Non of the He valve should be pressed in, they are a self actualting valve that eaqualises the pressure with in the watch when it has been in a He enritched enviroment lkike a dive bell at depth you may find some info about He valves here

That looks to me like the tension ring that goes between the case back and the anti magnetic cover for the movement, I did not think a slevin had an anti mag cover but it may have.

Some times when things dont seam to be going well at all, wonderfull things happen, I think i would habe been in tears, but that is just me. I think it would be hard to ever NOT wear that watch.

The best thing i found about Tim Hortons in Lethbridge when i was there early last year was that the bar opened @ 11 and steak and eggs were a great cure for a hangover when served with another beer.
