  1. nothing good to say? hmm, surely a typo nmbr6?
  2. thanks all. I guess replica-zone's is far from "perfect" then.
  3. Wow. Speechless.
  4. I would like to get a PO and I now see that "replica-zone" is offering his/her ETA PO for what seems like too little money in light of the description. SEE LINK --> http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=2476 Anyway, I am a bit skeptical of new dealers, so, to all the PO experts, is replica-zone's version really the better/perfect version (lol, I cant believe he said "perfect")? If so, I will have the pull the trigger and become a test subject for our new dealer...
  5. LOL (I recall bricky being a member of the price police in the old days). Anyway, last I checked, RWG's rules are pretty clear. So what does admin' being on vacation have to do with anything? The rules are what they are. Anyway, good humor. And it is nice to see fodder for the oh-so-cool " anarchists" such as bres (aka, limited edition) who will jump on any opportunity to whine about "injustice." Good f'n humor. (I would like to add that I disagree with the requirement for posting prices, but the rules are what they are...ya know?). Again, LOL.
  6. Even if the Rolex was a better rep, which it is not, the breitling is still the way to go IMO -- for the average guy. In addition to breitlings being way cooler, the price difference between the genuines is fairly significant, thus when I see a Rolex on most people, especially a Daytona, the first thing to pop into my mind is "fake"

  8. I had some problems with a purchase from andrew in the past and he made up for it. I would not worry. He is indeed trustworthy.
  9. I could not get in
  10. I have rather large wrists and wear Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece (from Joshua), VC perpetual calendar (from Joshua) and Breguet 5900 (from Andrew). All look good and are good "dressy" options. There are numerous "dressy" options out there, but you may have to buy an x-long strap for the watch you purchase. Happy hunting
  11. Mean, but good humor nonetheless. Gotta love good humor.
  12. Welcome Dave

  14. answer my PM over at the old site yobo.
  15. Elliot is a liar. He lied when he was sending [censored] email demand letters under the DMCA and he is lying now about his "lawyers" protecting him from the big bad panerai lawyers. No lawyer would send a demand letter via email, and no lawyer who did not want to commit malpractice would send the laughable DMCA notice that elliot sent to the members at old RWG. His "notice" from his "lawyers" was not even remotely compliant with the notice requirements under the DMCA, thus he is making it all up and continuing to feed you lies. Yeah, I know, "second chances" (wa wa wa). But the guy is just a liar who is lying once again to cover his mean spirited, empty, baseless lies from the past. Do business with him until your heart's content. He is still a POS.
  16. Wow, a rectangle breitling. You are correct Mr. Bombadil...I am not very impressed with Breitling's new wares. In addition to rectangle thing, the texture of the dial looks like the same texture of the bezel on the bentley...which I have always found to look to blingy for a civilized man such as myself
  17. I never got the obsession over posting prices. Makes no difference to me. If I email them and dont like the price, then I have the choice of moving on. Even if the dealer posts a set price, it does not mean that he wont give a discount to repeat customers, bulk orders, etc. And if the dealers are willing to put up with lots and lots of emails asking the price question over an over, then so be it. Anyway, seems silly to make them post a price if they dont want to.
  18. I have the same recollection. I'm pretty sure it had a limited release in Japan. (at least that is what I recall from the old thread).
  19. Good to see Congrats Alan.
  20. NFL Europe? Does that count?
  21. Well, the full point of this thread -- as I understood it – was: (1) to get the people who got screwed to respond the PMs and emails at old RWG, so the new RWG administration would know how much each person would accept as a refund (if anything)…so a fundraising budget could be created to finally put the RWG watch fiasco behind us. The point was not to toot anyone's horn. and, (2) to serve as a level of transparency to assure those who "chose" (and those who continue to choose) to donate -- that the money being raised would actually go towards something "real", i.e., the specific sum total of refunds going out to those who were being refunded. With that said, the people donating funds are the most important part in this equation. While I feel bad for all those who were screwed (and I was one of them), the new RWG does not owe a penny to anyone. The real good samaritans here are those contributing their hard-earned cash to this effort. The new RWG is simply (1) trying to right a wrong that should not have occurred in the first place, and (2) taking steps to ensure that it is not lumped in with the bad acts of those who are actually responsible for what occurred in the past. And the new RWG "is" its membership, which seems to be responding rather well. Hopefully, those who choose to donate to the cause will do so or continue to do so.
  22. Yes, but first...lets start a collaborative watch initiative...maybe we coule call it the RWGII watch. I will source out prices and get back with y'all

  24. The quality and thickness of the plating will dictate how long it lasts. From what I've read in the past, it will eventually start to fade based on how often you wear it, whether you sweat when you wear it, etc. Some people go so far as to clean the gold after they wear it with soap and water. And I would not spend anywhere near 500 bucks for a better finish.
  25. I dont think anyone said elliot was a crook or that admin is accepting a crook. All they said was elliot should not be trusted in light of his past conduct and the forum should not let him have a place to "use" in light of his past actions. Everyone is entitled to an opinon... I personally think elliot is POS and should not be allowed on these forums based on his empty, baseless threats and bannings of people who just happen to collect reps.
