  1. @sadh40 --> cool weekend choices...that green one is a little offbeat from the others, tho?!... @xelo --> niccccccce...very stealth-like... R-
  2. and where else can you also learn and discuss the intracacies of how to take out a somali pirate in rough seas?!... we have some serious bad asses who can also tell time!... oh -- and did i mention some of the best avatars?!... R-
  3. thanks, guys!... i joined here on a whim 8 months ago and used one of my email addresses as a member name...little did i know how cool - and addictive - i'd find this place...so after discovering i've hit 600 posts and that rwg is part of my daily routines, i decided to go with my usual nickname...Hackr...which, as you can see, is part of my life...nice license plate, aye!...anyhow -- been called this since i was old enough to hold a hockey stick and use a computer... where would we be in life without change, huh?!.. R-
  4. All -- I decided a name change was in order...ta da!... R-

  9. great dial, bezel, casing and strap...wonder if our super-modders could get rid of the can opener on the side?!...
  10. beautiful, Bbt!...wear it well...thanks for sharing...the bracelet DOES make this watch...R
  11. doesn't it just send chills down your spine?!....
  12. By-Tor is this forum's official spokesman for Ebels - great taste and amazing pix!
  13. I won't speak for CC, but i believe that's the automatic rep...the rep is VERY good...but Chubb's comments are spot-on...this is a thick hunk of metal and already is weighty...i love mine -- but it really is one of those watches, IMO, that works best on rubber...and the rubber on the rep is very good!... R-
  14. @ BT --> thanks!...Lani's "comparision" post is a must for any potential Skyland purchase... @Lani --> yes, the grey dial is quite the chameleon...definitely changes with lighting AND strap choices...i was very surprised how the dial got kind of lost on the black rubber...once i put the brown Gunny on it - with it's black edge - it really made the dial stand-out (the reason i posted pix!)...i'm still learning about all this and you definitely encourage us all to experiment with straps and materials...really makes a huge difference...for that, i thank ya, man!...as do all of us!! (i like these focused threads a lot...creates a nice "one-stop" for those interested in buying and/or just adjusting their watches look) R-
  15. that's my fix, too... i'm also thinking that if your watchsmith can fix this problem, i'd be game to send him mine...i would wear it more!... do you know what the actual problem with the date advancement was?!... seriously, pm me with this info if you think he might be game to work mine...R
  16. @cronsell --> that's a beauty... suggestion: next round of pictures you should wipe off that large drop of water @ 3 o'clock on that Yachty...
  17. thanks, Amm!...i shot them this morning quickly when i got in to work...still learning how to shoot watches!.. and it's funny, i thought the pen pix would be cool, too...and i'm not a lefty...gotta shoot pix with my right, ya know?!... R-
  18. Thursday, Friday...and maybe Saturday, too!...
  19. Thursday's clothes are laid out to compliment one of my favs!...
  20. Lani -- was wondering if i'd see that light gray gator!...it's amazing...(as are your pix, as usual)...so glad i ordered the grey dial - thanks, man!... yikes - the dark grey gator is still awol?!...geeez, my friend, that's long overdue... i love the light grey you posted above, but think the dark gray will really make the dial on the skyland jump out!...can't wait to see this one... thanks for stoppin in on this post...R
  21. my Bird has a date advancement problem... same one quite a few members have posted about -- it advances at midnight on its own, but you cannot advance it via the crown...which can be a real pain if you rotate watches...it means you have to manually advance the hands via the crown 24 full rotations for each day you need to advance it...argh... i have asked the ZiggMeister about fixing it -- he says its a big deal to fix on the Bird and doesn't recommend it...Rolexman created a super post on fixing the similar problem on the Skyland -- but the mechanism is a bit more complex on the Bird... would love a similar "fixit" post like Rolexman's for the Bird -- but then again, most of us probably couldn't do this on our own...and since rep movement parts are almost impossible to source, messing up the "fixit" could cripple this watch... all this said, i truly feel that the Blackbird is one of the best Breit reps...it may not be replimaniac perfection, but it's a super piece...the bracelet is amazing... R-
  22. pound for pound, one of the coolest watches...a serious hunk of stainless!... enjoy it...looks grrrrreat...R
  23. Laz -- once again, thanks for sharing a tremendous looking piece... someone should ship you their steelfish rep for a side-by-side...with macro shots, it would be a great study on how good a genuine really is -- or just how good this super-rep is... all the best -- R
  24. G -- looks great...enjoy the feeling that comes with knowing the piece is right!... R-
