Ricardo - i bought a natural shark from rcrscom over at RG...he makes his own...here's his site: http://strapartisan.blogspot.com/ my natural shark is on my PAM 239 destro...looks great... here's some pix of his black shark...i love this one...it's on my list... this would look great on your watch!... enjoy...R
-
very nicely... been eyeing that blue skyland...emailed peter this morning...what's another breit...would be number 9...yikes!... been thinkin if i do, i'll get a blue leather and the blue rubber, too... enjoy and wear it well...R
-
was thinkin the same...actually thinkin this would look great on black shark...
-
looks great on your skyland...love this strap...i have it on my white dial Navi World GMT...and plan to try out my Blacksteel on it when i have some time - Hooky inspired... what buckle do you have on it?...is this Peter's v3 (updated v1) Skyland version?...been thinking of getting the blue version...the color looks great... R-
-
i went with the grey...more versatile and i like that with different lighting you get a different effect... search for lanikai's post comparing the black and grey dials...he did a photo shoot and post after i pm'd him inquiring on his opinion and pix of both...this post has to have helped MANY decide on black versus grey... also consider if you plan to buy other Breits...i bought the Blackbird and a black dial old Navi...so it was best for me to get the grey skyland...and i do think it's much more versatile with various straps, etc... search the posts - especially Lani's - and you'll get tons of opinions and supporting pix from members... enjoy -- go grey!... -
Peter...your Mona is one of the most comfortable straps i own...great detail, fit and comfort...well done... revisiting your post, #1 is growing on me...what's it selling name?... R-
-
Peter -- like #3, then #2...is #3 the Mona?!... i have the same strap as Hooky (your Mona?!) on my white Navi GMT...this weekend i'm gonna try it out on my BS...cool!... R-

caseback is the same as my narikaa PO... overall it looks verrrry similar to the narikaa model...verrry...

V -- congrats on a great looking watch...enjoy it and enjoy the comaraderie of our world... quick comments to keep in mind: 0) watcheden is a reputable dealer...don't forget the $20usd off coupon which is good on ALL watches in a single order... 1) watcheden drop-ships watches - meaning they take the order and send it to 'the factory' - where it is then sent to you...there's not a lot of QC going on with drop-shipping...some of the "cartel" dealers (and others you will discover here; Hont, for example) do QC...usually the QC service comes at an increased price...i have used watcheden a number of times...and have had to send a couple watches back...the process takes time, but they are good about it...there is some "risk" in sending it back, but i have not had any problems doing so from the US... 2) for some watches, it's tough to get a steel bracelet at a later time from the dealers...they do come up thru member sales from time2time...rubber and leather straps are easier to come by later...so, at times, you may want to buy a watch with a steel bracelet and buy rubber or leather later -- prices can range from $20-$40usd... 3) great pix...it's a bit tricky sometimes, but nonetheless, fun...great first post!... welcome to the show!...R

@amptor1 -- the HE valve is in the right position on this version...R
-
Hooky -- fantastic look...a great strap!!...i hav the Gunny Mona on my Navi GMT white dial...i love it!...i'll have to try it on my Blacksteel - which is currently sporting the hktan red/black strap... any chance you can shoot some wristies of it in natural sun?... R-
-
remember...PAMs will mate...my one PAM now has 2 mates... in my case, moreover, it's keeping the lid on the Breits - one has spawned into eight...yikes... hobby or addiction?!...tough to call...thank god my room is padded... R-

watcheden has had this watch "on sale" a few times for near $200usd... however, i'd also contact hont at hontwatch...send him the name and the robbieg picture (get RG's permission)...he has very good prices (usually slightly lower) and he does QC...he'll get the watch and send you pix before shipping...many folkds have recently used Hont when the Breitling blacksteel's price was reduced...i did...and couldn't be happier with him...great pricing, responsive, pix prior to shipping of the exact watch (he'll write your name on paper next to the pix, too) and quick EMS shipping... my guess is that he will have this watch for $150-170ish usd..he's only charged me $20usd for EMS tracked shipping to US... i agree with adren and mbj -- this watch captures the detail and stands on it's own merits...and for most us "common folk" no one will call you out -- other than to say it's a sharp looking watch...i have the VC Jubile 1755 and it get comments all the time...i don't have the malte chrono - yet - b/c i have an A.Lange&Sohne Flyback chrono lemania -- which is more "relaxed" than the malte...someday on the malte!... good luck and if you get a good price from Hont, let us know...R

ya gotta hav a little fun...sorry'ish... you may want to consider a 44mm...they don't all wear that large...check around and you'll find some member wrist pix of 44mm... welcome!
-
@seafoam --> oh no!!!...you didn't buy THAT PAM?!...that one is riddled with all sorts of issues... pause, pause, pause... only kidding...(warped sense of humor implied)... welcome to the jungle!... PAMs are a social watch...they need to have company...you can't just have one...afterall, the 40mm models are born after mating the 44mm and the 47mm models... i started with a 239 Submersible "destro"...then a 251 Daylight...then a 112h... and they are a cobbler's dream...afterall, you need a variety of straps to keep them happy thru the seasons... once again, leave your wallet at the door -- and welcome to the jungle!... seriously -- congrats on the 168!... R-
-
i would say, "yes", to the 6.5" wrist...you would need to pop out the links with the pins...but understand this is a 42mm watch with a good size clasp (see the pix)...so only you can tell if it would sit well on the sides...but definitely doable from a size-down standpoint... (my wrist is 7.25". but i wear my watches loose at 7.25-7.50") R-
-
congrats on this watch...and great pictures...thanks for sharing... this reminds me of my white dial Navi GMT in size...although, this Bentley dial looks more white - my white dial GMT is more antique white... here's my pix of my white dial Navi GMT: Navi GMT pix if you decide to experiment with leather straps, would love to see updated pix...my white dial Navi GMT is on a brown Gunny Mona strap that really gives my watch an earthy, yet totally classy, appeal... enjoy it! R-

My third 42mm PO in enroute - an orange bezel version...Reg has once again been great to work with -- patient, comedic, responsive and thorough...this is an amazing value watch (note the word "value" -- it's not replimaniac perfect) from one of the best dealers -- handsfreakindown! anyone contemplating gifts - birthdays, graduations, father's day, etc - should order THIS watch... the quality, look and value makes it one of the best bargain reps on the market!...Chrgod has added it to the list! Corgi -- lol...you are bad for my wallet...thanks for the reply, my friend... i do like the "look" of the ALS flyback...less formal looking than the VC Malte... but i do like the Malte...maybe i should sell my VC 1755 Jubilee to free up to some funds for the Malte...prefer a member trade, but don't see them come up much...and i already habe an alert out there for the IWC St. Exupery...argh...a crazy hobby!?!?... R- -
pedantic ass?!...lol...i almost spit my beer out laughing... hey Sixx!!...
