  1. I knew something was wrong when i sat my fat ass down in the car today. Something felt "off", you know like when you wonder, did i really turn the oven off?

After a few secs it came to me.. i had left the house not wearing a watch!!! God help me, what to do now i thought.

This have not happened to me.. ever. Not that i can remember anyway. Yea sometimes you leave the house not bringing the cellphone, carkeys, wallet or hat. But you never forget the watch. Atleast i dont.

Now i didnt return home to get a watch on my wrist, after all i was just on my way to the post office. But i thought about it. Had my doubts if i could show myself to the post woman not wearing any watch. As a matter of fact i could, and she was even nice to me. But i wont try this cinda stunt again!

So it was a first for me today. Being in public without something awsome on my wrist! Hurray?

    Do you also feel naked?

Now sry for the spelling, not native eng.

  2. After my visits to MBK i think that all watches come from the same backroom in the mall. They (stalls) never have what you want, they (sellers) all have to run away to get it. So where do theese sellers run to get stuff? My guess is the big warehouse.. where all stalls get their stuff from.

Btw i thought i made good deals at MBK.. thoose watches have all broken down.. cheap stuff ://

  3. Thnx for all the good replys :)

It seems im struck with a bit of bad luck. I have learned though to use dealers that QC, i think that could save me alot of problems in the future.

I am going to send the chronos to dom for service so im hoping that i will have watches that work later this fall. I just wish a could use a watch for more then 6 months without parts falling of etc etc.. ;)

Again thnx for all the input so far. Pls share your experiences.

  4. I have been on the forums for a year now and have during that time bought 5 reps. Not the cheap ones but rather reps that are considered to be good/great ones. All bought from approved dealers. Now all off them has had errors during the past year. I didnt really think about it until today when i went to the watchbox to get a watch and couldnt find any that work as it should. Now

  5. Hi all,

Panic mode! This morning i was about to set the time on my Ebel 1911 Discovery. When trying to screw in the crown it would not screw in. I can push the crown all the way in to the end position, but i cant screw it in to place. I think the crown screw threads are gone. But im not sure so i need some input. Any quick fix? Also, if the crown threads are gone, what to do next? Where to source replacement part?

I bought the watch in feb -09 from Josh, even worth asking for a repair from him?

Newbie at this, so sorry if anyone feels the q`s are a bit "newbie" :)

    Thnx in advance!

Watch is running fine when crown is at this position. Cant screw it in though.

I can push the crown all the way in. As soon as i remove my finger it pops out again.

    img1020e.jpg

Crown is now all the way out to show the threads. Threads looks ok i think?

  6. Yea i agree, i miss the shouts!! Didnt even know there was a link to the shoutbox, must be well hidden.. *off to look*

    In the mean time:

Bah was gonna set the time on my Ebel 1911 after a week in the watchbox.. now i cant screw in the crown :///////

  7. Just logged on to make a shout when i noticed that this feature has been removed. Me who loved to shout!

So i thought lets make a shoutbox thread instead, for the pointless comments and thoughtful insights. I want to hear about the beautiful mornings in Hawaii! :)

    Let me be the first:

The blonde girl at the office could not take her eyes from my dsn 104 today. Victory!! :D

  8. Oh this is a way better hobby then most. My friend Snowboard.. well did until he made his back useless after a big jump.. well crash.. So we rule! (ehh)

Anyways its a lurking addiction. I had a couple of weeks of the forums and thought i was cured... then one day i just had to check in again to se if any new pams were out...

  9. Heya all,

I thought it was time to present the current collection after a year here at RWG.

I started off with a TAG Carrera from Josh along with the Link. The carrera i sold though and got the UPO instead. Sold that as well and got the DSN Pam. During a trip in Thailand this spring i got the 2 MBK`s. Not sure about thoose two but they look good in the box.

Now after some time here i feel that i know what i want in a watch. Takes some time and money to find out though. I guess thats why its a hobby :)

    Ok time for some pics:

Rainer 6` watchbox. Quality and looks are great. Now its finaly filled as well.

    Inex quartz.

Swedish brand. First (and only) gen watch i have bought. I keep it for sentimental reasons but dont wear it.

    img0978jcp.jpg

    TAG Link

Bought from Josh in 2008. A-7750. A sad story behind this. Was sent to K222 for double AR and DW swap. Never got that sorted out due to his scamming but he actually sent the watch back to me. I was one of the lucky few. I have used it maybe 40 days and have had to get 3 bracelets for it (no QC J/bad qual/unlucky). Now the second hand wont reset to 12h marker. So i dont use it but i have plans to AR/DW/fix second hand problem cause it deserves it. I will win this battle! ;)

    MBK PAM Regatta(?).

A-7750. Bought this in a stall in MBK mall this spring. Dont wear it cause it cant compare to the DSN 104 i also have.

    img0997.jpg

    MBK IWC Aquatimer

A-7750. Bought at the same time in MBK mall as the PAM. I cinda like it but it got a few QC issues so i dont wear it. Again this cant stack up to the Link or 1911, but it looks good in the watchbox.

    img1000.jpg

    DSN 104

I just love it. Not modded. Got a couple of straps for it but mainly use this black vintage strap from V with a GPF-Mod dep. buckle (replica).

    img0963j.jpg

    Ebel 1911.

Bought from Josh in early 2009. My daily beater. Great AR. Quality and feel is outstanding. Also its a plus that its almost 1:1 to the gen. No mods needed i will just enjoy it. Actually this watch is so good that i feel happy with my collection, im content :)

    img0967hyx.jpg

Conclusion after a year: I dont know anything anymore. And im broke. But im happy. I got a DSN PAM and a Ebel and that covers 99% of all watch needs i have (at the moment). And through RWG i have meet new friends and contacts. And learned alot of the world of replicas. I will probably stay here for a long time. Btw if you want the MBK`s pm me an offer ;)

    Goal: Gen PO!

    Have a great summer! cheers.
