  1. I quite like the rubberised black version. Its bigger than the mens pasha's (38mm vs 40mm)
  2. How easy would it be to get a good black datewheel for this? i think the movt's an eta 2836. silix has the black dial version, but it has a white datewheel
  3. At the end of the day, its very admirable that you wish to keep your word to the new buyer. I'd say to just check when he was last active (online) on the forum, in relation to when you last PM'd him. Then base your decision according to that mate.
  4. I always wanted to see a corum rep vs gen comparison! Thanks, and congrats on 2 great watches!
  5. Paris is WAY expensive! Be warned! It might be better to go somewhere just as nice, but easier on the pocket. I've made the mistake before of going all out on a partners b-day, and the inevitable happens.....the next b-day you're expected to top the last one! If you can afford to do bigger and grander things as time goes by, then by all means go, but would you prefer to go there for a b-day, or a wedding anniversary?
  6. But the numerals from Pugs pic are for the Dumont, and are too thin. Unless Your friend is gonna manipulate them to make them bolder and more similar to the santos font, in which case ill just shut my big fat mouth!
  7. Pondering with baited breath (would still prefer an Ap ROO though! )
  8. No he actually has his own shop in Palmers Green, north London. Sells loads of high end watches like Ap's and (ergh) Jacob & Co's. A mate of a mate. Doesn't know Sweet FA about panerai's though!
  9. Thanks for the replys guys. The guy who told me this actually sells gen panerai's. A while ago, he said my 127 was fake because....in comparison to his (gen) 188 1. The crown guard has writing on it 2. The crown is different. 3. The crystal is domed. 4. There is no hack function. (remember the 188 is an auto). 5. Its too big compared to his one. (obviously the 188 is 44mm compared to 127 being 47mm) I bet i could sell him any of the 44mm auto pam reps as real, not that i would.
  10. The first rule of MBW is, you do not talk about MBW! The second rule of MBW is, YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT MBW! Not really MBW watches are quite hard to source, and i think are available through george. There are many other rolexes that rival the MBW quality, and you can buy them easily from many dealers here on the board. MBW vintage models however are supposed to be the best. If you want a modern Submariner/seadweller, then you can get one easily from one of the board dealers. MBW's also are put up for sale in the trading section from time to time.
  11. Eddie lives in canada. Its close to asia, but not that close!
  12. This must be the funniest sh!t i've evr read!
  13. Hey all. the title kind of says it all really. Someone told me that the Unitas movts they use in genuine panerai's have a hack function. Can anyone say weather its true or false? (maybe Veni, swdavid, quarks, or anyone else who owns a gen pam?)
  14. Great work Pugwash! Sadly, the roman numerals are different from the ones on the Santos 100. The ones you cleaned up are from a Dumont (i think) and are not bold enough, and a little too far apart. Can you clean up the wallpaper sized Santos 100 dial i posted earlier in the thread? Maybe that would help.
  15. i see it now. looks like the running seconds are at 9 o'clock, possibly a 7750 based watch?
  16. it looks invisible, cos i cant see it!
  17. First dibs on the steel version!
  18. Even a golden square with the correct sized case would be welcomed!
  19. This must be a first! Surely B&R know about the 'too small' rep already available!?
  20. Same thing happened to me. Tracking wont show. But then the watch was delivered and in 1 piece as promised!!!! Then about a day later i checked the tracking and it was up!
  21. i thought it was a very good article.
  22. Many congratulations!
  23. Probably a bog standard japanese auto movt. Any GOOD offshore sized Royal Oak would be a dream come true, even more so if it were the chrono version with a modified movt so the subdials could be in the right places (dont ask for much do i?!)
