  1. ... and everyone could take a lesson from IWC. Although, to be honest, I bet The Zigmeister sees an awful lot of GST Chronos, but hardly any straps.
  2. These three watches are all iconic in my opinion, but all for different reasons. The IWC GST Chrono isn't as well known outside of the replica crowd, to be honest, but it's a stunning example of 7750 goodness. The Titanium case is excellent and it has the best designed metal strap of any watch. I was tempted to put the MoonWatch in its place, because it is by far more iconic and it went to the bloody moon; You just can't beat that, but the GST is my personal favourite chrono. I'd buy a gen in a heartbeat if I had the cash. The Rolex Submariner is ... come on, it's a Sub. This is the latest incarnation of the classic design that launched a thousand wanabees. Think Bond and his Aston Martin, tux and babes. The Panerai PAM 111h is a perfect example of a classic Panerai. It doesn't look like a tuna can with alphabetti spaghetti on it, and it just isn't trying too hard. This watch is the watch yuo can dress up like a barbie doll in its little straps and buckles, giving you a watch for all occasions, almost.
  3. Aye, dabber, ya numptie. Haud Yer Wheesht! Apparently, I'm 100% Scottish according to this, even though I was born and raised in England! Pure dead brilliant, nat, ken?
  4. Zero, because x-x=0
  5. Superb watch.
  6. I have come close to donating several times, but I prefer to donate time as opposed to cash.
  7. A brolly.
  8. Too late. His post has been and gone. Nuked for not following the rules, unsurprisingly.
  9. So, no further comments or questions?
  10. For luming, I'd recommend Palpatine.
  11. He simply called everything he sold MBW. The $100 sub is the same as all the dealers do and it's remarkably good for the money. I got mine from TTK and it's still going strong.
  12. Did I mention how wild these pigs were?
  13. Just 14 very, very wild pigs and two half peacock heads.
  14. If you're born in an airport or embassy, you're not a citizen.
  15. It was at the Tour De France yesterday, but it missed the action shots as the whole thing was a two hour wait followed by 5 seconds of this lot rolling past. No chance for PAW pics until shortly after, I'll post more later in the big proper PAWpost.
  16. Leaves face the light. Unless the wall is made of ... um, sun, the leaves would not be facing that way.
  17. The truck weighed the limit when it got on the bridge but, as all motor-sport fans will tell you, the weight at the end of a race is lower than at the beginning. This in particular is why Valentino Rossi is better at the end of a race than at the beginning, as the fuel-tank is less full and therefore lighter. The truck used 30g of fuel to get to the midway point.
  18. I find it interesting. It's one of us that's posting it, too.
  19. I've heard that opinion a lot, to be honest. I get the impression that you needed to be weaned on Comics to get it.
  20. I liked Unbreakable, but I read a lot of comics in my youth.
  21. That's two words, but point taken. It's a shame, if this is indeed the case, as I like M. Night Shamalalamalama-alien's films usually.
  22. I'd say that it depended on which country they asked the question in.
  23. I read the mail and am exceedingly happy. It looks like this watch will need booking in for an appointment on your bench in another five years. Pristine. ps. For those of you playing at home, the watch we're discussing is my IWC GST Chrono:
  24. All it cost was a few grand at the AD.
  25. If you honestly believe that anyone can and will spot a fake VC Overseas, maybe you shouldn't buy reps. A blind man can spot these as fakes?
