  1. Here are some additional pics. My son in the third pic is actually the owner of this fine watch - I'm just keeping it safe for him until he's old enough to appreciate it. In that picture, he's standing below a first stage of a Saturn V rocket on display at Kennedy Space Center. He's holding up his toy Saturn V rocket, for scale. The last pic is the launch of Space Shuttle Endeavor STS-118, taken from the NASA causeway this past August.
  2. Thanks guys! I added a pic of the Speedy next to the lovely UPO, which by the way gives up nothing in terms of quality and feel to the Speedy. The UPO, like the Speedy, is a keeper. Hey Pugs, I added a caseback shot for you. Unfortunately, it's not the clear back. I may still pick up a rep Speedmaster (the discontinued variety) if one ever comes along to do a comparison. (If anyone in the Detroit area has one and are willing to meet for a photo shoot, please PM me.)
  3. After months of waiting for a Speedmaster (the discontinued one with the domed crystal) to show up on the sales boards and after missing the chance to get Pug's, I decided to spring for the real deal. I managed to snag this one recently for $1000 on the bay - not a bad price, I think. Enjoy. More pics coming later.
  4. Very nice wightstuff. Geez, it's been so long, I forgot that I have a 6152/1 and Cal. 616 still waiting for assembly with finepics. I'll have to give him a call in the morning.
  5. Speaking of By-Tor, at DTE last night:
  6. I don't think the pin is the give away on the Speedmaster.
  7. Beautiful!! May I know where and how much it cost to get the gen crystal?
  8. Rolli, I know first hand that this is a gen panerai crown-guard.
  9. Carlsbadrolex. Please check PM.
  10. I'm quite sure it is not gen. Has a "reduced" automatic style dial, but is clearly a manual wind movement. This is likely the now discontinued 'venus' powered moonwatch rep. Btw, I would buy it or one if someone offered one to me.
  11. Note that in my pic above, the upper left 'signal' indicator is for wifi. When on Edge, an "E" symbol appears in its place.
  12. I'm sure you're right about the pull and push stuff. I'm really not an IT expert or power user - just an iPhone owner. I just know that my email gets to my iPhone before I see it across outlook or the auto gmail icon in my system tray. For me, at least, this is fast enough. For others, whatever delay there is may not be acceptable. For those folks, I hope an iPhone v2 comes out.
  13. Love the iPhone. Surfing on a device so compact is a revelation. Not sure what all the griping is about. Mine doesn't appear to have 'bugs', but perhaps I have The One that works as advertised. Gmail and my work email push fine. This is not just checking on a regular basis. My iphone often alerts me of an incoming work email before my laptop (on the dock hardwired at the office). Edge is not lightning fast, but I have no complaints about accessing internet/email anywhere. Switching between wifi and Edge is seamless in my experience - it's done automatically.
  14. Wheaton. I'm glad to see that your picture taking hardware and skills have improved dramatically! Nice pics.
  15. I received a call from Mark earlier in the week. He sounds much better. I won't speak for him, but it seems to me that he does intend to make all of this right.
  16. OMG, (peee), did he really say these things? I mean, I've seen some funny videos and some quotes, but these . . omg
  17. Pics please Marco. This is torture . . . pure torture.
