Beautiful Tudors in this thread!
@ Bytor... how high or low is the crown compared to the genuine? For me this seems to be the ever returning question with all rolex reps... but maybe also with the tudor reps. Hopefully not
I have the idea that not all pictures show the same two watches. The pixx where they show what's between the lugs, show completely dirrent lugs. The shape is different, the size is different... and of course one has engraving between the lugs. Why? I don't know... it seems the genuine has no engraving between the lugs and the fake does. This is a comlete mistery to me...
Nice watch... i has one or two vintage Michel herbelin watches with 7734/7733 movements. Quite nice watches with decent finish. This however is a nice new model
the vintage rolex also have a more shallow rehaut... i don't know how this is on the modern version but i assume Oliver's idea could help a lot!
It all comes down to which movement you use...
Serious????? I thought the OEM is 42mm without the crown... and the rep 39mm without the crown?
That's at least why i didn't bought one untill now... so now you make me doubt again. Could you please look up your information and verify that here?
Also take a look at the side by side shot of the SD and the Aquatimer... here the gen Aquatimer looks bigger than the SD and this is correct... SD=40mm and Aquatimer=42mm (i think)
i guess untill now i am sceptical... i haven't seen any submariner or SD come close to the gen. Always the problem with the crown sitting too low in the case for sure. I know some members told me that this was because of the ETA movement.
Sounds plausible... but... how does Tudor pull it of to use a rolex oyster case and fit in an ETA 2824-2 ???
I wished they could make a true 1:1 ...
around 3 or 4 years ago this was the ...ahum... best SD available, untill someone saw the 100 engraved in the caseside... those where days with flaws you can't believe!
I should have read this sooner... just bought a 592R.... I don't know if it will fit in a 45mm radiomir case but i will give it a try. I'm not planning to make a 'perfect' vintage panerai... just like the movement better than the asian unitas
@Deltatahoe... ooohh yes baby... that's LUME!!!!! It IS mandatory on this one
In a few weeks, maybe months i'll be ready to part with my CD long enough to sent it to Ziggy for a lume job... but not yet..
Nice Aquatimer in steel... but the titanium would be even better
I've read the aquatimer was only 40mm while it should be 42mm... but now i see it compared to the SD it seems bigger than the 40mm SD... ?!?
I got mine from Angus... it's still running strong, not dust problems, bezel aligns fine, after a few weeks the day/date started to aling better than be4... i'm still a happy chappy with this baby!
When Ziggy is back from his vacation i guess it's time for a lume job and maybe even swiss 7750 Today i'm still not ready to miss it that long...
black magic has the not flat strap... the ice bang has a tantalum bezel and the flat strap... mmmm see if they'll start communicating with us to find out about the flaws or bring a $700 + watch on themarket with dumb flaws...
It should have a second hand! Except the closed caseback is wrong... this is a feature of the previous model. As far as i can find info on the 5711 they all come with see through casebacks.
So yes... it's a fantasy, but not because of the second hand. Look at the official press release picture of Patek.
