  1. woo hoo...inspired by pugwash's excellent and drool-inspiring pix of his white dial sfso with dark brown moo-croc band, i'm placing an order 2nite for same!... thanks to him and all those who have reviewed and taken excellent pix of this BEST out-of-box replica... R-
  2. yes...you are right...thanks for giving credit where credit's due...pugwash's sfso and dark brown moo-croc strap pix hav proably inspired many... and from my many hours of searching/researching/learning, i know there are quite a few white dial sfso with this combo... R-
  3. Thanks... I don't have a deployment buckle so I need to buy both strap and deployment buckle...I chk'd out angus' and compared it as best I could to one that time4direct is selling...look the same..both at $40 with deplyment buckle...so I'm now thinkin I'll buy the new white dial/ss sfso w/ AR, sapphire, etc from t4d and the strap/buckle too... Do you think there's a common strap/buckle vendor most use?...band is same dark brown "croc" version... R-
  4. am am also looking for a brown croc with deployment for SFSO...22... pls pm me with info... thx...R
  5. I am ordering an SFSO today!...i am getting the white dial SS model... I plan to also purchase a croc leather band with breitling deployment buckle... I have scoured the posts and have my mind settled on a dark brown croc with breitling deployment...someone (sorry, i can't remember who?!) has the PT croc dark brown, thick, with black painted edges with deployment...i like that one...and it's under $50USD... As a relative newbie - with approximately 20 hrs logged into this crazy hobby so far - if someone has other recommended dealers for the band i'm looking for - high quality, of course - please let me know... i live in the US and would love to cut down on wait time with a US dealer...but if the pricing is better with offshore, then i'll happily wait... the band on PT and in a member pix, is what i want...and the price is good...but before i buy, i'd like to "learn" of other sourcers and recommendations from all of you... much thanks...R
  6. hi...thanks for the info... there's a picture of the movement on this RWI link...can you tell if it's DG2813 or DG4813... either way, factoring in the AR and sapphire; with the potential for an actual higher beat movement -- it sure seems like a good deal when the non-AR, mineral crystal, and standard low-beat movement are selling between $108-$170...which by-the-way, seems like a very wide range of cost...i went to 10 different RWC, RWI dealers and that's what the sfso "lites" are selling for... 7. All -- There's a newer version of the SFSO asian that i saw over at RWI from a rookie dealer time4direct...this vendor has good reviews and seems to be very honest in his posts/opinions/discussions... Incredible pricing if you ask me...incredible...pls chk it out...the only thing i see that's different from the other "lite" models is that this watch has an "arrow point" second hand versus the usual "square", AR, sapphire and higher beat movement...here's the spec from the post... AR sapphire (real not the mineral some call synthetic sapphire!!) High beat Asian movement with steel movement holder Same weight as the $350 watch All usual markings including "B" logo on rotating bezel Latest arrow second hand these are not easy to find with AR glass heavy deployment double locking Available with white/blue/black dials Lume on these is excelent Rubber bands also avaialble either instead of or in addition to steel Pleas ask price if you would like to include both bands As i am ready to pull the trigger on an SFSO "lite" with white dial, i am interested in knowing if any of you know anything about this and/or can take a look at the pics/specs over at RWI... Here's the link: http://replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewtopic...196&t=43854 thanks...R
  8. I hav not contacted pix or dealers yet...been to most of the dealer sites and they seem to only show the silver subdial version...you're right that I should prob email them with a pix to see if they can source it...I'm a newbie, but have already spent countless hours reading, researching, learningn etc...fun!... Ri
  9. Concerned about A7750 maint in US versus quartz...is it worth it b/c it's more genuine looking - or - AR coating - or - what?!...I have to believe that the compnents and quality of the watch build and finish are similar - with the exception being double AR...am I missing something?!.. I would spend the extra dollars if I could locate a hbb lite v1 similar to the one PIX did the review on...I like the all black dial (without the silver outlined subdials) and would settle for a smooth edge bezel - although I really want the knurled.. If you and/or anyone know where I can find a lite version with all black dial and knurled bezel with AR, I would go for it...but all I see are the silver subdials on the lites now...I want the one PIX has, which he calls v1... Thanks...R
  10. i agree and thanks... i'm assuming the quality of the watch components and assembly is the same as the others?!...this i'm not sure... i also am waiting on a question i posed to them about this watch's dial...according to the Hublot official website, the silver subdials in only with a shiny black dial...and that when the dial is CF with the checkerboard finish, the dials are black and not silver...i actually prefer the dials to not be silver, but hey, it's less expensive...and a lot of higher pricing automatic movement HBB's have the silver subdials and CF dial?!... anyway...i think this looks pretty good and the pricing is great...i do care that the look is right...dial, bezel, construction and less about working details... if anyone knows anything about this quartz version, i'm all ears... R
  11. yes...i understand and agree...but, i'm eyeing up some breitlings and like the looks of this one...and the lite versions have been well received by others at their price point...but many of the lites do not have knurled bezels -- this one does...for an addtional $100 USD, above the quartz price, i can get an automatic with ceramic knurled bezel...saving $100 USD and still having a great looking watch is a good deal to me...and gives me more room as i look at the breitlings... so i still ask everyone what they think...i appreciate opinions of all...thanks...
