  1. I love the comedy engravings on the backs of some of these cheapies. It's also a certified Chlonomeler So, Oscar, what are you gonna "Chlone" with it... lemme guess:
  2. Looks good for the dough, mate. Was that quartz or a 21J? Either way, enjoy! I must try a Bentley again - last time it felt like I was wearing a hubcap strapped to my wrist, but having gotten used to the size of the Fiddy (which I've been wearing all week), you never know - I might feel a little more comfortable with the Bentley now. I like deployant buckles, but every now and then I come across one I just can't get along with (APs in particular - big time pain in the wrist...). My usual solution is to fit a regular tang buckle to the strap - I don't know about Breit straps, but AP & PAM deployant straps can handle a regular buckle without problems. Might be the cheapest solution. Buckles are available on eBay or you could try www.watch-band-center.com, who are my usual source for cheaper straps/buckles etc.
  3. Oh, I thoroughly dislike RG, Col, but I'm a member there just as I am at RWI (and even RWS still despite the ban lol). It can be a useful resource at times - I just don't join in with the chatter and all the "SPAAAAARTA" crap Worth signing up even if all you do is lurk.
  4. Oh, it happened. I have the overdraft to prove it. What I don't have, though, are photos of the various cars I've owned over the years.... More interested in driving them than taking pics of 'em. I'll take a pic of the Benz I buy when and if the damned insurance company ever make a bloody decision (getting mighty [censored] off with 'em, let me tell you). My only consolation is that I managed to persuade them to upgrade my courtesy car from the poverty spec Peugeot heap I've been driving. Only a Vectra, but given that's what got mashed by the tree, it's fair enough, I guess...
  5. It's clearly stated on his website if you'd just look, but $35 for EMS
  6. :D And expecting that reaction from you is why I said it
  7. PICS OR IT DIDN"T HAPPEN! :D Seriously, though - congrats. Bummer that it arrived when you were away. Shame it's only a Breitling, but I guess ya can't have everything Sounds like you lucked out on the rollie crystal, too. Wear it well, mate
  8. hmm - not gonna touch that one with a bargepole... Oscar - you're on your own with this one - good luck
  9. Then I'd just be a [censored], which doesn't quite have the same class, ya know?
  10. Fortunately. Awesome looking watch - It's good to finally see a rep of the 8 day with a working meter. Very very very tempted indeed - my list of 'must have' PAMs is getting longer....
  11. The first you're welcome to. How about the third?
  12. LOL - quite right. Still, that CX would be worth a lot of money now..... Mind you, I would probably have spent twice its current value keeping it running
  13. Having checked the image for evidence of thrown items and sundry weapons, I'd say no, that's not my first wife. She wasn't blonde, anyhow, and this one's smiling, which tends to suggest it can't be her. The guy in the photo looks more like my dead-beat son-in-law than me....
  14. Interesting list - I see we have at least one car in common. For comparison's sake, here's a few of mine, in no particular order: Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo (targa) Nissan/Datsun 280Z (targa) Saab 900 turbo (the original version of the 900 pre GM) Saab 99 EMS Saab 96 Monte Carlo (the old sixties rally-spec one. Incredibly rare even then). Citroen CX GTi turbo M-Benz 230TD estate (I put around 150,000 miles on that one - still drove like new). Mini Cooper S (the original sixties version) BMW M635csi Rover SD1 3500V8 Vitesse What's a little annoying is how many of those cars are now considered classics and are appreciating in value. There's at least three there that I wish I still owned

    Try These

Indulging in a little Internet archaeology, are we? I think I first saw that on Usenet well over 10 years ago....
