Just very old freddy, tritium has a half life of 12.3 years, if this dial is old enough it will have no power left, i have 15 year old t dials here from CWCs and they are as dead as a dodo, my mates gen sub 1989 is t dial is also dead unless you have been in a dark room for 10 hours and then it glows just a touch.
Nice watch red, shame it fits you, let me know when you are bored of it and we can chat swaps, may not be a regulator but ??
PS did you see the bridge work?
I think for these vintages you would be better saving up a bit if cash and hunting one down, and getting it restored and serviced.
I like this one, very refined
I have a 7750 here with seconds at 3, the movement was messed up by a bad watchsmith but still kept good time i just could not get the chorons to works, i have since taken a number of parts off it the balance is still there and working well, I think you could use one from a swiss 7750 as well?
PM me with an offer if you want my old movement though
Ok the basic bridge shape is finished, the balance cock has been done as well but not fitted until the end as i have to repress in the jewel holder ect.
Now it is the finishing work, perlage, gold plating ect
What do you think Red
Something i knocked up last night
It is pretty rough but the lume is not bad
and a thought on my regulator proj, this it just a paper printed dial to see if i like the design and it was made with open office draw
I have seen an aerospace rep, I changed the battery on it but it was a POS, it was not the bright numbers, in fact there was no contrast on the LCD and on an accuracy point it was almost a fantasy
I think it will look good one one of those
but it may be a little tight as the 3717 is 21mm and that is 22mm, i think Stephane had a similar one fitted to his.
For me the SS is the way to go
