  1. Hey! Happy Birthday Guys! Have a drink on me...now where's that drinking smilie??? Oh...you gotta search for it now Enjoy!
  2. I've never noticed. AND, never thought about it until a buddy of mine got one and complained that his was 1 or 2 secods off. I thought he was kidding, but somehow it bothered him. So...no, doesn't bother me. And I still don't notice.
  3. Lucky Watch... I tried this a while back (at the other place) and when she found out I wanted to put them up...I got a "OH, no you don't" response from the GF. C'mon...it'll be fun!! Um...nope. So, I guess I'll have to get her one of those watches and maybe she'll say yes next time.
  4. Ha Ha...yea, it's an LV, so, that might look a little funny. I think I'll hold on to my EL's best LV as it is.
  5. ubiquitous, you took the words right out of my mouth. Except for the "one on the way" part. I still don't get it. But, it's ok...my friends love my one and only Pam.
  6. Wow, what a great looking watch! ...and this is coming from one of the few blasphemous non-pam aficionados. Before I am drawn and quartered, I didn't care for Panerai at all until I came to these boards...now; I have an appreciation...but, still don't jump through hoops over them. Regardless, that is sweeeet!
  7. MMMM...cherries. Love it man! Can I get # 002????
  8. My sentiments exactly. I didn't really mind the watch, but it was more about the intention and idea.
  9. JTB, Sounds like a hoot of a time. Wish I could be there, but the 10 hour (double) flight isn't in the books for me right now. I miss Glasgow. I was there in 2003 and in Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo. I found some great Scotch in Glencoe....and a Hairy Coo (cow) named Hamish. http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Un.../photo63227.htm But, that's another story. Take pictures. We wanna share the fun when you return. Enjoy!
  10. Still love this A. L. & S.
  11. Well, I guess mine's easy to figure out, but: Ye Ole FROGMARINER
  12. Woo Hoo Curo!!!! Glad to see you on the board. Welcome!
  13. Hey Palpatine!!! Welcome back...glad to see your post. My condolences on you loss. I had a similar experience at a party with my father; he fell into my arms as we slowly dropped to the floor. It was a surreal experience. Luckily, it was not his time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
  14. When I am leaving to go out anywhere, I do the 5 point check. I suggest you try this next time: - In the same fashion as the Macarena, touch each part of the body that is needed starting at the eyes, then to the left (or right) arm, front left pocket, front back pocket, back pocket. Start at top, as such: 1) Eyes: Sunglasses 2) Arm: Watch 3) front L: Cell Phone 4) front R: Keys 5) back: Wallet Now, there are other things that some may need such as iPod, Blueberry, or the like...but JUST DON'T FORGET # 2. Do this NOT...and consider yourself naked.
  15. Ulysse Nardin (any of the following): Ulysse I Marine Chronometer 1846 San Marco Gigante Or even.. ...the Circus Minute Repeater
  16. Welcome Tech. Happy hunting...and NEVER lose that avatar! Woo Hoo!
  17. Wow...Great Sunburst Les Paul. I HAD one...78 black and white, gold trim, pearl frets. It was a killer.
  18. Yep...That [censored] took it all (that's what everyone calls her around here)...but, I have a lot today! Nice room to live and work in, new "paid off' SUV, and some of my clients back. So, it's getting better all the time. And, by the way, I HAVE all of my watches in a bag...but, you wouldn't believe it if you saw it. Quite a nasty pile of smelly junk. There was something in that water that would just melt anything...especially after being submerged for 4 weeks. Oh well...I hear a new purchase coming from here soon!
  19. Hmmm...be careful, if you spend it, they may find the error later and boom, your down 5k. I once found a $20 in my winter coat pocket.
  20. Yea, I get all kinds of love like this all the time. I don't reply unless I know them from the this dealer board.
  21. MAN...that's a beautiful Luminor/Cubana pic. Thumbs up to your post:
  22. Amen
  23. Yes, River is a great dealer. I've only had one or two dealings a long time ago, but they worked out well and he helped out with special requests. Sorry, don't know Tyson Neixxx.
  24. I, for one, am glad to read Gran's take on things. It gives some sort of finality to a completely confusing situation. You cannot have gratitude if you have resentment. Therefore, I chose not to have resentment toward Gran or anyone involved. Plus, after signing up here and realizing a new set of core beliefs...including some real generous people...I've learned ole Klink's motto is back in play. ...now on to better things.
  25. Wow, you've been spending some $$$ on reps. Got the fever? I like the sword hands and strap on that Rollie T. Thanks for the quick Joshua review. Good to hear about his shipping times.
