  1. Some quick answers for you Strap will be 24mm, I will be up to you to figure the lenths you will need depending on the size of you wrist & if you like a long tail or short. Buckles will again depend on what you like but the rep buckle will probably be a 22m as the rep straps are normally tapered, you can get 24mm stamped buckles but you may have to hunt around in the sales sections on here to find one. Cannon pin will be easy to see without opening the case, if the hands sit flush with the pin its fixed, if the pin sits shorter than the hands its not. If its been relumed you will know, standard rep lume will be fairly poor whereas a superlume job should be a lot brighter & also glow for a long time. Pam's have been done to death on all the forums, you shouldn't find it too hard to find pictures of our modded versions with cannon pin fixes & lume jobs. Be carefull buying Pam's, I started with one to see what the fuss was about, now I have 6 that I have modded & a few in bits still to be modded. There watch crack to some of us & for the life of me I don't know why
  2. I allways thought the A-F series had the flat tops with the Pre-V & historics with the bulge like "V"s, that was the look I was going for with my 201a but I can't even find a flat topped CG at the moment to use. I sent Angus an E-mail to see if he could get any but with it being chinese new year I wont hear back for a bit, failing that a WTB may be in order I guess
  3. I'm still looking for one for my 201, I'll be watching this tread with intrest
  4. Take the $25 hit & send it back. like PAMman said its a POS & thats being polite. It's up to you if you would ever use the same dealer again but if thats not proof of dropshipping I don't know what is
  5. Different I guess, I could live with the angular CG but from that picture the strap looks out of proportion to the size of the lugs. 60mm sounds like a monster though so if that's a 26mm strap its not going to sit well on a normal sized wrist
  6. I'm sure others will chip in on this but if you look at your case it has the OP & BB numbers etched on it along with the C number on the bottom right, if you look at your caseback you will find different OP & BB numbers along with the H number on it. If I remember right the case numbers refer to a Pam 036 while your caseback is from a Pam177H, also the movment is a later (H & onward ) version. Basically you have a 036 case with a sausage dial while your movment & caseback are from the later H onward series which has a sandwich dial. Nothing the matter with any of the parts they just shouldn't be together in one case, if I owned it it would be split into 2 different watches but like I said I'm a sucker for Ti Pams
  7. Interesting case, I've never seen the old Ti case with the series numbers in the bottom right. bit of a hybrid set up with a later movment & caseback
  8. Not sure about who would service it but I'm a sucker for Ti Pam's Pics would help though as Titainium Dsn Pam is a bit vauge to what it is if your interested in a sale
  9. Just a quick note for any thinking about the case from swissgallory, I wouldn't bother. I received mine a few days ago & its not the same as Bwhitesox's version, basically its a standard rep case with normal screwbars, it has a strange CG that when the lever is in the locked position it sits around 5mm from the case & if that wasn't bad enough no casebacks I have will fit ( standard rep or DSN). Others may have seen this case before but its a new one on me, I havn't bothered to get in touch with Mary yet & to be honest I would imagine it will be a waste of time as I would guess I will get the standard its all we have reply. Looks like the search continues
  10. I'd really like to see a better picture, the picture looks like you'll need climbing gear to reach the date wheel. I wont hold my breath for a decent maxi marine diver but I live in hope
  11. Thanks Bwhitesox, looks like I'll need to do some work on this one, ah well you live & learn
  12. I have one of these cases on its way from Mary also It does seem to me from reading this post that there is a lot of similarity's with DSN cases (thicker tube & oversize screws) , I dont have a DSN to compare to but perhaps the same source as his? Also Bwhitesox how is the CG that comes with it? I dont have a V CG so I would be using the one that comes with it but from the pictures I received it looked like it fitted the case fairly well
  13. Couple of quick pictures of my home made 040 I used the DSN closed caseback & for the sharp eyed, yes it has a black seconds hand as there was supposed to be 6 or 7 made for the japanese market. I actually prefer it with the black hands as it seems more in balance with the main hands. Gen pic for comparison (guess where I found out about the black hands)
  14. Remember there's a small brass spring style washer that sits between the hr wheel & the dial.
  15. Looks good to me, just need to finish the CG, you know its going to bug you I've been gathering parts to build a destro for a while but a correct facing CG has always been the issue, I've been shying away from working it in SS so I bet your going to love working with TI
  16. Had a look on google earth can't find Gelena either
  17. Have to agree with Andy here, Not a working swan neck on that movement, with the adjuster wound out the spring should be forcing the dagger towards the +, there's no tension on that spring at all, Sorry to crap on your thread Mwee, I'm just not seeing the value on these & to be honest a bit of emperor's new clothes with the dial as well. It will be a stunning watch when its together but whether it's worth the money is up to the buyer IMO
  18. Never sent him an e-mail through the website, normally I get his replies the following day as he seems to do his e-mails around 11-12pm. If your still interested in dealing with him (I use him fairly often & definitely cant knock the service he has given me) I would manually send him an e-mail, I never have much faith in linking from sites.
  19. Not sure what address your using but try pt@ptswiss.com I know he's available as I had an e-mail from him last night
  20. Very nice Merlin, everything works well with that combo. I was in the process of doing a vintage myself. I even had my cat help me vintage the dial & movement, shame it was in the movement holder & not the case when he decided to launch it off the desk, ah well time to find another dial, hands & stem
  21. Sales been pulled on "risti" Guy's "figured" out its a homage Good spot Dadog, looks like you may have saved someone 11k
  22. Royal Deeside in Scotland around 30mins from where I live, great biking roads we have round here.
  23. I was an everquest victim for around 3 years so I know what you mean, I ended up in a high end raiding guild so It got to the stage of playing every night for stupid hrs. I did play WOW in beta & actually that was what made me quit EQ, I was thinking how to play both when the penny dropped about how much time I had sunk into it. I think its been about 5 years since I deleted both from my hard drive, best thing I ever did
  24. Well folks since I started collecting reps I've had a problem with buying Pam's & deciding I have to change them, here are my latest efforts. The 040 started as a so-so 036 from Andrew, I allways wanted a Ruby/Josh version but seemed to keep missing the sales. I found this photo of a 040 on paneristi & the wheels started to turn. According to the post there was 7 or 8 of these versions made (spot the difference time:) ) so I thought why not. Standard Ti case H3 cannon pin T crown fitted & spaced to case CG ground to fit crown & case, what a joy to work Ti DSN 01a dial Solid Ti caseback ( OP & serial # should be on case but on back so thats wrong but I'll live with it) Red 12 strap SC legend buckle, much cape cod work & its still a bit too dark to match the case. The 03 started as a swiss 005 from PT but the logo was squint & I allways wanted a white dial version, I didn't have a "H" style CG so a 113 was out but I thought a 03 would work as the dial is the same apart from the "T swiss made T" Again standard rep case ( only pre-v case I have is on my 172 & thats where it will stay ) H3 pin set DSN dial & hand set ( I've seen better lume placement but sometimes its not worth the hassle to worry about it) Solid OP6502 A series caseback (should be D I think) T Crown with CG polished & fitted to case Not the best picture but I love the look of the croc in it Next projects I think will be a destro & a PVD to finish, anyone with a polished case with a flat topped "H" CG for sale feel free to Pm me. Feel free for comments & to point out any glaring faults, I'm still a learner at this allthough really enjoying it Thanks for you time
