  1. It realy makes you wonder, all the work to get something perfect and they mess up like that 80, it just amazes me!!!!!!
  2. Well the dot @ 3 if a full one but they all look a bit sloppily applied
  3. I have a dealer not far from me , if i am that way in the next week or so i can see that sort of price i can get for you, what model do you want, I may be able to get a better price than most.
  4. Welcome Matt, i second that about Panerai, Just dont do it, you will be walking round with a huge watch thinking it looks good Just like the rest of us Oh and they do!
  5. Thanks for the smile guys, last night i fxxxed up a $500 rear brake on my bike and have been fed up, so the smile was needed
  6. I did mine my self but i would not recomend this as a task for a total beginer, best fuck up a couple of cheep watches and once you can break them work you way up to breaking expencice ones, at that point you may have gained the experience to do the date wheel swap, and that is acualy the easy part, given a movement out of a case andf a new date wheel it is a 2 min job, now getting the hands back one and the whole thing re cased with out scratching the hands ( like i did) well that is another story. I have a draw full of experience in bits from cheep watches.
  7. Plus 1 I was total into the read, good work and wear that with pride
  8. So if i understand the last couple of posts correctly from Ziggy and Franciso, this is better than the porto and the daytona movement, but it would have been better it the transfer of mins was routed via the co-axial gear and use the jeweled gears for the transfer of seconds, If problems do happen then the graphite lube of the co-axial gear MAY be a solution but in general there is a chance that this may be a usable movement, Ok got it i think this will stay on my list and when i have the cash i think i will go for it. Thanks guys
  9. If you are going to change the crystal to plastic to make a moon watch you will need to change the back as well, if you are doing this to make the watch more like the original, try to work out how to sort the subdials first as it wont matter how many gen or better parts you put on it it will still look like a rep! BTW the saphire version is not flat but slightly domed
  10. Welcome, like Capice said read read read, it is all here!!!!
  11. Stickey balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he has sticky balls hehehe
  12. My Bad, i just had a look at tmy watch and they are indeed curved, i thought the slight curve on the photo was just an illusion with the besel, i will now shut up and stand in the corner
  13. I think the main question here is not the watch but the seller, @ the OP do some reasearch on Pam111, aka paul, aka womart @ Jason, PT will have the new version just ask him and he will get it if it is not in stock.
  14. well this half lume dot looks like it was a pain in the arse to make not just a slip up, I can just imagine some poor worker cutting up lume Dots
  15. Looks like it will fit to me as long as it is 22mm??

  17. Five fish and two loves of hovis!
  18. maybe when they start to make the 2008 subs we will see similar quality

  21. Was that not the HBB post that started all the trouble, like JCB searching the emplyees in the ceramic factory in china himself?
  22. I wish they would just use Google for reasearch, i cant find one with a half lume dot anywhere, any one else, if this is made from a gen peice then they, well i dont know what then but it smacks of bull to me.
