Nice tutorial, I always this find it hard to do this, I do soak my
watches in a bowl with bracelet on, I use a wire hanger to hold the watch
up so the head doesn't go into the oil, works for me!
I sent mine to Speedy G for service, it has been running like a champ for over a month, I
try not to use the stopwatch and when I go to bed I hack the movt, kind of pain to reset it
in the am, but so far, so good!!
I have Roberts Daytona and it's running flawlessly, each day though the hand at 3 & 9 mov, I guess that was for the day date feature on the 21j, I just reset it each day back to zero, this I hope will be the future, movt anyway!!
Honestly I have no idea what kind of life span they
have, maybe some get lucky & some don't, I think it's worth
the risk, maybe in a month I'll eat my words.
I sent Joe my 1665 MBW about a month ago, I recv'd it back this week & I couldn't be
happier. I have a great looking watch that performs well & is basically a brand new
reproduction of a vintage 1665. What more could you ask for. Joe was very nice to me over the
phone & explained what he was doing & if there was to be a delay ect.
I think if one can attain a vintage for say $450 & sink another $500 into it for mods, the watch will be amazing, there are some pic's of modded 1665 on this & other boards & they make me want to drool, I don't think the same can be done for one of Trusty's so called high end vintage reps.
