What's the status of this idea?
-
Does this also include my IWC Inge chrono which is lost in the mail???
-
i like the radiomir models with the complications... and the new in house movement.. jummie!
-
really interesting complication!! I'd love a replica of this watch
-
although i'm a huge Panerai fan i say get an Omega! From people around me with gens only i am getting the feeling Panerai is being sold more than bought... prices for the used historic series are dropping... if i could buy a gen... i'd buy something that is a solid investment like rolex, a limited edition panerai (only LE) or an Omega (get a price deduction and the price is quite solid from there on).
-
Just be me one as well for the IWC pilot chrono spitfire, which will be for sale in a little while... including a genuine IWC day wheel !!
-
@Chief... is it also possible to get the blue-ish double-sided IWC Ingenieur AR coating?
-
Heeeellllooooo... Llleellllloooooooo... any news on the Inge DW?
-
No news yet? Aaaaannnguuussss...... where are yuuooooo???
-
I see this post for the first time now... if this is for the 44mm pannies count me in
-
Good news Lello !! I really appreciate all the effort you're putting into this project.
-
I guess it wouldn't fit anyway
-
@Pug... sorry was just to ask the question about replaing parts... you're right! @ all... i just checked the comparisson pixx and i think the difference between the gen and the rep are way to big to spent a buck on it. So i better go looking for a real one. If someone wants to sell his 42mm genuine black PO... mail me
-
But it is still missing the "Proffesional" engraving...
-
But the crystal can't be replace with a genuine crystal. Are other parst interchangeble? Like bezelinsert, dial etc? Oh yeah... it 42.5mm and not 42mm like the original one. I know this seems like nothing but when you wanna replace parts it's a lot!
-
Hi guys... i've seen some raving about the 45.5mm PO and completely understand that... but what about the 42mm version? This is more my kind of thing, especially after i had 2 of the 45.5mm ultimate with stripped tube threading so the crown wouldn't screw one!! Is there a 42mm version that is more or less ultimate? My guess.... no there isn't. When i see the post of Technician and he states the original crystal won't fit i know enough and don't wanna call this the modders dream But maybe i missed out on a lot of posts (not aybe... i did miss a lot of posts) and i lost track of all the PO versions, generations, flaws in different generations etc. Is there a 42mm PO that comes really close to the real deal? So close i could swap to original parts? Any help is appreciated... Omega is just not my speciality

Good thing i just see this thread... count me in as well please -
Count me in!! Great initiative Lello

Wow... i am really imresssed by how close some of you have gotten to the real thing. I would like to give it a try as well, but from what i understand i need a case from one dealer, the dial from another and the bracelet of yet another one... Any idea which case would be the best startpoint? I once heard the MBW case would be best, a TW-Best dial and a chinese for the bracelet...?!

Hi guys, I have several replicas which are so incredibly good that the brand dealer of that specific brand (Omega, Panerai) does not know if it's a replica. The Submariners i've seen here do not reach that degree of perfection IMHO. Most of the times the etched crown is way too big, the crownguards are not correct, datefont & magnification wrong, rehaut not deep enough, dial printing... etc. Are there examples of modded Submariners that come to the degree of perfection where a real WIS wouldn't know the difference without opening the caseback? I'd love to know if that's been done/possible.

I bought this one in Saigon (Vietnam) 5 or 6 years ago. I didn't know anything about reps back than and nothing about JLC and a lot of other high end brands. Recently i bought a genuine JLC alligator strap and buckle for this baby. It is my most precious watch as it started this whole hobby

What's wrong with the PAm63 hands?? My PAM63 has very good hands IMHO... The PAM88 & PAm89 have a really bad GMT hand.
-
Hi guys, I am mailing with David about a better GMT hand for the PAM88 & Pam89. The pointed arrow on these reps are too big, so i figure maybe he could make the in the correct size. I don't own one of these yet (but i plan to). My questions... 1. who is interested in having a correct size GMT hand for their PAM88 or PAM89? 2. Who can measure the size of the hand, canonpin hole etc... Of course you would need to have a rep PAM88/89 to measure the size of the hand and hole... the size of the pointed arrow should be the same size as the arrow on the PAM63 i guess. Please opinions on this idea
