I have been offered a gen BCE from a saleperson at an AD. He won it as a sales incentive from Breitling but would rather have money. It is the slate dial with black subdials and a crocodile strap. He has had it for about a month and has worn it a few times but it certainly looks brand new. Comes with box and all paperwork. He wants $2200 for it which is 50% off list. Seems like a decent deal to me (particularly when the rep with swiss 7750 is $628 with leather strap on Andrew's site), what do you all think? I would love to have a gen BCE.

I got mine from Angus and the end links look fine to me and the crown screws in just fine so it sits flush against the case. I just unscrewed it and rescrewed it back in, and it turns about one and a quarter turns or so (it's kind of hard to tell) but it's definitely tightly screwed in. I think unfortunately you just have a bad one. By the way, this is a GREAT looking rep, definitely the best one I have seen (although the HBB is a very close second). It's become my everyday watch as the HBB is just too gaudy to wear with a suit.

It is definitely unusual that you have not heard from Angus for that amount of time. He isn't as quick at replying as Andrew (who frequently replies within 10 minutes), but I have always gotten a response from Angus within 24 hours, including two recent e-mails I sent him about the TT BCE that is coming out after Chinese new year is over. Are you sure you are using the right e-mail address?

Tomorrow's watch (Friday) will be my HBB rose gold Saturday's watch will be the Breitling CE... I love this watch! and check out the nice gen Christian Dior Malice I just got from Andrew for the Significant Other... looks much nicer than the $15 watch from Target

My grey with black subdials has the textured dial (concentric circles) but it would be very difficult to photograph it so you could see it.

I thought he guaranteed the watch waterproof to 1000 meters. So I would certainly expect if it fails the test he'd replace it!

I did not get a tracking number but the watch arrived yesterday... actually was kinda more enjoyable to get it unannounced, nice surprise! I have ordered two watches from Angus and both were shipped and arrived promptly so I didn't mind the lack of a tracking number on this last one. With EMS tracking doesn't always work anyways, although on my HBB it did.

I don't think it's a lesser amount of $$ (or at least not much of a difference) because Angus's price includes shipping and Andrew's does not.

My date window is also very very slightly misaligned. But I don't have the issue with the bracelet you describe. It looks nice and even on mine.

I have Angus's BCE, grey dial and black subdials... it's AWESOME. Now, could someone please tell me how I get the steel bracelet off so I can try the leather strap? I am sure it's something obvious but I have no idea how. Yes, I know I am clueless :cc_confused:

Being Jewish, I would like to order one of these kosher watches from TTK. Then I can wear it to the synagogue without fear of being called out.

I had this problem too and it just magically stopped happening. I think it's a glitch on EMS's web site.

I've sent money a couple of times via WU and they don't ask if I know the person. But, I've always done it in person at a WU agent. Is it different in person versus doing it on-line?

Was it the rose gold bezel, SS case? Because if so, that's a limited edition model in the gen, only 100 were made. That's what Angus (and Trusty and Joshua) are selling. If it was the RG case, that's a regular model (I think) but not the same as the rep.

Hey Angus, when you do the new reps, can you have the factory fix the date font? It's about the only noticable flaw I can see when I compare mine to the many shots of the gen out there. The date font on the gen is a bit more bold than the font on the rep. I'll buy one of each you come out with, thank you very much!

Angus has told me that there were quality issues with the initial batch and that he is personally inspecting all the watches he is sending out to make sure they are OK. While of course I can't verify this, I received my RG HBB from him a couple of days ago and have worn it every day with no problems at all. It's a wonderful watch, definitely incredibly accurate.

I too cannot hear any difference between the sound of the rotor in my rep Big Bang (Asian 7750) and my gen Tag Aquaracer (Swiss Valjoux 7750). Ya shake 'em, they both make exactly the same noise.

Well they're not all defective. I got my RG HBB from Angus today (talk about fast shipping... went out on the 2nd and I got it today, the 8th in the USA) and it is perfect. The only problem I had was the clasp wasn't locking shut but it was just that it needed to be bent a tiny bit. Once I did that it locks shut just fine. The watch works great, knock on wood. None of the hands have fallen off and the chronograph works just fine. Also everything lines up perfectly. It looks GREAT. Wonderful looking watch. To those who think they are ugly, they look much better in real life than in photographs. This is definitely my best looking watch and I include my gen Tags in that. Angus!!! Black Magic and Rose Gold Ceramic, please!!!! I need these watches!

No, it's not the same, Gioarmani. The pic you posted is of the regular Carrera, which is a completely different dial from the Racing version even though they are both black. I put the pics from Tag's web site here so you can compare. The Racing dial only comes with red hands, not silver hands. So if you put silver hands on the Racing dial, it's, at the very least, not accurate (although maybe "fantasy" was a bit strongly worded). The rep we are talking about here has the Racing dial as it's a rep of the Racing version. So if you want it to look accurate, you need the red hands. REGULAR VERSION: RACING VERSION:
