  1. Was looking on the bay and found this guy selling alot of interesting stuff. Did a search - did not see any comments on him. Has anyone every tried him?

Some interesting items: movements, inserts, and date wheels (not sure of any of the rolex ones would work on our MBW's. )

Would love to have any opinions from the forum before I pull the trigger on anything.

  2. I'm sure of that, unfortunately i have no omega with those bracelets.

I could replace my PO bracelet with one of em. :)

I have a gen Seamaster GMT. The bracelet on that gen watch is the 5 link. It is incredible. I am thinking about replacing my PO bracelet with the one from this link - similar to the one in the picture. I never linked the PO bracelet look to begin with. What you you guys think?

I agree with the post that says the PO bracelet is a joke. The extension does not click and stay shut, the endlinks are off, etc. I just want to be rid of it at this point. Luckily - I like the watch.

  3. Folks,

I just got a DW6263. The one that I have clearly does not have the right endlinks on it. Can anyone tell me which ones are correct for this watch?

Help is much appreciated. Also - if you know where to get the right ones - genuine or aftermarket - please let me know that as well.

    Thanks

  4. Hey guys - found what Ofrei has. It is not up there now - but it was (you can see it in google from when it was cached.)

    Omega Stainless Steel Bracelet 1580/952

    Case Numbers 168.1651

Special order item, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Credit Card are not billed for special order items until they are shipped. All credit card orders placed on line are not billed to the credit card until the order is shipped.

    OME-020ST1580952

    $464.00

    $464 ----> No way.

End links are not available at this time either. I am going to think about perhaps an Omega Seamaster Pro band from one of the dealers. I think that it would look ok.

  5. They'll never get it 100% correct, it's a rep you know. Either you buy genuine parts and modify your watch, buy the genuine PO... or live with the flaws.

Yes, the new logo they have used is completely off. C'est la vie.

Yep - it's never 100%. That's why I got the 4th Gen with the right logo. I just have to get a different strap. Does anyone know if the other Seamaster bracelets would work?

Or maybe new gen end links might do the trick?

  6. I agree, logo placement is not a big issue (even though, sometimes in few watches, is really too low).

They could improve that awful bracelet with huge gap between second and first link.

I'm looking for a decent PO bracelet (not genuine..of course too expansive).

I have the 4th Gen PO also. That bracelet gap is terrible. When someone comes up with a fix for that - let me know!!!

  7. Holy moly......

I have two MBWs I bought second hand, I tired to buy a new one recently but had a terribly unlucky experience, and I am currently trying to obtain two new vintage MBWs thru other channels.

I have a large box of Rolex reps post-223-1152990275_thumb.jpg including some of the TW Best from EL, and all that Joshua sells, as well as some from Ms. King. I also have three other boxes post-223-1152990335_thumb.jpg of reps and gens - the point being, I have plenty of things to compare here.

While I am sure some may feel differently, I don't see any reason to buy the new style MBWs when Joshua, EL and now Andrew are selling a virtually identical watch, and both Joshua and Andrew offer it fully serviced with none of the worry about being screwed that has been the problem with some MBW sources.

The vintage MBWs are special, but the thing that makes them special is the fact that they can be modded using gen parts. $380 is a lot to pay for a watch just so you can pour money into it but it's worth that to me as a collector, but $500 is WAY to expensive for me to justify - although, as I said, I am sure some will see it differently.

A reasonably priced source that accepts PayPal and can be counted on would be a great thing.

    Bill
