  1. if you are in the UK you might want to try RLTwatches, he has a very fast service and takes a number of payment options one being paypal, he supplies regimental nato straps to a lot of the military shops. And at 8 quid you cant go wrong.
  2. Hmmm while we are putting pressure for that can we have a MK xiv as well.
  3. When i saw and 82 in the flesh at the EU GTG i found it breathtaking!
  4. Now that is really upping the anti on the wrist check Utube films of your tourby going round and round and round and round and round and round and click Ohhh was that hipnotic for a second. Well done mate, i dont think i could wear one but i could sure as hell look at it all day! No change Some one please tell me when it gets boring posting the same watch all the time.
  5. Well if we find a 10yr old watch smith working over there, i will personaly adopt that boy, feed, cloth and educate him (does ziggy do teaching) And ensure his safety. I dont mean to make light of this situation but some one with a bit of skill could go a long way with the right education in the west.
  6. What, how could he be so stupid having spent time here, did he read nothing, he obviosly learnt nothing, is this the sort of person that would rob the bank he had just deposited his life savings in, in his real name?
  7. That is scary, the faults we could find now!
  8. The sales ect aside what i would like to know (having worked with carbonfibre) is how to get recessed subdials with concentric circles into the dial and still keep the grain to the top over the rest of it, not a critisism or any thing like that no agenda, i would just like to know how they do it, i am assuming it must be in the vacume molding process, just cant work out how they stop the grain coming through????
  9. I think the law we are talking about is also agreed with most countries world wide and is to stop the trade of exotic skins woods ect, gen strap will be made from hide that has been approved, proberbly from the same farm and animal but they have a licence! I am 100% sure that is you shipped this through german customs they would want a little chat with you! Have a read here But the chances once they are in the EU are good
  10. I would sujest a little lube between the rubber and the the pin, chances are it was put together dry and it is sticking, you might have to try to slide some thing between them to get the lube all over like a very fine screw driver.
  11. You could buy a $2.99 walmart watch and it will tell the time, but it wont have the name or looks of what we want to wear. I bought my wife an 200 euro citizen auto with guarantee ect, well after the 3rd time taking it back to the shop i just got my money back and bought her a rep!
  12. It may be that the crown is loose on the stem and has managed to shorten its self, therfore it is not long enough to engage the keyless works in the winding position. if that is the problem it would be a simple fix with a bit of skill, Question with the crown in the winding position turn the crown (Gently) as if to turn the hands back ward do they move and if you do this in the winding positon do you feel a gently clicking through the crown?
  13. Well to add my 2 cts, out of all the watches i have vought i have only had one fault personaly, a lume marker fallen off a rolly dial, i know others who have had the odd one die a couple of months in and one that was impossible to regulate with out a full service and he was not prepared to spend that cash on a rep. I have bought from most collectors over the past couple of years, but i belive that:- A I have been lucky B Never really been in a hurry and said that i would rather a good product than a fast one. C I have considerd my purchase and looked at what i was, what faults could happen and assesed if i could fix them. D I have been lucky Bear in mind i only have 2 chronographs, A handwind speedy (bullet proof movement) and a porto chrono a risk that for me paid off. The only way that we could affect the status quo is to support the collectors that have always been good, the ones that have always supported their buyers, this does not mean that we should never take a chance with a new one but it is just that a chance, i took one with Eurotimez before he was a collector here. I got in touch and liked the way he dealt with me and went I ahead, Chris is showing a way forward now i think with the way he is participating in the bvoard and the information he is passing on and his blatant honesty, i find it refreshing. So renforce success, and that thing will become stronger. Also there are many posts where people are reluctant to post the name of a particular collector, we MUST name and shame, other wise the party at fault will continue with shoddy service, To make a point in case I have never dealt with Paul, aka Womart, aka Pam111, aka Abay, there were just too many bad experiences here and leant from others. So think about what you are going to purchace Think about from who you are going to purchace If it goes wrong then speak out! Oh and never forget this is not exactly legal and they are reps
  14. How did i miss this before, i will add a link from my review, Thanks ben
  15. Come on bead blasting places are not hard to find, i know of 3 with in 5 miles of my home. for less then 500 euros you can buy a cabinate, compresser ect and do it your self.
  16. What is it, what movement is it, did it work before, have you played inside it?
  17. Now that is class Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Mmmmmmmm Heuer, i never realised that was a lefty crown!
  19. I am also wondering if JS is more than a bit of a watch nut, ie the pams in transporter films and now this , he seems to like to get a wristy in in most films??????
  20. You got it, but is it a heuer or a Tag BTW I dont know that much either, i think it is a tag but it would be nice if it was the original, but i dont think so, great film though!
  21. Nice BP mav, is that a GEN? No supprises from me, but a new shot from the view of my window, not exactly nice is it! but the watch is!
  22. Nope think 1960s but new film
  23. It is the same watch, It is cheeper becase of who is selling it, have a search for Paul, womart, Abay, crazy sales, and then make your decision, in this game it pays to research the seller oftern more than the watch, That is all i will say. On Crock gator and ss This was from Josh or Andrew cant remember now. Have a look at Stephanes review too as he has some excelent photos of the newer one from Precious Time, if you are in the EU i have to recomend his service
  24. My congratulations V and to Mrs V and baby V Only a true RWGer would get in a wrist shot as well!
