  1. So what is the final assessment of the Sachin? Has anyone purchased this model? I am aware the strap needs to be replaced but the dial is beautiful. I like it to complement my SS Navy. But the question remains...... Accurate? I can't find a pick on Luxury Bizarre, anyway seen any Gen pics for comparison...
  2. You can find some of my previous threads in regard to this watch. I currently have two AP ROO from that exact website.. I have the SS Navy and the Rubber Clad Black dial. I did extensive research before making my purchase and on which site to do so. I love both of my watches and feel EXTREMELY comfortable wearing them in Los Angeles where judgment is everything. I have held a gen to the rep on both of mine and it is very very very hard to see any differences. As far as the movement goes, I am a bit concerned for prolonged use but as of now I rotate my watches keeping them off when I am not wearing them as Fransisco suggested. (this is how I justified to my wife buying two) LOL I have also had nothing but pleasant experiences buying from that dealer. The service before and after purchase has been impeccable.. I am waiting on bumble bee for my next purchase! If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
  3. that makes perfect sense, thank you... We will see. I am failure with what I believe is the pvd coating "spray" that it seems was how the original bezzles where made. This does appear if not fully solid, quite solid. I would be surprised if it were to begin peeling, chipping yes but peeling or shredding, I don't see it. Lets hope not. I will keep you all posted. As I said I am not babying it at all. Wearing long sleeves and coats, its been raining after all in Los Angeles... The best part of now having two ROO is that I can keep one off while I wear the other. As per Francisco that is the best way to preserve the movement.
  4. Thank you BUMBLE BEE!!!! Oh, to dream....... I sent some pics to Josh to see if they could make it.. We will see. it for sure would need a Gen Band to make it look as great as the Gen..
  5. HA ha, I thought it might be funny to put the cost of a GEN next my reps!
  6. Here are some quick ones from my phone, please excuse the quality..
  7. It Arrived. Took a little longer than I expected to get out of customs, which made me worry for a minute but my girl reminded me that it was a holiday. I am in love all over again. This is my third purchase from Josh and I am thrilled. My second ROO, the first Navy SS I had been posting and reading with a lot of curious anxiety about the bezzle, the peeling and the quality. Some of you may have even been annoyed by my persistence in trying to find out.... Well, I have found out first hand. It's beautiful. The quality is unreal and just like you guys said the rubber band is VERY close to the GEN.. The black dial rubber clad is in my humble opinion the closest looking to the GEN and man does it look great.. Upon first impression the bezzle is sturdy, hard and very resilient. As if it is solid rubber, which was my hope.. The Lume is a bit on the weak side but there is lume and it looks great. I know, I know PICTURES.... Coming, I promise...
  8. Agreed, it was a dream that lasted about 5 seconds but I felt that it would not as per the diameter.. here is info from Luxury bizarre.. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph. Leather Strap strap. Water resistant up to 100 m. Screwdown crown and Sapphire crystal. Diameter is 44mm. Date, hours, seconds, minutes, and chronograph functions. Caliber 2226/2840 and now the same from PC Chronograph : 9.00 subdial - minute counter, 6.00 subdials, hour counter 2.00 pusher - start/stop chrono, 4.00 pusher - reset, Blue Rubber Pushers Day and Date at 3.00 set via crown ( Mag Crystal Mounted on Dial) Dimensions : Dia 42mm x 15.5mm Thk can't imagine how it could fit with that difference in size..... curious though, how much is a GEN rubber bezzle?
  9. I am sure that was quite a scare. Glad it is working well now.... Some pics? I am hoping mine will arrive soon and without issue... What are your impressions of the bezzle? does it seem a hard rubber? solid? thanks and wear it well...
  10. As I have posted on other topics, my rubber clad is on it's way. I will have a full report soon. That said... If you can source a GEN rubber bezzle at a decent cost AND and that's a big AND if it fits then I am in... I worry it wont fit because of the diameter difference GEN 44mm REP 42mm thoughts? can you buy a rubber bezzle from AP?
