  1. enjoyed the guessing game, Laz... gorgeous watch....congratulations!...enjoy it... quick question, if its not prying...what range of cost can one like this be picked up for? R-
  2. EU to EU?...ok...so now i think it's a gen... hmmmm...a gen black dial Skyland...
  3. i'm with Asim...an Avenger...the buckle on the brown leather is a clue...
  4. very nice watch!...at a great price, too!...love the lefty crown/day/date and the caseback!...this has a great presence... congratulations and wear it well, M... R-
  5. By-Tor's advice on Ebel's is right-on...think of the BTR and the Discovery...and then decide... Sixx and I are mirrored collectors...he has the black BTR and the panda Discovery...i have the white BTR and plan to get the black Discovery... decisions, decisions.........................
  6. i waffle on this decision myself...i feel the panda is sporty elegance...but the black - being monotone in dial color - is understated elegance...someday i'll get both...but i'm leaning toward the black first...but a lot depends on the other horses in your stable and how this watch will fit in...think of what you have and what's on your wishlist and then decide...black first, followed by panda for me... and those that know me, know i've been a HUGE panda fan...By-Tor's great pix will definitely sway you!...but check out some of the Ebel posts as more members have posted pix of the black dial...it's quite the looker, too... here's a post with a great wristies of the black version (thanks, Slask!): Slask's black dial Discovery post R-
  7. After much consternation on whether to buy the grey or black dial Skyland, I asked Lanikai if he could shoot some pix to help me decide...As usual, he was gracious and posted some comparison shots of both watches -- which really is a must for anyone considering this watch... (*By-Tor --> please consider adding Lani's comparison post to the Breitling Community guide)... Here are the two links of Lani posts on the grey Skyland (thanks, Lani!): 1. Lanikai's post on the grey Skyland - macro shots, etc. 2. Lanikai's post on the comparison of the black and grey dial Skylands I decided to go leather (Gunny Mona) on this watch and love the look...feel free to post 'em if ya got 'em... R-
  8. I agree with Yodap...check out both steelfish offering links (my post above and his)...same dealer; slightly different specs...these are the best bang for the buck fishes... re: Blackbird --> i have this watch, too...it is a reallllly nice looking watch with one of the best brushed bracelets...and this watch would look equally as well on leather and/or rubber...butttttt - you need to be careful of the Bird -- it is very prone to having problems with the date adjustment feature of the crown...the gears become misaligned -- which doesn't effect the watch advancing on its own, but does effect how moving it forward via the crown...the fix is posted, as well, search "blackbird date adjustment" for a post with the fix link in it...the fix does require movement work - so you need to be able to do this or find someone who can...or live with manually moving the date forward by crown winding -- a real pain if you don't wear the watch all the time and the date is days away from the real date... enjoy - R
  9. Monday: Grey Skyland on Gunny Mona strap Tuesday: Hublot Big Bang - quartz Wednesday: Ebel 1911 BTR - quartz Enjoy...R-
  10. and as a general rule of thumb: if the watch comes with an ss bracelet, order it with one...in most cases, dealers sell leather and rubber straps a la carte...but that's not always true of the ss bracelets... i bought my steelfish with the ss bracelet and also a rep breitling brown leather deployment strap...i have since put it on the diver pro rubber...but still have the bracelet and leather for when the mood hits me for them... R-
  11. Does the Slevin rubber strap fit this Aquatimer?...
  12. yikes -- not easy in the office with overhead fluorescent lighting, etc...from my Blackberry Curve 8330 - blurrrr...Grey/gray Skyland on Gunny Mona strap (yes - you can make a soft 24mm leather strap fit 22mm lugs!)... @DL --> that's a beauty...i've been targeting a black dial/bezel SOH for this look...your IWC has me second-guessing...great taste, my friend... R-
  13. http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=57...light=breitling i bought mine about 8 months ago...tremendous value and a truly great looking watch... asian steelfish - time4direct, t4d, or prestige watch company --> search rwg and rg enjoy -- R
  14. i agree on the silver dial...one of the nicer BCE sticks i've seen...although i'm partial to numbered dials... @tazzman --> you have a pm...
