  1. Mrs Pugwash stole my Radiomir.
  2. I've been thinking about it for a while and I don't think I like the Nautilus. This means I'll probably buy one in three months.
  3. You had no error to wiggle.
  4. You can't stop the signal.
  5. Correct use of ellipsis: space before, three dots, space after. Oh, and two Ls. Ok, ok ... I'll stop now. I think I've made my point. The reason there are so many p*ssing contests is precisely for this reason. Someone will take a perfectly decent thread and critique the grammar or spelling of another. This is such bad form, especially on an international forum. It's even worse form when you're wrong, but we'll let that slide for now, shall we? This is, unfortunately, part and parcel of life on a forum. We're a community and the larger we get, the more likely we are to get threadcrappers, like me for instance, and trolls. The signal-to-noise drops a little and it gets harder to find the meat under all the vegetables. The meat is still there in abundance, but there's a lot more broccoli on the plate, making it appear lesser.
  6. An Aromatic, eh?
  7. Nah, the Ultimate PO looks rubbish.
  8. Gen toy, aftermarket spoon. You can tell it's a gen toy with the backwards N on the SUBNARI|/|ER text.
  9. You must have missed the organised crime implications of making perfect Rolex replicas. One dealer was looking into getting it done and it was alluded to that someone informed him that it may be a bad idea, if you see what I mean.
  10. From what I can tell, he means ETA movements are finished in Switzerland, regardless of their colour. Sure, some of them will be mostly Far-Eastern components, but I believe, and I'm willing to accept I could be wrong here, that the colour of movements has no bearing on origin.
  11. No. They're merely two grades of 28xx. Parts will be from CH and parts will be from CN.
  12. Theory? I thought it was pretty much common knowledge. I've had it on very good authority that this is how it works.
  13. List?
  14. Where's Madeleine Smith to test it on?
  15. Get a Steelfish and tell us why then. Experiment!
  16. Is your wrist transparent?
  17. Rep makers aren't the ones stockpiling the movements.
  18. The chronos use the 2894 movement. Not so reppable.
  19. The switch away from ETA movements is due to people stockpiling them for ETA's planned departure from the parts market. It's a genuine shortage created by a fear of shortage.
  20. Not by the methods you mentioned though. If they don't make mechanical movements in CH, why are they constantly hiring people there? And what do they make in all their production centres? (info available on http://www.eta.ch/)
  21. Bingo. If it's genuine, it's not contraband. Why would they confiscate it? I mean customs assumed it was genuine and taxed it accordingly as it was.