  11. Doesn't surprise me that they have an "issue". I find it funny that they use a GEN to make the watch and then make all kinds of minor errors that would seemingly be easy to rectify... Perhaps you can show us a pic of your "issue"? at least the watch Honestly I am having major anxiety about my rubber bezzle, if it peels. I will be furious...
  12. what strap did you get? I went with the rubber as I already have a SS bracelet
  13. Well, we will soon see if in fact they have updated the rubber bezzle.... I just purchased mine .... I will give a full review when it arrives.... I went with the rubber strap, black dial rubber bezzle from Josh (my third purchase) I feel it is the best and most authentic rep. The white dial has some issues which is unfortunate as it would have been my first choice.... pics to come soon as it gets here!
  14. I am in the midst of my research for my SECOND purchase from Josh. Now that it seems the rubber bezzle peeling issue has been solved. I am looking into the black dial with rubber strap. thanks guys for all the suggestions. I will for sure be interested in picking up an after market strap to go with the rubber. "carbon fiber " is amazing I am picking the black dial as it seems the closest to the GEN. The white dial would be my first choice aestheticly but with the leaking lume issues and the date wheel, I feel the black dial is as close as we can get to the Gen thoughts? I have had some problems with the clasp on my SS Navy but it was an easy fix and quite rudimentary as I just squeezed it together thus putting more presure on it. So far, problem solved. The rubber clasp is a different animal. Some of my research here says that the clasp on the rubber strap has issues. Any of you guys experienced this? post script My ROO SS Navy is amazing, I love it. It is however off time. 5 to 7 minutes I am hoping it does not get any worse
  15. BRAVO As my mother use to say, "wear it well my son" Beautiful...
  16. wouldn't it be amazing if the BUMBLE BEE came out good? oh to dream
  17. So glad someone got this discussion started again. I have been told by several of the dealers that the "issue" has been solved as far as the peeling is concerned. I too am anxious to hear from any of you that have purchased rubber clad's in the last few months. I really want to buy one but not if it is going to peal in the slightest. How hard is it to make a solid rubber bezzle?
  18. Anyone recently purchase a rubber clad? Whats the latest info on the PVC coating? I have spoken with one dealer who said the issue had been solved... are we to believe it is solid rubber? Anyone have any experience with the latest model ?
  19. congrats on your purchase, I love mine so much. I believe 1mm thicker not in anyway trying to rain on your parade, I hate when the boys here did it to me. the truth is we are looking at close up pics and 1mm in difference, for the most part these things cant be scene while it is on your wrist. its gorgeous , enjoy it.... perhaps the lighting on your pic, but your dial appears a bit white no? here is a Gen
  20. Great post, I couldn't agree more and FOR THE RECORD. I never went into WT and presented my watch. I walked in there and they complemented me on it. As far as getting the bracelet sized to fit my wrist, I took it to a jewler in my neighborhood. NOT an AD.... I was happy and excited with my new purchase and if I seemed to happy on this site, well then gentleman, excuse me. I love it here, lots of great info and certainly a possible hobby in the making but come on guys take it easy.... ps. I too am a gen owner of many watches. the AP ROO is my first rep thank you Gen_owner for your post.
  21. I love RWG and have learned a great deal and have enjoyed being a part of and reading other discussion on here. I recently purchased the Navy ROO SS. I love it, I simply love it. My research on here brought me to make a very educated choice where I bought and from who. I am considering my second purchase and although, I have read many articles on straps, I wanted to get an opinion from members who have bought and or have had experience with the rubber or the leather, good, bad and the ugly... I love the SS, but defiantly need a more comfortable day to day band.. I have read about the leather "splitting", the rubber being discolored. I have also read about the "brush" of the SS being off but I don't have that with my ROO. I love the Volcano but the band has the wrong stitching. I wanted to buy the blue leather band with my NAVY ROO but felt I was better off with the SS as the color of blue was questionable... thanks so much and I look forward to hearing your thoughts! the floor is open (watch no one will respond, I'll be that guy) lol
