  1. Oooh, missed these comments on my pix! Nnomad, you're one tough critic. But I guess you're quite right. I still have to learn a lot. And get a better cam. Thanks anyway. @lani: Thanks for the kind words. The Alps really are fantastic. Gotta go back there soon. It's spring time now! Yours kindly Val. (sorry.....must....not.......poke....the penguin! Aaargh!)
  2. Lani, sometimes you make me speechless. You humble through your gentle-heartedness. Val
  3. To make confusion complete: There's also Subs without magnification lens. They tend to not have a date window either, though. Yours kindly Val.
  4. Thanks for the kind words, guys. Me too, I like that last pic, it's one of the best here actually. Hmmm. Maybe it's an accident but that's the only pic my girlfriend did. Now what does that tell me? Grrrr... Night all. Valerian
  5. Great pic, Scoobs! ...of a great watch, btw. Kind regards F.
  6. Hi Josh and Welcome! Seems you're in for a treat, you have found the ultimate source for Rep watches. Before you order or ask further questions regarding "who has the best Rolex" (which will receive some sarcastic reactions for sure) I'd advise you to read the reviews in the Rolex section. We have many members which invested serious amounts of time and enthusiasm in writing about the models available. Also a great piece of information: Toad's sensational Noob guide Take your time to land here, it's a very interesting world. Yours kindly Valerian
  7. Forgive my ignorance. Is this gen? It's awesome! Yours kindly Valerian
  8. Thanks guys! We did enjoy the snow. It's not gonna be there for much longer though. You could watch it melt. Yours kindly Valerian
  9. Hello everyone I took a weekend trip to the beautiful valley of Engiadina in eastern Switzerland with my girlfriend. We stayed in the little village of Bever, very close to St. Moritz. You see a lot of expensive watches and all the other sort of stuff the Chinese like to replicate... Did some snowboarding, had some nice meals in hugely expensive restaurants and went window shopping in Pontresina. Anyway, weather was fine and the scenery is awesome, so I decided to do some pix for RWG for everybody to enjoy. Please forgive the quality of the photos, still practising here. Watches involved: IWC 3706 Fliegerchronograph GEN Rolex GMT Master II Ceramic REP (from PT) Thanks for looking! Yours kindly Valerian
  10. Been to Engiadina this weekend and had to wear a lot of Rolex. Stroll in the nature this afternoon, so a bit of IWC was allowed. The Rolex was with me as well of course! Yours kindly Valerian
  11. Sorry for late reaction, been away for the weekend. And thanks Freddy for your hint. After reading your answer I tried to bend back the bezel (NOT the insert, of course) which turned out to be impossible. So your comment was quiete to the point: I obviously didn't bend it the first time round, it's way too solid. It was most probably bent from the beginning. My not being able to turn the bezel seems to be the result of something else. I'll try to find out what it is. Probably something with the spring. So sorry for the noob confusion here. Thanks guys for your help! Yours kindly Valerian
  12. Thanks. I'm on the road now, no possibility to post pix. Will get back later.
  13. Thanks, Nicke. I tried to make one, but the bezel is only so slightly bent, I can't seem to catch the problem.
  14. Hi everyone. I have a lovely SSDv2 which I got from Chris half a year ago. It's beautiful but needed a bezel insert replacement. I got one from Watchmaterial with a very good pearl. This item is sitting on my desk at the moment as I tried to solve another problem: The bezel was slightly too loose so I removed it using a pocket knife (never use a swiss pocket knive on a chinese watch!) for bending up the two small springs that make the bezel click on the SSD. Needless to say that: First I cut myself in the forefinger and second: I bent the bezel slightly by removing it. (I also scratched the case, but that's no problem, I like the used look on a tool watch). Sooooo. My question would be: Does anybody have an idea how to straighten the bezel back? It now changes from soft click to almost fixed when I turn it. Or do I have to get a bezel replacement? Thanks for your thoughts in advance! Yours kindly Valerian
  15. Looks mighty good on your arm! Congratulations! Yours kindly Valerian
  16. Hi Bobi and Welcome. I'm from the country north of yours. This is a wonderful place to dwell. Please take some time to read before you ask your questions, it will prevent you from asking stuff that's been answered many times before. A good start would be Toad's Fantastic Noob Guide. Take care! Yours kindly Valerian
  17. Did you go to an Off-Topic-Emergency-Room? @TJ. Sorry for your friend. I have no idea whether that could be a problem. But I'm sure there's some medical professionals here. Yours kindly Valerian
  18. The Raffle Meister knows no mercy! Great, Lanikai. You're really one of a kind. Kind regards Val.
  19. No surprise there. But the "Filter" here is better, you get more noobs. Whereas the other thread fetches all the guys (almost I guess ). But ladies should have free entrance anyway. It's the old Disco trick. Yours kindly Val.
