  1. Ok. I just emailed Rob on price for 26/26/145/85.
  2. I just picked up a nice Greg Crazy Horse strap for a nice price. But, you're right. Period leather and thread . . . the attention to detail is incredible.
  3. At least in the U.S., buying and owning a rep is not a crime. Buying a rep and exchanging it in place of a gen at a store is, however, a crime. Don't dare do it. Bad idea.
  4. Nice insult. Thanks. Trying to keep people from finding this thread searching 'their' and 'ridiculous' on google? Despite the young man's appearance, I'm sure he could at least spell.
  5. That is breathtaking. Man Mark . . . always to the next level!!
  6. My wife got it for me. And, no, for the 100th time . . . Jennifer Garner is not my wife!! And, that's not my cat.
  7. Just curious if anyone has heard from Joe. I've lost contact. I hope he's ok.
  8. We should meet for coffee to go over this.
  9. Kritz. In building my 6152 project, I've also recently learned the hard way that there are at least several manufacturers involved in making any given model of rep, which is the main reason for the variation. I've got a growing collection of parts as a result. I too would like a clear set of instructions on re-inserting a stem into an asian 7750 with a simple button. I've messed up every single asian 7750 I've tried to fix (typically a misaligned hand) trying to reinsert the stem. I have no problems doing it on the manual unitas movements.
  10. Strange. Perhaps the pin is flush at the bottom and was pvd coated over, so it appears that there is no hole. Maybe?
  11. Ok, dumn question . . . am I correct that the 16 lines refers to a sizing system? If so, how does that convert to metrics? Or, am I out in left field somewhere?
  12. Really? That is too bad. A lot to pay for fantasy.
  13. Hey. Did you all catch Puretime's solid gold Calatrava offering at TRC? 1500 beans. Looks fantastic, I think. But, I'm no expert on this model.
  14. Lol! I've got a 616, but have never seen 618's.
  15. Yes, I was just informed about those MF straps. Very nice. The new ones from Micah at panerisiti look nice too - very similar look. I ordered a 127/217 crown from Davidsen, so hopfully that'll fit in the guard. It is very clear that I will need to shorten the lever cam - it leaves very little room for anything between it and the case. I'll have to take a close look at the dial this evening to see if there is any misalignment. I'll post true top view pics later.
  16. Actually, it looks like it was installed through the front of the case.
  17. Looks like WM was able to fit the movement without a space ring. The 616 would require the spacer ring.
  18. Thanks Ubs. Here's another angle.
  19. Thanks to Davidsen for the wonderful domed plexiglass crystal, thank you Reelamore for the RXW case, and thanks to Marco for the vintagized MM dial - these were a match made in heaven. Now, I just need a sub-second hand that'll work with the cal. 616 movement, a crown (soon to arrive from Davidsen), some engraving AND assembly!! The crystal and case, though, were a major step forward. I'm very pleased with the progress so far. Here are pics:
  20. Sorry, I just re-read. That is what you said. I stand corrected.
  21. Oh, I really like this. Very handsome, indeed.
