@numptyj --> thanks for posting specs... what he meant was: his source only has the watch with ss bracelet...he can't source the watch with the rubber strap, nor can he get just the strap alone...i asked him if he could source an extra rubber strap and unfortunately he can't... supposedly, and i haven't looked, some of the rep dealers carry a 20mm black or orange rubber PO strap... if found, pls post the source/price here AND create a new thread...

was just sharing my views on a great watch, from a WELL-respected dealer...a great value watch...the 42mm PO has been repped for quite some time, going through various versions...this "version" from Narikaa is nicely done...it may not pass the AD or super-replimaniac sniff tests, but it works for me... the only special perk i want from Reg, is for my orange bezel'd PO to ship out first...go Orange!...
-
guys -- this is a $100usd watch that is very nice - not replimaniac spot-on to the gen...geez... seriously, tho, gen hands can be bought for under $40usd -- so if you hav the concern, go this route...and then you still hav a freakin nice watch for less than $150usd!... R-

@all --> yes, it's definitely a 42mm...

thanks st4...great detail with this watch...love the dial with cyclops, seconds @3, nicely sized hands, nice lume, numbers/markers/ticks...combined with the bezel detail, case detail and bracelet, everything comes together on this watch...i'm bias, but it's gotta be one of the best PAMs... -
Slice -- very nice.....glad i just ordered that model... wear it well...R

@RobbieG --> point well-taken...and very much appreciate the AR advice...as a relatively new collector, i am zoning in on what i like in the various categories of watches...always a fan of Breits, so i started there...read up on your and others reviews on the Omegas...bought this one b/c of the value prop...couldn't be happier...as i narrow down my tastes, buying/selling, i plan to send the "keepers" that would benefit out for double AR...you are very right on -- it makes all the difference...thanks, man -- for the advice and comaraderie...i appreciate the welcome to the Omega team!... and psst -- heard from Reg who is in Guangzhou for the next 5 days...then back to Thailand...the POs are there...andddddd, there's an orange bezel one with my name on it!...as a Syracuse University Orange fan, this watch will look great for games!
-
@relox...i went with the black bezel for versatility - casual and dress...but after receiving it, i decided that the value was too much to pass up -- so i ordered an orange one for casual/sport wearing...for $100usd, i'm opting to buy two...and if i find the right Broad Arrow white dial, i'll make it an Omega hat-trick!...
-
i try to keep my price point in the rep world to under $200usd, with many near the $100 mark... i am HUGELY impressed with this watch - a $100usd rep... in value/looks/quality it ranks right up there with my PAM239 Sub "destro", ALS Lange1, VC 1755 Jubile, Breits Skyland gray & SFSO white, Patek Sky Moon, Patek Calatrava Officer's watch, HBB "lite" with CF dial... i'm sold on Omegas...this watch has great weight/feel/looks/presence...what more could you want?!...
-
yup...definitely a 42mm... it does have some 45mm features...which, of course, are faults...the engraving on the clasp, for example, should not have the word "professional" on the 42mm...
-
knowing my luck, that woman who observes my PO, would be an AD...love or no love, with her, "size would matter"....

funny...i've taken this off a few times today and placed it down...once, i found myself wearing it "upside down" - with the crown on the right!...how accustomed we are to wearing a watch with the crown on the right...lol... love the way the crown on the left doesn't push into your hand...very comfortable watch to wear...i like to wear my watches a little loose... -
my new Narikaa 42mm PO... first pix is his "advertisement"...following pix are my quick shots today... enjoy -- R
-
@relox --> lume is standard rep lume...works fine, but fades fast...yes - i believe the hands are a little shorter...RobbieG's gen is on the left above...his rep is next to it...be careful not to get tooooooo hung up on all the "faults" with reps - unless you are collecting "super reps"...remember, my friend, my rep is $100usd...for that price, to me, it's a tremendous deal... Narikaa - a very reputable and responsive dealer is a great guy to work with...a gentlemen and a scholar...
-
yes...it was just under $100usd...a steal... the build quality is high...and it has great detail... @RobbieG --> will definitely consider it!...this watch does have some AR...it's at least of the quality of my breitling skyland and steelfish...i am very impressed with the black matte dial...as your pix show, the dial really jumps out at ya... when i say i "immediately" sent a note to Reg, i mean it...this watch floored me...i sent him a note for the orange bezel model AND asked him to find me a comparable quality broad arrow... i will say, tho, today i sold my WBK SMP...after getting this PO, the Bond SMP just didn't do it for me, anymore...i think it's the hands, black matte dial, bracelet and overall look/feel...you live, you learn...the WBK SMP is also great quality at a great price...but the PO, imho, is "hands down" better... oh...and i ordered a 20mm black rubber strap from tonyxkf on cqout...inspired by Robbie's gen!...Robbie -- someday, when my wife's not looking, lol, i'll have to spring for the shark strap...love that combo... It's been a good day...received my PAM 239 Submersible "destro" today...woo hoo!... It was bought from a member on RG, on a tip from dluddy...i gotta tell ya, this model is great...the "destro" nature of it enhances the already unique look of PAMs...dluddy recommended this model to me...a lot comes together with this watch: the dial markings, the cyclops, seconds subdial, bezel markings, lefty crown...not to mention this is a rep of a special edition of 75 watches made exclusively for Chronopassion in Paris... Here's the link to a great story that Don shared with me on the 239... Pam239 story it's in immaculate condition...the seller even tossed in an extra old leather strap...now i need to score a nice Panerai buckle...pls pm me if you have one to spare... Took some quick pix... Enjoy... R-

