  1. If you look on the gen around the jewels are you will see i shiny circle where a 45 degree chamfer has been cut, also 1mm on your swans neck screw would not be enough to fully adjust the arm over to the minus side. by the way i always use my camera phone for shots like these
  2. Any time, just remember with out support this board may not be here next time you need help
  3. Firstly yours is on the right and the jewel recess are not counter sunk at all and i bet the at the screw for the swans neck is too short for any more adjustment. Also the shean on the top plate does not look so satiny as the gen the polish on the back of the crown guard also tells
  4. Should not be a lot, 30 min work at most, question is do you know a rep freindly one, I see you are not in eu but if you ask the members they may be able to recomend some one local to you.
  5. Dont worry you will see them all if you come to live here for a while BTW in your income of 80k are you counting in what you could earn servicing and luming all european RWG members watches?
  6. I looked on trustys site for the ROLEXP2003B and it is the incorect hand stack version he refers to BT. That is what i first thought of. Unles trusty sent him the wrong one ??????
  7. Please belive us when we say it would get spotted, the final "Finish" on a gen would be so much better, the engraving better and crisper, and even if it is one with an ETA base plate with a swans neck ect it will show not to be gen, if you can take a picture of your movement we can point out to you what we mean.
  8. The date changing when the hour hand passes 6 tells me that the hands were put on incorectly, not hard to fix if you can decase the movement and remove the hands and re fit them. To use this watch for a second time zone you need to first set the main time for where you are in my case this is germany, i then press the crown in untill it is in the winding position and by turning the crown anti clock wise the GMT hand can then be turned to the required time (24hour time) in another part of the world, (By turning clock wise i would be setting the date) in my case Uk or GMT time, remember that the GMT hand would be read via the numerals on the bezel as it rotates once per dat and not twice like the hour hand, so now at a glance i can see the local time and the time using the GMT hand and the min hand see the 24hr time in my second time zone. A Point to note is that i hav found that the GMT hand can start to lag after a couple of weeks and my need re-setting for example rather than being at 20:00 as per the example it may be at the 19:30 point. As you can see below my ex 2 with the same movement as yours shows the local time to be 8 56 PM becase it is dark out side, my GMT hand is point ing just before 20:00 so the GMT time or second time zone is 19:56. There is a version or this watch that has the correct hand stack and alows the hour hand to be independently set as per the original, so for instance a pilot who works on GMT time would set the GMT time and then be able to set the hour hand to his local time where ever in the world he is with out disturbing the GMT hand, a function not available with this 2836 one we have. On the good side though the reps with the independant hour hand have proved to be unreliable in the part this version is a good runner and reliable.
  9. You should be able to get a new stem from cousinsuk as they sell the movements or at least used to. Might be better to email them as i was looking for the movement online and it does not show under its old code of CH1901M
  10. Ziggy you could always add a couple of dependants on to reduce your tax, do you need a 37yr old son with lots of watches?
  11. Yep stamped up and with a kif style jewel retaining spring and nicely finished base plate, when you wind it you can feel it is a bit better than the others.
  12. Hi Slay, i was thinking of taking the train, going to check on prices tomorrow, but if you leave Bielefeld at 0800 you get to brussels 1400ish, easyer than driving and maybe cheeper as well, You are local to me so if i end up driving we can share the ride, question is who has the faster car, my pick up will only do 190kmh,
  13. I agree not acurate with that movement and you can see that the plates are stuck on, i think the point of the whole topick is :- Is it worth paying for the swiss base plate and asian bridges ( that will need a service to give its best), when the asian baseplate and asian bridges will work just as well for less money and will also need a service to give its best.
  14. I recon it is a fair bet that this one is a 100% swiss under those plates, older version black seal.
  15. I will give it another couple of days and then make a decision, 17 feb looks good and gives time to plan. people if you want to make a vote for the date do it soon please.
  16. I doupt that DIEVAS has breached any copy right and the cost includes a SWISS movement and not a Chiss or swinese one, also a years garantee from a public legal firm.
  17. You can see some pictures of mine here
  18. I belive it is sweden that your fine is tailored to your income, low earner = low fine, So dont go to court with a low income and 20k in wrist jewlery.
  19. I have been after a speedmaster for some time but the ones on offer never grabbed me, then i saw one offsite that looked better, maybe it was just the photos but i jumped in did a bit of negotiating and paid up and took a risk. The seller i will keep to myself for now. Communications with the seller were VERY good, it is so nice to be addressed with your name as opposed to "Friend" and all mail was fast and friendly. Paypal accepted too! Delivery was fast as it was shipped from within the EU, (i missed the courier service first time round so had to wait a couple of days but that was my fault alone. The watch its self came as a boxed set with inner and outer boxes, wallet, Booklet, hang tags and cards, and the quality is good, you can see differences when put next to the gen box but only very small and in all a very nice touch to store this baby in when not being worn. So what version is it? i would say it is the same as the one that pugwash reviewed here but with Sapphire crystal front and rear as opposed to the plexy that pugs had. This makes it a bit more accurate to the model number 3573.50.00 and not the moon watch model number 3570.50.00 that would not have the display back. It appears to have a better bracelet than the one that Baltic compared to the gen here this can be seen by the lack of curve in the bracelet and the better finished end links in the photos below, the edges were a bit sharp but no more than expected in a rep and were far nicer after a bit of a polish with cape cod, almost silky now. The case of the watch looks very nicely finished with the rear of the lugs highly polished but alas with out serial number. it has the same slightly deeper lugs to the gen case that Baltic compared his speedy with. The crown screws in and out well with out binding or cross threading and time setting also feels good and positive. The bezel insert suffers with the longer lines between 5 and 7. i was looking at getting a new insert to solve this but all the ones i have seen with the shorter lines don't have the tick above the
  20. Do you have means tested fines over there?
