  1. "Woah, you just squeezed out more than a fart."
  2. Not a replica today. I felt like I needed some radioactive goodness.
  3. If you're after accurate out of the box, go datejust or explorer I. They're not the most exciting models, but if you want accurate as hell, Rolex isn't the place to start.
  4. "Mom, the neighbours are watching!" "It puts the lotion in the basket or it gets the hose!"
  5. "Get your d!ck out of the small of my back, bro."
  6. No, that was Radium. Tritium got banned because it's an ingredient of an old-school H-Bomb. It counts as a WMD. You'd be fine, apart from the radiation poisoning.
  7. Saunas can kill even water-resistant watches as they heat up metal and force parts apart. For your next trick, swim with it on. Just regular ordinary swimming. That's a real-world test.
  8. So, you're happy that one country has a license and therefore a BBC, but you'd rather it wasn't the one you live in.
  9. Amazingly easy. They work off resonated frequencies and colour TVs simply have more EMF noise.
  10. You can ignore advertising? That's what they want you to think. For those who don't know the BBC, there are no adverts. Programmes are shown from beginning to end without interruptions. There are also some of the best documentaries, educational and children's shows simply because the BBC doesn't need to make commercially attractive reality TV. If you ever wonder why the BBC churns out high-quality ground-breaking TV, it's because they don't have to convince Procter and Gamble or Nestl
  11. Really old watches used Radium. Reasonably old ones used Tritium. Tritium has a half-life of 12 years to Radium 226's 1,602 years.
  12. If I were a 14 year old boy, I would think it was a crime if a lady teacher was taken off the pupil-shagging market.
  13. It sounds like the spring that makes it snap over at midnight has become disengaged.
  14. Well, that's one opinion. I've taken a huge amount of flak myself recently, with people (who should know better) basically accusing me of having tried to get dealer bribes for two years. Don't let the [censored]ers get you down; you know the truth and let's be honest, it's just an internet forum.
  15. Broken link, mate. You'll be wanting this one: http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/02/19/teache...x.ap/index.html
  16. He's active on RepGeek under the name Submersible24g.
  17. When you install Azureus, get it to run the tests. That'll tell you the problem.
  18. I think we established it was a gen. Or at least I hope we did. It's a gen.
  19. Your socio-economic class wasn't the kind they targeted. I'm not surprised you've never seen one, to be honest.
  20. Look up. See the 50s one? I will mention the BBC does have some dummy vans. In the 70s and 80s, most of the vans were dummies. Only about 25 are real, or at least that was the case before they moved to these GPS-powered ones. I've seen several TV Detector vans in my time and I can tell you some were dummies. It was effective enough to just drive a crappy van around and rely on the database of people without licenses.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressrele...ctor_vans.shtml "For the first time the detector vans will use GPS satellite technology to track down targeted addresses. This will enable TV Licensing to precisely target individual evader homes using up-to-the-minute information from its database of 28 million addresses." A 50s detector van: ps. They may only have 25 vans, however.
  22. TV detector vans aren't urban legends ... they work very well.
  23. Did you spot the bit I mentioned digital tuners? An old TV isn't obsolete if you can watch TV on it. There are a lot of people in the UK practically giving away (watch Freecycle one day) 28" and 32" widescreen TVs because they don't realise that they'll work exactly the same as a new digital TV if you plug it into a Digibox or cable.
