  1. Good luck, Fender. Do what is needed, you're a fine member regardless of your status. Val.
  2. Great information, cougar1! Thanks very much. So if I understand correctly, the only improvement since last December is the better logo position. You say there's a new PO ahead? Interesting! Val.
  3. OK, total Breitling ignorant here. I'm normally not into Breits which is probably why I like this rather atypical design. Don't flame me Do the Breitling specialists know anything about the factories planning on making a Transcean Chronograph? I badly need one! Any news? Kind regards and thanks for input Valerian
  4. Great stuff! Have you some more? Keep them coming! Val.
  5. Hi everyone As Tribal pointed out some months ago the new Ultimate PO 42mm versions have silver dial printing instead of white. What's bothering me even more is the greenish lume which should be very white really. I have seen members stating that there are new generations of dials. Have the problems pointed out by Tribal been adressed by the makers? Anybody know? Not everyone really feels like pimping their PO with gen parts so this seems important. Thanks for your observations. Valerian
  6. I have this: http://www.moshimonde.com/productDetail.aspx?group=30 Most stylish, but I don't know if it fits a Verizon model (no variations in Europe I know of). Gets many compliments! Val.
  7. Hi and welcome! DSSD exists in very good versions, I believe. Expl. II might be trickier, the best Version is not produced anymore, I think. Make sure to read a lot! Val.
  8. There's chain icon right beside the smiley. It's gonna come in handy for you. Val.
  9. Hi and welcome to this great community! Your approach is quite interesting: You dream up a watch and then go look for it! Would be quite the lucky strike if you found it. Sadly however that's not how it works. If you want an Omega read your way around the Omega Forum here and have a look at the dealer website. See anything you like, read specific reviews (search butten is your second best friend, By-Tor's thread you mention is your very best friend) and then ask what has not been answered. I might be wrong but there is no blue 45mm Planet Ocean I know of. The black one however is a great rep out of the box and can even made better by adding original parts over time. Have fun and don't forget to have a look at other brands as well. They tend to lure you in... Val.
  10. Great post, Eiderdaus! Very informative. Thanks! Val.
  11. Never liked the design of these (besides it would look ridiculous on my stick insect arm) but this looks exepetionally well made! Congrats! Val.
  12. You are not being trampled on at all. Bill considered the fact that you're a new member (affectionately called a noob around here) and used this to your favour. He just told you that it's wise and part of the culture here to first try and solve it with the person you did business with before getting it in the open. He also explained why and it's a very reasonable explanation. Had you asked if this is an easy fix without naming the dealer it would have been an entirely different story. You would have been told that this is no easy fix and that you will have to solve it with the person you got it from. It's very understandable that you're upset but the rep game demands loads of patience and if something like this happens you will have to stomach the additional waiting time. Being edgy will not get you anywhere but you will get harsh reactions because everybody here has long accepted the fact that the rep game needs patience. Give BK the chance to make this right. I'm very certain he will. I have experienced his way of dealing with a problem and he is a complete gentleman. I wish you good luck with this. And I hope you have another watch for your holidays so you can fully enjoy them. Kind regards Valerian
  13. I hope you did't take offence. I did not mean to be rude or so. I'm a lawyer by profession, so maybe a bit over cautious. Have a nice weekend as well, seeing as you deserve it very much with a job succesfully finished. Val.
  14. Are you sure his watches are gen? He might be a fellow member. Anyway, I wouldn't risk to put that pic up. The story's fun though. And congratulations on the finished job. Val.
  15. Nice watch. You need to be VIP oder Platinum Member to either sell or trade it here, though. Doesn't cost you much and helps the board a lot. Val.
  16. Nice to see you posting! Have a great trip and give a shout if you're in Switzerland! Val.
  17. Hi No real need to get a new watch because of this. Why not buy yourself a nice leather strap? Besides this your question is far too general to answer. There's hundreds of possibilities. If you like to deal with Andrew have a look at his site, choose some models, research them here, then ask specific open questions. There are some watches that have known functionality flaws, like all seconds at six chronographs. But that you'll find out by reading the reviews on the watch you research. Generally speaking, the more complicated and unusual the model the higher the risk of problems with functionality. Read around in the brands sections! It's fun and educating at once. Good luck! Val.
  18. Ouch! Sorry to hear it. Did they send it to the factory? That would explain part of. Swiss Franc is rock hard ATM. Val.
  19. Wow! Wonderful stuff! Val.
  20. Oh wow. that looks painful. Get well soon, man. Val.
