It is important to remember that even when a mechanical watch is allowed to vary +6/-4 seconds per day, that does not mean it will consistently vary by that high an amount each day. Mechanical movements--except the very rare 'turbillon' movements that correct for it--are noticably affected by the gravitational pull of the Earth. It only takes a performance distortion of 1/1000th of a percent for a watch movement to be one second less accurate in a day. This causes the performance of mechanical movements to be somewhat different from day to day when not stored in a fixed position. The good news is that the actual variations of a mechanical watch will often cancel each other out. This means a mechanical watch will tend to be more accurate over a longer period than the single-day COSC measurement may imply.

I presume I will be the same dark grey dial you are getting (icy blue refers to the standard dial used), but I think ther is a light grey and a darker grey dial versions out there or maybe it varies greatly with the angle of the light

The watch looks quite impressive not a bad design at all but this kind of watches are for people that are very well built or for those muscular guys on steroids

So how god is this watch? I really like CHOPARD but I am not sure yet if I will buy this one or not...I have not done any real reserach on this one yet...I have questions in my mind like how good is the AR? how flat is the crystal? often the ones with the standard asian 7750 are not from the best factory? If anyone has bought this one please inform us of the details I presume there is a sticker on the back so the Alfa Romeo will come off and the rotor will be fully visible? We will have no problems surviving the floods...lots of moutains to hide in but thanks for the concern We are getting the exact same watch (the so called 1:1 with grey dial..the icy blue is just not for me my wife tells me even if its the more genuine looking) If you are also getting the leather starp you qare smarter than me that just got the SS bracelett The gray dial is found on the white gold version 5711G so the strap is the more accurate for the one we have ordered (however the caseback on the white gold should have 750 and other gold marks stamped on the caseback that are missing on the rep being a SS) This is more or less what mine looks like with a bad camera:

It is a rocky start 2-3 years from now your collection will be qualitatively (and quantitatively) quite different from this me thinks and hopes
