I felt like your pics showed the rep hornaback with a black ting to it and didn't expect that. his photos seemed way more blue, thus more Gen seeming. I asked a jeweler buddy of mine to try and source me a GEN blue hornback for as cheap as possible, I am curious what he comes back with. I agree with you my rubber clad is amazing and I have had the Gen on my wrist. The most like the gen is the rubber. Why you keep seeing me all over the boards is I really want a hornback for my collection and cant seem to settle on what watch to get and or what is most gen like. There is that innate fear of spending the 5 or 6 hundred on a gen band only to have the watch then poop out on me. but at this point it seems like the right move. I'm not loving any of my rep options for new watches so, changing the SS band on my navy for a Gen seems like the move!

I have considered getting a GEN, but the thought of the watch dying on me and being stuck with a 1k paper weight is just to heartbreaking to bare. I have written to Archimede but have not heard back.. what do you think of his pics? is that a rep band or GEN?

great responses from two members who's opinions I value.. Thank you. I too am ok with the serial flaw, although i don't like it. It's a shame about the Rose Gold. I love that watch and it is such a popular one around these parts, the GEN that is.. I spoke with Josh a few months back who told me that bumble bee was in the works. I will check with him again and see if that is actually happening. I have been so afraid to purchase a hornback from the dealers as I have read that they just look awful but the Sachin, at least in Josh's pictures which we know are not to accurate, it looks rather good though. Thoughts on Cartel hornbacks?

Considering my latest AP ROO purchase... Not sure if I go with the Sachin or Rose Gold Rubber Clad or wait for the bumble bee. Was hoping for some input from you guys... I have been reading the threads previous about both. I am curious who has the updated dial rose gold and what your impressions are. I love the ROO, LOVE it. I have two that I purchased from Josh, I rotate them and in taking Fransisco advice, I shut them off when not wearing them. I have the SS Navy and the Rubber clad. I have been wearing my rubber clad pretty much every day since the summer started as it is just that much more comfortable and I feel casual for everyday use. Sometimes wearing it everyday, I forget that it is actually a rep. I mean I don't forget so much that I would ever go into a AD and show it to them, or would I ever formally try and pass it off. But sitting on my wrist casually, has become a nice feeling. In some ways I feel smarter than having spent 20k and have to really worry about getting robbed or something. Anyway, living in Los Angeles, there are many AP ROO out there, GENS. I recently went to a friends house to spend the afternoon, I didn't even think about my watch because I wear it everyday. We all know the flaws and we all know how close they really are to the GEN, especially the rubber clad. So when I went to my buddies and he noticed the watch, and showed me his wrist with the same one, for a second I thought "cool". Then my heart sank and I thought Oh no.... But in actuality, it really is that close. The lume for sure is a dead giveaway... Sorry I don't have pics but you guys have seen the comparisons already. I guess I am just sharing that these watches are so real that its easy to forget that they aren't and I almost was really embarrassed! The lesson? I can't say for sure because I am already thinking about my next purchase...perhaps the Sachin or wait for the bumble Bee. But I am glad that i had a little wake up call and I will certainly be a bit more careful and actually think to remember that it is a rep and it is for me to enjoy and not try and be something it is not... I am so sorry to hear of your bad luck. I have enjoyed your previous posts on you RO series. I too am an avid fan and have purchased two (2) of the sec@12 in the last six months. the Navy and the new and updated Rubber Clad.... I am in some ways afraid to even give a status update as of fear of jinxing myself. I will say what I do is rotate the two watches and when not wearing one, I turn off the other as was suggested. For me, six months in this seems to be the charm. I am considering another, and waiting on the upcoming Bumble Bee.. I look forward to hearing what solution has worked out for you as I am sure at some point I will need it as well.. Best Regards,

Heard back from Josh regarding mods, he said it was just the straps that were updated... It's a shame actually because the flaws seem like an easy fix... The Satchin is one hell of a watch! Josh also mentioned that Bumble Bee is in the works, lets hope they get it right!!!! You can find pics on Josh's site, under "what's new"

Just saw some interesting updates on Josh's site... the Sachin Tendulkar with the correct strap and some other stap updates, Volcano...etc..... My question and I am waiting on a response from Josh as well is, have there been any mods to some of the other issues with these watches? in the picture I see 000/500 Anything else on the Sachin Tendulkar that looks incorrect? What is the feeling out there on the accuracy of this model.. I'm making my move on my third ROO but want to be sure we are all in agreement on it's quality.... please chime in!
