They made a rep 20mm strap that fits the SMP, but apparently not the PO, and due to it being produced a long time ago I am guessing the quality isn't up to the new rubber strap that has been made for the UPO. As for gen straps check out TZ and ebay, they crop up for good prices on these sites sometimes.

I've seen a couple of franken SMP's and they do look very good. However, it is difficult, if not near impossible to source the older case set that has the correctly positioned He valve. Gen bezel does fit, as do the hands if you use the Swiss option. The gen only has an internal AR coating that gives no kind of hue. In all honestly, for the money you are looking to spend it is worthwhile buying a used quartz gen.

The 6.75 is the best ou of the box Bentley available. They are all the same from wherever you buy it. The Bentley GT had a problem with the large side wall, but the 6.75 looks very good to the original in terms of the slide rule depth.

The font on the dial looks slightly too thin too? For me the killer is still these crowns. They could perfect the fonts all they want, but that crown is a giveaway straight away.

I would personally go for the older Bond watch, Im not too keen on the new 'Red' SMP

Yep definitely genuine, I really like this model, but as By-tor says, they are quite a rarity when compared to the regular blue Bond

If you mean in relation to the winding of the watch, you shouldn't use the crown because it wears the teeth on one of the gears ( I forget which one it is)

That's a rela shame, there are so many nice Ti watches that could be repped, including this one, at least your safe in the knowledge your gen will stay unique though! Both are very accurate watches. Based on your current collection of SA and Skyland, I would go for the BCE. The SOSF is in the same family (aeromarine) as the other two, whereas the BCE is a different style (windrider), I think it would compliment the collection nicely.

I agree, it would be a hit. We set up a poll to try and get another IWC commissioned for replication (Mark XI). After huge amounts of interest it still didn't come to fruition...we can only hope I guess.

Unfortunatley there isn't a rep worth having, but many would agree with your post that the non-chrono would be a very nice replica to own!

The mid size quartz has a little lume dot at 3, the automatic mid size doesnt have a lume dot. The midsize quartz does due to the positiong of the date window being lsightly different to that of the automatic. On the full size quzrtz, the marker at 3 is much larger than the one in the pic, hence it's the mid size. I found this picture which demonstrates it quite well....

I agree, poor condition, poor pictures, but it's genuine. He valve is good, the CG's may look suspect due to the angle of the picture P4GTR, the lack of Chronometer on the dial suggests the quartz model.

I find it incredible that some would go out and specially buy a genuine just because you mislead someone that your rep was a gen. The person you mislead is not going to give a damn. He will have no reason to doubt it....they are 99.9% to the genuine. Enjoy the rep but don't go misleading him with your other ones, otherwise he might think you're a drug dealer with all these gens