  12. watchmark is selling a japanese crono quartz model of this watch that shows: 1. a knurled bezel...can't tell if it's pvd or ss (lighting not good) 2. it shows a CF dial...at least it looks that way... i sent an email to them inquiring on it and to get better pix and info... does anyone know anything about this?... it seems to me if the watch has the same quality build as the more expensive ones, comes with a knurled bezel and CF dial -- and you can live with quartz movement vs. asian automatic -- then this is a very good deal...all you miss is the AR coating which you can have done later... here's the link... it's HBB model 1102-581 ... http://www.timeshops.net/Hublot_Big_Bang_O...h__1102-581.htm any info or comments, very much welcome and appreciated... R
  13. Can you please comment on the quality/wear of the rubber band?...any idea how it compares to a gen strap? (very close to ordering the grey one) any pix?... thanks...R
  14. excellent review...very helpful - as i'm currently looking at this watch with a UTC bracelet... my question is: you said "The titanium Chrono Avenger may be getting a little thin on the ground now. I managed to pick up one more Ti rep. (from King) the form of a Grey dialled version with UTC module, which by contrast is actually very well made!!".... so.....how does the King gray watch with the UTC module compare to the rep watch you did the review on?... i am looking at one that josh has and it looks very similar to the one in your review...so how does the king watch with utc differ from the review rep watch?... thx...R
  15. Gotcha...sorry for the quick post without looking first...and i agree with all the comments...looks good, but not a good rep...thx to all...R
  16. Has anyone seen this watch or know anything about it...it showed up today at a "new" on trustytime...it seems to have the same specs as the high quality rep that everyone raves about...but this watch is $50 less than the SFSO...both watches have the Swiss ETA 2824-2 (28,800bph) movement...i love the look with all the numerals...does breitling make a steelfish model with all numerals?!... this watch comes in white, blue, black faces... any info on this watch or those that possess that special eye, please advise... i am VERY tempted to launch for a white one...pugwash white one is sweet and with all the numerals this looks great... thanks...R Here's the TT link: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=3350
  17. Do you know if anyone has this watch and/or has reviewed/commented on it?...the quality of it's workings, exactness to gen, dealer quality?...
  18. Do you know if anyone has this watch and/or has reviewed/commented on it?...the quality of it's workings, exactness to gen, dealer quality?...
  19. Combing these forums for a great looking out-of-box breitling with double AR, or at least very good single ar, that has a UTC bracelet...preferably in SS, but would look at Ti...model, pix, and seller recomendation...any help pointing me in the right direction is appreciated...thx...R
  20. I am a newbie and pouring through these forums in search of a watch to buy...I see that the SFSO has a double AR that is getting raves...Is there a list or a summary of the best AR Breitlings?...AR makes the watches - so i want to ensure that whatever i'm looking at has the best AR...(and yes, i know i can send it out for AR, but that's unlikely)... Also, i live in the US and would welcome recommendations on where to buy... Thanks...R
