8 and 10 are way off as well. Here is a gen 188 dial for comparison. It is easier to see it black on white. Truly rounded 0 on the 10 and Broader 8 which pushes all the way up to the sibdial.
Damn,I am jealous of that 188 dial Kruzer!

Light starch. Too much and I have to buy new shirts already.
-
I used to buy custom shirts alot. Love them. Recently though - the various brands started coming up with more modern Slim Fit shirts - so I have been buying them lately. You know - recession has made us cut back a little. I need to save money for WATCHES! So Charles Tyrwhitt slim fit is the thing for me right now. They are not bad. I travel a ton too, so the non-iron stuff is good for that.
Please don't make fun of me. We got to do what we got to do.

Stukov - could you post a couple of pictures of the crown guard and lever - perhaps a few from the side?
-
kkiz - you should offer that up to members! I am sure you would have alot of takers....

I have a weakness for PAM GMTs
Dude, that 89 looks too good. Where did that DW come from, and the CG looks better than usual as well. Care to give details?
-
The Zigmeister,
It was the angle of the picture that threw me off - Damn, I was wondering about that dial..... The numbers were placed too nicely. Where did you score that????
Congrats.
I will be sending my 188 to you for a gen crown install. Please remember that procedure!

The Zigmeister,
I am betting:
1. Old Case 7753
2. New Crown
3. New dial from the latest 7753
4. Where did that DW come from - looks better than Lello's, is it Finepics?
Beauty. Was it an original 7753 or a transplant?
-
Armin - I don't think so. Lug screws are a little too large.
I am still on the look out as well. Right now, mine is in a DSN case - and is not too bad. But has the lug notches.
-
Yeah - I am with you Doc on the no-bracelet thing.
I am actually waiting for the black one:
-
So - these look good - but as always - there are issues:
Wrong sub-dials on the Blue....
Gen
Rep
Wrong color datewheel on the yellow

Beautiful dude. You gotta also put the formula down too. What parts, etc...
-
Dude - how do you make these things!
-
Avitt, RG = thanks for the replys. I have been trying with a swiss army knife - no dice. I think that this one is again beyond me.
-
Guys - come on here. A quick reply would be a great help.
-
Experts, is it easy to change just the bezel if you dinged it up? How does one get that off?
-
Got my two today!!
They are f-kin brilliant! Both watches are well made and are feel heavier than the previous Carrera (obviously). Both are very well made - as good as, if not better.
The details are all there...the white dial one is awesome! It looks very classy with the polished bezel and leather strap. I love em!
Thanks Joshua...dealer feedback coming soon!
Very nice watches. However, I can see on the white dial, that the Day and Date alignment are still a little wonky with the A7750 movement.

Looks real good.
Where did you get the parts? Looking for a good rep case myself. I wish I could find one that did not have the lug dimples.
-
So, if you are looking for input, I would suggest that we try and make them more genuine if possible. By this I mean - could we add spring action (some of the rep crowns have this and it makes be stick with them). Also, it would be cool if we could get that genuine washered look.
Hell - if you make the new ones like this - I bet many would be willing to pay for that upgrade.
Just my 2 cents.
-
I would go with 2006 Cousteau - or the Slevin. Depends on the size of your wrist.
The Slevin is the easier one to come by that does not require alot of mods.
-
Ahh - nice to have you back in recognizable form. Suddenly, I feel at one with the world again!
-
Hmm - maybe it is a different case. Does your case have the lug dimples?
-
Pre-V - how did you get the V-CG to be so flush. On mine - which I believe is the same DSN case - the CG is not as flush (some space on the bottom of the CG). I will try and take a picture - but did you modify yours to fit?
Thanks!
