That 70's Show Star loses his Limited Panerai to theives
trailboss replied to mpp's topic in General Discussion
Dude, how old are you? To young to remember the 70s would be my guess. That 70's Show rocked! Happy Days for tweeners. Col. -
Yep, happy unbirthday TT. I don't think many are in on that little joke quite yet. Not a very observent lot Col.

Yeah, that's a serious piece of gear for a Hublot/ Graham AD. Do either of those have a watch proof to 1000m ? Strange they had a Rolex aproved tester there as well. Rolex usualy don't let certified gear out of their sight. Lordy knows how they got hold of it but if you want a reward, turn 'em into Rolex 'cause they definiatly have it in their possesion. If it's Rolex certified, Rolex own it. Col. -

1000m? Wow mate. Exactly what brand of tester are they useing? Most ADs can only test to 300 max. Are you shure it wasn't 1000 feet? I am having trouble with the concept of any rep doing 1000m since most gens won't. Col. -
Can I open my eyes yet? OMFG. Col.

Yep, from Cairns you'r next stop should be Airlie Beach and the Witsunday area. Don't forget the entire UK fits easily into Queensland! There's a great bloke on RWI who lives in Cairns BTW. Coling, he does their member interviews. If you would like to contact him send me a PM. I'm shure he'd love to meet up and show you around. Acording to my master list of Aussie members across RWI, RWG2 and RWG1.1 there is a bloke in Rockhampton as well but that's about it for Queenslanders. And yep, if you make it this far down you had better drop by. Got the room here to put you both up for a cpl of nights if you like, take a cpl of days off and show you some of the Great South East (of QLD that is). I'm on 40ac of rainforest so it's quite nice here PM me for a phone number, you are more than welcome mate. Col.

No such animal. What you want is a 4813 and you can find 'em here: http://www.ofrei.com/ http://www.julesborel.com/ And in EU: http://www.cousinsuk.com/ Col.

DSSDs are generaly oke but you may still strike a bad one so make shure you have it tested first. One of Fakemasters Subs just survived a suturation dive to 50m with no problems PICS/INFO HERE. Funny thing is it started out as a fun way of destroying the watch but it turned out a little tougher than expected. The dive to 150m a cpl of days later did it in but the diver reports that it flooded very slowly. At a guess it would have survived a 100m dive and decompresion. Not bad for a $120 dollar watch. Note: Fakey does not recomend his watches go swiming tho after that little testI doubt 10m would do one any harm. Col.

getting a little worried...just a little :(
trailboss replied to unkindone's topic in General Discussion
Different emails. different employees. You have prob had corespondence with three or so different "Joshs". Don't worry about it, all will be oke in time. There are reasons I chose not to deal with Josh but customer service is certainly not one of them. Col. -
Just be carefull you don't crush the lume when you hold the hand. Chances are you may have crushed the hand removing it as they are very delicate. You will have little trouble geting a new one if you have to. If it's a 21J MVT chances are it will (proberly) be a size 17 sec hand you will need. Col.
-
Try pushing a little harder on the broken MVT is all I can sugest. Hold the tip of the hand with twezers and use the blunt ent of a Bic biro to press the hand on. If it works on that one, proced to the good 'un. You did very well to get them off with no more than twezers in the first place! Col.

Good choice. That Tag is one of the best of the quartz for shure. Nice watch, enjoy. You get to blow crap up? Luck bugger! Col.
-
The afore mentioned glowinc is the way to go. Compares to supalume at a fraction of the price. Real good stuff at a damn cheap price point. Search here, several members have used it with great results. Col.
-
I don't think it's right to expect dealers to supply watches at no cost for review purposes. However supplying them at cost would be another matter. As stated the watch could then be auctioned off with procedes to RWG. A link could even be put on the dealers page for that watch to the review thus increasing RWG's membership. The ideas are flowing on this and it just may amount to something after all. Col.
-
A great idea with promise but a LOT of work would be needed to tie it all down. Plenty of folk who could be trusted to be banker but would any be willing? Now, where are those used car adverts? Col.
-
Nice work! Somehow I doubt Mr Dealer frequents RWG. Even if he does, so what? It was a gen and he valued it at 20g so no doubt he will get somewhere round that for it. They are stoping the TT blue dial? Why the hell would the fools do that???? Col.
-
Now I don't play golf but I would say a set of rep clubs would be next to useless even if the heads stayd attached. There's a lot of tech in a golf club these days and I doubt the rep ones even come close. As stated above I'm shure a SH set would be a much beter propisition. Col.
-
Welcome mate. You found the right place to enshure a painless intro to the hobby. Enjoy. Regards, Col.

Ouch! Oke, they'v gone up. A lot! Pre owned sounds like the way to go then if a gen is in your future. Col.

EuroTimez Open Letter to RWG Forum, We're back Full-Time.
trailboss replied to EuroTimez's topic in General Discussion
Great news Chris! Your honesty is refreshing to say the least. There are very few dealers indeed who have been so up front about the problems all traders can and do go thru at times. When I asked you to help out with the bush fire raffle your responce was instant and generous. You have my full support in the same way you supported me. Here's looking foward to a newly revitalised and dependable Eurotimez. Your letter has been reposted at RWG1.1 for the information of members there. Regards, Col. -
Why not indeed! Ebel deserve to sell a lot more watches than they do. The gens are very well priced too. You can buy two plus change for the price of a Sub. Col.

God I miss Clive! Actualy the origen of Cocktail is in dispute. I have an article on the subject by Brittish drinks expert John Duxuat somewhere that I will endevor to dig out. One can find a forshortened version in his exelent if now somewhat dated tome Drinks and Drinking. Col.

Geeeze mate, I posted this at RWG1.1 months ago! Catch up! Col.

Ta mate, added to list. We're a bit short of SA peeps but you're a start! Col.
