  1. Stephane is going to email me some hotel information if any one want to join in the email info chain PM me your address and i will add it to the mail list.
  2. I would say a good shoe or walking boot store, Victoria might know a good supplier in the US, i remember some one advising against using "snowseal" for some reason, All that the german stuff has in it is Vaseline, canuber wax and plant oil, if you look for some thing with only those ingedients you cant go too far wrong. Like i say i use this on my boots and always take it when i go aggresive camping where ever it might be wet and before i go to do any thing give my boots a good aplication with a sponge and the wax.
  3. Any sort of dubbing would do the job, use a product called "leder pflege" same stuff i use on my meindl walking boots.
  4. I did the same to all of my rep pam straps and found them to be nice comfy and look good too.I cant remember who i first saw do this but far better than spending a fortune on straps for some one on a buget, or some one who likes to try to improve things them selfs. Hike i think i would have tried to remove all of the old coating that the rep factorys paint on, and end up with some thing like UB7s above then darken with some leather food or wax if you wanted it darker. My 127 one a rep distressed strap, this was a horible baby poo colour when i got it. My 177 also on a distressed stripped and redarkend with lots of leather food, this is my 177 swimming strap as it has so much leathr wax in it water just pearls off.
  5. Exactly what Andrew said, So small, dont worry about it.
  6. @ rec001 Also a 6 1/2 inch wrist, She also likes the bob choc strap i got her for christmas but i made this one up as well. Not my best work i have to say
  7. Your link is not working but i take it you mean article number 180200106768, i agree that incert is crap and the last pic if it is the same watch it is with a diferent pearl, also the hands and dial are very different colours.
  8. Sure as soon as she gets home, I have to warn you it is one a home made buffalo strap right now!
  9. Glad this got resurected, a treat to look at that watch, great work indeed!
  10. I have just been loking at those homages and at $520 for a legal and warentted watch not a bad option IMHO have a look at the home site
  11. I wish they would sort the problems on this movement like they did with the seconds @3 i would love one of these!
  12. One god thing about the plexi glass is that if it does get scratched it can be polished out with polywatch, The dial on this one is not the most acurate as it was based on a pre-production picture with the california at 12 where as the gen that was finaly distributed did not. You might find a more acurate representation of the dial here in a homage watch and a bit of info on the dial its self that was first used by rolex in the 30s.
  13. Well if you do come over you can be assured of a large welcoming GTG.
  14. Not all of them but she takes a bit of an interest, she has a 217, ex 2, SOSF and a gen Aqua terra, a 1940s vintage invicta. She got the gen so that way she cant complain when i spend a couple of hundred, I think i have well surpassed the cost of the gen now though!
  15. Last tme i bought a gen omega in UK a 30% discound was pretty easy to get! not sure about other makes though.
  16. Funny that the link on PMWF is actualy one of pugwash's pages not the factory, have a look at the address!
