  1. been a changeable day for me Started with in ingy on kevlar then a 3717 Left below and then the Crapbird on the right
  2. Dont know about size but this yacht had a shock How do Subs know there is not a sail boat above them before they surface? not like they have a sunroof is it??? oh and welcome (your not one of Bobs alter-egos are you??)
  3. You need more porn in your life, after the wife catches you with that you may be allowed a winder.
  4. Still off work due to a knackered left knee (meniscus)Bad part! Receiving an A7750 from concepeta to replace one with winding problems in my 3717, Swapping the movement out with out problems so now i had an auto wind 3717 again. Looking at the two movements and seeing the problem, Then thinking i have my old black bird movement that Michael Allen messed up, Hmmmm maybe i can get the Ratchet driving wheel out of that and fix this one. Yep that works so after reassembly i have a spare 7750! Hmmm what about that black bird movement, surly i can fix that as well, in a hand wind mode any way, so armed with the tech drawings for a 7750 that was reassembled to a working hand wind, big date chrono with one problem, it had no seconds hand??? Look through the draw and find the seconds hand from my first ever rep, a navitimer, cheepo day date thing and the the seconds hand although a bit to short and the tube being a bit loose (crimped that) and having a red end it looks ok. So at the end of the day i have My 3717 fully fit A spare 7750 day date (may be ordering some eta date wheels for this now) And my 1st blackbird working again in a limited fashion, (Due to the marks and scratches on the dial and hands left by Bad watchmaker this will now be known as crapbird!) L-R 3717, Blackbird and Crapbird Definitely keeping up with the motto of learn something new every day, 7750 are no longer as much of a mistery!
  5. I fitted a new balance in one of these the other week, a lovely movement that runs like a train, i loved the alarm function too
  6. I love this watch but cant find the one with the non square date window, i saw one photo here of one but i seams to be a rare beast. A wonderful design with great presence, total class.
  7. Yes in the winding position the watch will run, when you pull the crown to set the time the watch will stop (this is called hacking or hacking the movement)
  8. I think but not 100% it should be in the winding pos, hopefully ziggy will read this and confirm it
  9. It sounds like the keyless works is set in the hand set postion but wont allow the stem to go to the winding position where the movement will be unhacked and then allowed to run, where was the crown position when you removed the stem?
  10. Unfortunately i did not make that one but it is good, The placement on the pearlage is done with hand wheels on a X-Y table
  11. Looks great, Hmm may have to look into them
  12. it is Ziggy, it makes my day to make something beautiful, even better when i pass it one to some one else. This watch is getting collected tonight.
  13. looks good, but i dont see any thing better than in eurotimz v5
  14. Just have something like this with out a dial then or a dial like this
  15. Top film, cant beat a bit of Vinny Jones hard man act, or is it an act???????????
  16. Looks good is that a hirsh strap?
  17. Hmm i was informed on my radiation protection course that the counters that we have would not pick up tritium, we have to take yearly swabs and send them off. But saying that the same people told me that my old radium dials would not glow, but they do after a bit of exposure to UV light.
  18. Sorry Reg, no idea why i got confused there.
  19. An excelent read, just like the old days of RWG bravo This watch has always been a bit plain for me but you cant denie the better details on the V2, Looks like a top choice for some one looking for this watch, Good work
  20. Giving my moony a run out today
  21. Welcome Stephan, you will get a bit more response in English though as that is the language of the forum.
  22. Looks nice Ken, will you have any of these in before christmas????
  23. Well the only way to tell the age would be to swab them and send that off to a lap to check to see what bequels it is giving off, That should give you the age of the tritium at least
