There's a whole thread on this subject on TRC as well -->>look here<<--
Unfortunately you're right about the white dial / black subdials version I hope to be proven not right...
It matters because the limited came with a closed caseback. All the reps are with see through casebacks like the non-limited versions.
I like a rep to be as good as possible... so the quality seems OK according to the messages... now i have to figure out if my favorite dial color is actually made the way it is repped...
I just did some searching about the different dial colors and the white dial with black subdials seems to be a limited edition only. 2005 pieces in steel and 250 yellow gold. On the Chopard website there's not much info but it seems the black dial version is the only one available...?!?
Does anyone have a Chopard catalog where he can look this up? I like the black subdial version best, but it has to be an existing and correct version!
I'd love more info!!
Thanx for the pictures Sql ... and thanx your girlfriend as well I am leaning toward the white dial with black subdials version... and than put it on a light tan racing strap (with the holes in it)... beautiful!!
are u serious? You are telling us there's a new slow beat 7750 based on a different color in plates? Are there some movement differences compared to other 21k beat mvts?
You are correct about what Ziggy said... but not complete. The module is the weak spot on this one. There is a module to convert the standard 6-9-12 subdial layout to the 3-6-9 layout as used on the HBB.
I don't know if they changed this, but the module used to be steel on steel where there where moving parts. A swiss movement would use jewels for the moving parts. I hope they redesigned the module...
PS. i was at the AD today and saw the Aquatimer chrono... the lume is WHITE... not white like on the IWC CD replica... but seriously WHITE! Pure C1 lume i assume
Indeed... they are not comfortable! My AD told me they found out at Panerai as well and where planning a 40mm model alrteady. The lugs stand out to straight... a 44mm Panerai sits perfectly comfy around my wrist, but a 44mm Ferrari sits crappy around the wrist.
Let's wait for the 40mm models, because they look nice... and where repped very well !!
Sorry Chief, but you ain't got no time for moving and a new job... we want another AR coat - run
Kiddin' of course... good luck with all the work and i hope you still find some time to enjoy watches/replicas and the forums
that was what i was thinking as well... or get a good DRSD dial and make it even better than it is now. Although i prefer the look of the great white's dial... such a great white caseback would be awesome.
I got the same... just had my watchmaker change the dial with green lume for the new white lume dial. Although it's an improvement i still think this lume is too white.
And i just bought a dark blue OEM Panerai alligator strap... yes a genuine and it looks pretty smart with this watch!
I guess i'd like to make it even better and have it lumed and have the AR removed.
tourbillion... completely useless... more the "see how long my penis is" among the watchmakers
PS. strange that penis is a word that can be used but c o c k and d i c k are censorred...
estimated delivery time in HK is around 2 months... price in EU is too high due to taxes... so no bracelet yet i think. If someone has an idea about how to obtain a bracelet or if anyone has one and wants to lent it to Angus, do mail him about that!!
Waiting is hard....
