  1. Send it is what joshua recommended, before I did that I came here. He also said he didn't think he could source it. At this point I may scrap, along with the blue rubber step I sourced from AP bands. I want a new watch any way
  2. Picture may be a but blurry but the rubber on the crown is clearly missing. Can't seem to source a replacement.
  3. Movement still works well. No issues, recently this happened, wear and tear I guess. Spoke to Joshua and he said send it he "might" be able to source. Would love some thoughts. Can I source this? rep or gen? Thanks
  4. Just reading this as I am back on the boards.. Im curious what did you decide? and who did the work?
  5. I would contact the dealer. First and foremost. This isn't a can I fix it myself situation. The deadlier should be helpful and perhaps exchange for you. You may choose to explore repair services as well. I've had several watches for 3 and 4 year with no issue but I've also had issue. Currently my silver theme is not keeping good time. My dealer offered to let me send it back to him. I'm trying to find local assistance before I do that but if you just purchased this item, the dealer is the way to go.
  6. Very impressive looking, wear it well. I would want one, although I'm not drawn to the yellow and although I have not had a chance to read the specs yet, obviously it isn't waterproof. Anyone else find it weird have a diving watch that can't go in the water? Am I crazy?
  7. Gentleman, It has been a long hiatus but I find myself drawn back to our group. Life throws us curveballs and time becomes more precious. That said, I have missed our conversations and the great reviews of years ago. I have been looking and looking and it doesn't seem like there has been to many great advancements and or models but I am hoping to be wrong there. Of my collection, the RG is the one that has best survived the test of time. I wear it less as it doesn't go easy with certain items of my dress. Also, it's a tough watch to sport in LA and not cause attention, attention I don't normally want to get! The Navy "stopper" came off and I am discussing with Joshua on how to source. Would love any other ideas. The silver theme is not telling very good time The silver Rubber Clad also became quite slow in its time. The Survivor is in perfect working order and currently being borrowed by a friend. i bought a Hublot recently and at first I hated it but now, I love it. I will load some pics soon, just wanted to say hello, I look forward to reading more and catching up with years of posts I have missed. All the best t you all.
  8. Hey there, been off line for a while fellas hope everyone is having a great holiday, well those of you in the USA. ha.. I would love to see some pictures of the rubber clad, double ARtreatment and lume...Francisco? I have the same watch and have not done any mods, perhaps it's time.....
  9. I hope they do an updated GREY THEME.. That is one hell of a watch.....
  10. Thank You I actually purchased an extra rubber band and hardware from my dealer on my last purchase.. Which I now can sell if anyone wants it PM me
  11. Always great to hear from you sir... The black dial just seems so plain to me. Although I know it is the best rep out there. I wish the GREY THEME would have a second edition released. I wish there was something with a little bit more jazz to it. Also, I have the two rubber clad black dials but will probably get it anyway. I enjoyed watching the NBA finals and seeing commentator Marc Jackson wearing it. I also know your feelings about the NAVY and the white dial and I agree. There is a "silvery" tone to the ridges that makes it much less white but that's to me isn't so bad. I love the blue and it isn't as common a model as say the SAFARI that to me a minor flaw is actually major because it is so much more common. cheers J
  12. I always knew that this one only came on the blue leather, as far as the GEN goes. So I think I always had a weird feeling in the back of my mind when wearing it. I did love the SS as it really is huge sitting on my smalish wrist. After some great advice from Theo, I recently purchased the BLUE RUBBER from AP BRANDS I LOVE it. So comfortable, the blue really compliments the blue on the watch and it is just the thing for summer. Not to mention the fact that I feel like I got a new watch without it costing very much. I was hesitant to buy an after market strap as I have not liked the "fit" or the look of the fit as per some of your pictures, that is meaning my particular tastes. The fit is incredible and seamless. Now I just have to replace the SS...... Any suggestions???? Hope you guys are enjoying your summer so far... Josh
  13. You were the first person I was going to ask about this. I just ordered the Blue rubber from AP Brands like you had mentioned but now I am in need of a SS bracelet. Was considering this one but perhaps not now. What are your thoughts on the most accurate one out there right now.. This one is gorgeous at glance but I am not failure with the GEN to compare it to
  14. wow, Theo, the Grey strap looks lo sick... easy fit as well? I love the color combo, you have a great eye... I was looking at ap brands site, do they have red or blue rubber?
  15. thank you Theo! I was thinking it might be a Hublot but just wanted to make sure.. Hope you are well!!!
  16. I'm going to say rep what do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Offshore-Navy-Chronograph_W0QQitemZ270539800299QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWristwatches?hash=item3efd6dbeeb
  17. I love it, defiantly on the black hornback too. Here is the thing for me and correct me if you feel differently but without any connection to the person it was designed in honor of... Why? I feel like a lot of these limited editions are great but the personal attention to detail, as great as it may be "3" "14", I feel like for our purposes, it is a dead giveaway that it's a rep. Why on earth would you spend that kind of money for a watch that you have zero personal connection to in that way? Does that make any sense? I guess in my own personal opinion, I can't justify the 500.00 in that capacity. Now, if AP decides to make a Larry Bird commemorative Celtic green with shamrocks on it? I will buy the GEN!!! Well, you get the idea. But, that being said, this is a really pretty model and I like it a lot... Looking for something new, hope to see more new models soon......
  18. Not much more I can add that our esteemed colleagues have not already posted about this watch. I just thought I would share a couple writies of my new baby. I like the watch a lot. I could do without the large guards protecting the pushers but I find it to be of supreme quality and right now is my everyday watch. The black is a nice touch to all the colorful watches that I have. Coming off everyday wear of my ROSE GOLD RUBBER this is a nice change of pace. I will say I am forever attracted to rubber straps. The comfort and ease of the band is just amazing, especially for everyday use. Anyway, hope this finds you all well. Best, Josh
  19. That looks like a GEN Thanks for the quick reply sir talk to you soon Josh
  20. I am pleased to read this post and that you are enjoying your RG as much as I do mine.. I would love to discuss more the mods you have received.... I recently had a chance to sit with someone who had a GEN RG and they were utterly convinced mine was real and completely surprised and actually mad that he paid what he did HAHA Upon first glance the dial of the GEN POPS, would you say that the luming of the numbers helped do this in greater detail? How long door to door did it take to get serviced.. Thanks WHEAT!