Yesterday I received my new Narikaa PO...it is amazing - to me...An amazing deal - typical of Narikaa's quality/value ratio...kudos to Reg... After opening the package, i immediately contacted him to place an order for an orange bezel one!...i think it's that good... I am no expert on POs, put this watch was advertised to have a correctly placed HE valve w/ "HE", bezel aligned correctly, AR, asian movement...The AR is very nice on this watch...clear, slight blue tint and really highlights the black matte finish of the dial...And personally, if someone knowledgeable enough to spot the difference between this watch and a gen, is that close to me, then they probably have violated my personal space -- and trust me, wouldn't be able to spot a rep again!... quick pix...the shot of all three is the one Reg "advertised"...the others i took quickly... enjoy...R

verrrrry nice...(but you knew that!)... PO on shark?!........damn!.............doesn't get any better!...well done... R-

Nice collection, DL!...love the railmaster... i have added the railmaster xl and the broad arrow white/blue models to my wish list... Currently have 2 "new" Omegas...took some quick picks of my SMP... 1) the recent (4 week old) Bond SMP from WBK...supposedly, one of the best cases out there now...very nice...but i like the PO much better...may sell this one for another Omega purchase (see #2) 2) 42mm Planet Ocean Black bezel from Narikaa's current trip...arrived today...has AR and is a beauty...no pix yet...it's still on my wrist... both are asian movements...it's the economy, ya know?!...but either way, i think they look super...the PO from Narikaa is amazing...i actually contacted him to get the orange bezel model after receiving the black one... pssst - my first post w/pix...woo hoo!...(lol) R-

All -- I just wanted to share a story on how great this forum is - and it's all about the membership!... I was looking at a Marina Militare 47mm "destro" (lefty crowned watch)...i loved the look of this watch a lot...not being at all familiar with this watch, i searched and found that dluddy was very knowledgeable on PAMs and the like...i pm'd him and learned a lot about the "destro" varieties of watches -- with a special intro to the PAM 239 Submersible destro model...dluddy owns a beauty!...not only did he answer my questions on these watches, he gave me some "history"...He mentioned that this model comes up every now and again thru sales...I asked him to keep an eye out for me...Immediately, the next day, he sent me a pm on a sale -- but i missed it due to the Super Bowl...but, today he pm'd me that one was being sold at RG...unfortunately, it was in the VIP sales area -- and i'm not a VIP over there; just a supporter over here...I asked him if he could help me with the details and to pm the seller, etc...dluddy sent me an email with the watch details cut/pasted from the RG post...he then sent the seller a pm that i would be contacting him...i pm'd the seller "blindly"... well -- it all worked out...the watch is now mine!... I can't thank dluddy enough for the assist...a great guy -- who went far and above for me...i can't thank him enough... as with a few others on this forum, this is a great place to learn, hobby, and enjoy the comaraderie of others... over and out... The VC...hands-down!...(pun intended)...much more contemporary and inspires a confidence that says i'm young, successful and tasteful...the Patek, to me, is something i'd want for retirement... and to be honest, the detail, texture, design are much more interesting...and the larger size is a big plus when compared to the smaller Patek... either way -- congrats on your upcoming wedding...not to mention, your success in being able to afford one of these beauties... Breguet 3965 Classique Swiss ETA 2824; RG - my 1st pix!
hackR replied to hackR's topic in Other Brands Area
Thanks for the compliments and the photog tips!... -
Nothing fancy here...but at least it's a start at picture-taking... This watch was bought from an RWG member...It really is striking...I was searching for this watch in SS with white/silver dial; but this one surfaced...The movement was a pleasant surprise - being a Swiss ETA 2824...The case is a light color of RG...from afar, it almost looks YG, but definitely is RG...The dial is a light champagne color - kinda a silvery/champagne...The deployment clasp has a nicely engraved "B"....The strap needs replacement -- as it's a dark brown patent leather rep type... I found a pix of the gen...the gen and rep are strikingly similar; notable exceptions: rep is 38-39mm and gen is 35.5mm; rep doesn't have the secret "Breguet" signature/inscription near 12 o'clock... Gen pix Rep pix Rep specs: 38-39mm diameter 10mm thickness sapphire crystal - front and back deployment clasp - engraved with "B" Swiss ETA 2824 movement; 28800 dark brown strap lite champagne dial; black markers/roman numerals; dark blue hands Enjoy...R
