Well that is better than some of the pics we have seen where the crown at 6 jumped out at you.

This came up in a post the other day as well, the 2842 is what was used in the swatch autos and is not a bad movement at all, just not what is advertised, on aa good side if you have a vintage sub with a 2824 and a new PO with a 2842 you can just swap them over!!!!!!!

Mark did the work on my fiddy too, new hands, crystal and canon pin, i am very happy with what he did, some dust appeared later on the dial but this was proberbly hiding in a cut out on the dial when it was re assembled and i in no way blame mark for it. If you have not had dealings with Mark then you should be reading this post, thats all.

I just looked at DSNs pics of this watch and he should seriosly think about re taking the pics or using maximilions shots, on the sales shots is looks like a boreing sausage dail, in maxes pics the shines and sparkles!

make sure you let the main spring unwind fully before you take off the crown wheel!

Frank if you bought a merc and ran it with no oil how long would it go before you had a problem, a properly maintained lada would last longer.

there would be no obviouse performance change as long as they all work at the same speed, the swans neck just makes fine regulation easier. As for ratchet and crown wheel should be easy, as long as you know what you are doing or are willing to learn from your mistakes

That is the thing on the gen you can bearly see it at all, maybe the photo lighting is bringing it out too much but would be better to leave it off, The daydate that i have had two of for gifts for others you had to use a loupe and realy search for the crown so they can get it right or at least some factorys can.

Remember the shot of him at the paris gtg, if he aint a boy then that is one scary lady!!!!

Nice thing friday night i was actualy asked which rep i was wearing as all the people i work with know i collect them, it was nice to hand over the gen vintage omega for inspection.

I liked that one but the crown out put me off, and that cactus, i dont like spiky plants, i spent some time in kenya and they have a bush called a Bxstard Bush, i think you can work out why!

That crown in the crystal jumps out to me every time i see one now though. And the only way to get rid of it would be to fit a gen crystal and i doupt that would fit.
