  1. Has anyone ordered a Calibre 1, or seen one in person, so as to give us details on quality and accuracy of the rep?
  2. Does anyone know anything about the Carrera CV201H.FT6007.SL being repped?
  3. True, no problem at all. Yes, POSSIBLE problem with the reversing click. Note, however, that I have this very same issue with my A7750 rotor, yet the reversing click is intact and fully operational. The culprit is the reversing wheel instead. Oiling is no solution at all in case you have a broken click and/or defective reversing wheel. On the contrary, improper oiling MAY cause an otherwise perfect reversing wheel to stick to the underlying plate, then you will have a problem. The winding occurs when the rotor turns clockwise.
  4. Very informative and very encouraging also. After reading this thread, I have disassembled my A7750 (first time I have ever done that!) auto winding module so as to look for the culprit for the issues my watch is having (I have a thread on this at RG). I have found the reversing wheel is only erratically engaging the auto-wind gears, whereas the click is intact and working perfectly. One thing I noticed though that differs in my A7750 from what GBC has masterly described is that it only takes 2 to 3 complete turns of the rotor to complete one "AB cycle", as evidenced by the audible and visible click of the mainspring click. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, GBC!
  5. I have one of the 770 models and absolutely LOVE the watch. I bought it at Saks for $425 with the orange strap, then bought a new black strap ($8 + a lot of work to get one), then managed to lose the orange one, can you believe that? Anyway, the watch is solid, beautiful and worth every cent of the retail price. It draws a LOT of attention and features a COOL compass function. And that is the sole reason why it is quartz and not auto: the compass. The fly-back chrono is charming and it also comes with a second time zone function. One of the cons of the 770 (not an issue in the 730 though) is the poor readability of minutes and seconds. As this model lacks the minor minute markers, it is always a pain in the ass deciding if it is 32 or 33 or 34 minutes, for instance. Also, the crown is not screw-down and no AR on the sapphire crystal. As someone has cited the porsche, enjoy the pics...
  6. He, he!! Hope no one has ordered that!
  7. I just got an answer from Angus. He apologized for the watch I received, and we are now talking about what to do next. May I remind you that my problems were with a porsche flat 6, misaligned bezel and rehaut, loose hour marker and wrong strap. I will have to incur in high expenses to have the watch returned to him (about US$50,shipped from Brazil) in a reasonable time. I will keep you updated.
  8. It's been 7 days and still no answer from PureTime. I have e-mailed him again minutes ago. As someone has already pointed out, he may be selecting which e-mails to respond to, either because he will not respond to everyone or because he is much worried about the "more important" members negative comments. Time to banish this dealer is approaching.
  9. It's been two days since I finally got my p-6340, exactly the same model as yours. Well... not exactly, as mine is flawed. But it really is one of nicest sport watches I have ever seen. Just love the movies on their website.
  10. I wanna make it public that I have just e-mailed Angus regarding my problem (see previous post in this thread). It took 21 days till I get my watch so it could be inspected by me, as I live in Brazil and I had three people involved in getting the watch for me (Angus delivery time was really OK, as the watch was delivered in about 10 days in its first destination in the US). I put my hands on the watch only yesterday, and after carefully inspecting it and rationalizing what to do next, I e-mailed him and posted this message. I believe his vacation is affecting his response time, and everything will soon be fine for everyone (hopefully). However, I would like to stress that the flaws found in my watch are blatantly obvious, and for that I will not be forgiving.
  11. thin strap misaligned bezels And I have just realized that the strap in my p-6340 is thinner than the case, and it shouldn't be. Take a look where the strap meets the case. To see the misaligned bezels, you should draw a straight line passing through the center of subdials at 6 and 12 positions and projected over the bezels. Oh man...
  12. I ordered a porsche flat 6. My piece arrived with both internal and external bezels misaligned, one hour marker hanging, the running seconds hand slanted and little dents in the external bezel where the strap sits. OBVIOUS LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL! One could argue that the marker dropped in transit, but what about the bezels and seconds hand? My single biggest disappointment in the rep game so far.
  13. Nice! I will soon be getting mine. It's a black dial p6340. How hard was it to set the straps? Any particular hints? see you.
