  1. They're both crappy 21,600 a7750 movements.
  2. 5 million dollar paintings are out of copyright and replica weapons are not trademark violations.
  3. Here's my opinion. You have two options and neither of them is a middle-of-the-road choice. Either get the cheap one or get the MBW. If you get the $200 one, you'll wish you either spent more or less.
  4. You're mistaking dealers and members. This was a member to member sale. Felony?
  5. If you've got more confidence than a seller, why not say you'll buy at your risk?
  6. According to the Moplar grading schemes, that'd be the Zhong-Sehn factory Planet Ocean, but only the model released in Q1, 2007. That has a genuinity rating of 0.96. The second and third place are joint, with the Xu and the Hang Zhei versions of the FM Conquistador and Omega Railmaster. These can be bought from any Moplar regulated dealer. This is, of course, completely made-up crap. The top-three replicas are exceedingly subjective and you'll never get a consistent and unanimous answer. As long as you consider the sapphire SFSO, pretty much any of the decent reps will be good enough.
  7. I think everyone needs these three watches:
  8. Not something I'd do myself, but definitely a project I'm interested in following. Keep us posted!
  9. I'm with Bazz. I have no imagination.
  10. What are the parts numbers?
  11. Excellent collection. It's definitely very ... black and blue steel sports watches. The Aquaracer stands out more than I'd expect.
  12. It's available. River had it on offer a while ago.
  13. Cheesy. And not in a good way.
  14. "Balls to the walls, gentlemen." Great silly film, vastly under-rated.
  15. If you're quick, you can get a few white hats to take the site down. Nothing says scammer like a DDoS or bandwidth hogger. Another method we ... um, I've heard about, is writing a perl-script that posts seemingly real data to the site every 3 seconds. If they have your address in a database, bury it in trash.
  16. Sorry, it's all automated. No-one ever gets to see your joke unless it validates.
  17. I found out what all the fuss was about this. Someone thought it was Gollum performing fellatio. I never even considered this when I made it.
  18. Is the problem now that you can't push the crown in deeply enough? If so, you may want to stop the spring in the crown from doing anything. If it truly is buggered, you can always sell it as parts. An ETA movement with too short a stem is still a working movement.
  19. His death will be the most mimed death on record. In fact, I told Mrs Pugwash the news through mime.
  20. Yeah, but when someone who was famous decades ago passes away at 84, it's hardly devastating news. He had a good life, achieved all his goals and made it into his 80s, iconic, rich and famous. If only we could all manage that. Oh, and his movie quotes page is funny.
  21. Who said it was feminists? Most of the complaints about the racy avatars were from people like me who didn't want to be judged by co-workers or people in the same houses for looking at low-rent sites. It's hard to explain to friends that you're actually spending time on a treasure trove of horological wisdom when they decide to see what the fuss is all about and it looks like a teen boy's fast-car forum. It's nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with good taste. Now, I don't mind the occasional heaving bosom, it has been noted, but when it starts getting out of hand, it cheapens the place. It's like Broken Windows, in my opinion. While you can look at Tech's blue-topped avatar and see that it's quite tasteful, even if it is a stripper-titted babe, checking the lob-rate of her mammalian protruberences, someone else could then assume you're supposed to have porn avatars to fit in. The thing that I actually find funniest is that these guys want to be seen as sexy women. I don't have a problem with that, but you have to admit it's funny.
  22. When asked for comments, his students said "..."
  23. I've looked at the Steinhart pilot and it's good. However, I really want the power-reserve.
  24. I am very impressed with the replica Breitling strap. I have a black and dark brown on order based on the quality of the honey one on my SFSO.
  25. I've got the cash in my paypal and that damned Millionsmart Tourbillon keeps looking tempting. I hope the Aquatimer doesn't get bumped.
