, I know it's an old one, but the diameter of the gen, without the crown is 42mm, not 38. The rep is much smaller, and would not make so big compare to the SD.
  20. Seems like the last runs was a bit...confusing. I hope everyone will see their cristal back... I know double AR, or even single AR is a great thing, but sending a cristal to Rocketeer, who will send it to HauteHippie in the US, who will send it to someone else to do the job...well, it seems scary to me (well you might say that it wasn't looking scary with K22222...) I'm pretty sure the guy who can do that in Europ can makes a lot of money.
  21. If you're are looking for fast movement, buy a Seiko Springdrive... It also has a 72hours power reserve, and is more accurate than 99% of the swiss movement
  22. Hi Laz Got the same psychological problem with mine. I've ordered a Panatime strap to see if it fits better than the bracelet. Anyway, the orange version I have cannot be worn everyday. Too sporty for me. Only on vacation.
