  1. @Euno... that's a great collection! and a nice pictuures @All... thanx ... the pictures are quite crappy actually. The lighting was too intense due to the only sunny day we've had this summer. You can see the reflection of the crystal too much although i use a lighttent. Guess i need more experience messing with the whitebalance... It's also good visible that all my Genta love is soon going to Chieftang for AR coatings and when they come back from uncle Chief they're really top notch
  2. Congrats rckh... IMHO the best looking HBB!
  3. Last week my new Patek Philippe Nautilus arrived and joined the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, the IWC Ingenieur and Ingenieur chronograph. So just a few shots to share some Genta love For those of you who have no clue what i'm talking about... Gerald Genta designed some classic watches, like the first Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, the IWC Ingenieur and the Patek Philippe Nautilus. His design are famous for the way the bracelet and case flow over into eachother. I think there has been said enough about these watches, but i have to tell you guys that i am totally amazed by the pure quality of the Nautilus. It is very thin, incredibly classy (a rolex daydate on presidential bracelet couldn't come near this class for a dress watch) and simply beautiful Now on to the pixx some Genta friends together And of course all the photographic work had to be inspected...
  4. Yes sure... the real question is .. which wednesday
  5. 2xIWC Ingenieur 1xVC Overseas makes 3 crystals
  6. Nice story CY ... and i can imagine the ladies don't like the huge blingbling Breitling... these watches are not really popular because of their looks... IMHO they rae just popular for those wanna show they can afford it. Same goes for gold Rolex watches i think
  7. I am wondering what's happening with all the new models that where promised to us months ago already. Well... maybe promised is a too big word for it. But the new IWC Aquatimer chrono, the IWC Cousteau Divers 2007, the new Rolex Sea-Dweller and the rumors of many more. Or what do you think of the AP ROO with running seconds at 12...? Could you guys help me complete the list of watches that are on the roll right now? I just updated the list with new information from Angus IWC Aquatimier chrono-> it's here and great, but untill now without the bracelet Rolex Sea-Dweller 1:1 -> out... but not as 1:1 as i expected it to be Audemars Piguet ROO seconds at 12 -> in the make but no timeframe known Rolex GMT II Ceramic bezel -> already bought the genuine but release not before next year Breitling Avenger Skyland -> pre production but no timeframe yet JLC Reverso 1:1 -> still not decided if they will copy this one 1:1... so if you want this one mail Josh, Trusty, Angus, King etc... Panerai Radiomir automatic black seal -> not bought the genuine yet Panerai caliber P2002 copy -> in the make but no timeframe yet IWC Big Pilot with real 8 days movement! -> in the make but no timeframe yet Graham Swordfish -> no status known but in the make Panerai North Pole GMT with improvements... -> no news yet
  8. Oh stop it... i am also considering the 3717 big time!! Hard to resist but broke as hell And i'd also love a Portugieser chrono... and even have a genuine panda dial waiting. The dumb thing is that now i prefer the blue number version... maybe i should sell the panda dial. thanx for the compliments guys When the mods are done i'll do some complete reviews, but that might take some time as the money jar is empty.
  9. Thanx guys As for the problems with the Ingenieur chrono i hear you. I had huge problems with it as well, untill Eddie had me sent it to a watchmakershop in china... it came back with around 40 hour powerreserve and running within COSC specification! Those asian dudes can do it... maybe it's an idea to ask a dealer to have it checked & serviced there, before shipping...
  10. First press the button in the middle... than you can push the pin out from the side, but keep the button in the middle pushed in the whole time... and don't use too much force... it should go quite easy
  11. Just a few pictures of my beautiful IWC watches. Both Ingenieurs will be modded somewhere in the near future (lume, AR coating and a better datewheel). Maybe the Cousteau Divers will be sent to Ziggy for a lumejob. My favorite the last few weeks is the Ingenieur chrono... i find the Ingenieur automatic lightly boring these days, but the chrono really does it for me. The good thing about these Ingenieurs is that the steel used for this watch has a great finish and feels like quality! I had the gen in my hand a few weeks ago and except a few flaws on the dial and lack of AR coating you really can't see any difference! Once the crystal is AR coated and the dial lumed the difference with the gen is close to zero. Absolute quality watches, the Ingenieurs. For a review of the Cousteau Diver look here For now i am still too crazy about them, so i can't part with them yet
  12. my goodness... waiting lasts long these days
  13. nice, nice
  14. Bummer... i hope they will bring out a decent rep of the nono chrono... on bracelet please! The genuine dial for it is already waiting in my partsbox
  15. I saw the "ultimate" fiddy PAM127 on Trusty's website. He charges $378,- for that one. The thing is i can only see one improvement on the previous model which is significantly cheaper! The improvement i see is that they plates with panerai engraving on them are less scratched and nor correctly pollished. I assume the took the movements apart, pollished the plates and made sure the gold paint was in good order... end screwed it back together. Quite an expensive pollish i'd say...
  16. Big YUMMIE Superb collection BBB and CJ... i like those Angelus watches and the pre-A models are superb as well
  17. What a nasty case this has become. Attempts to make Ziggy and Lanikai's names bad are proven completely wrong now Ziggy posted the whole story. I am really sorry that this was necessary... and i think Flav asked for this. I hope all members have leant be open their eyes... shocking...
  18. Congrats TT & thanx for our own radioshow, T PS. how do i get the thing palying? I already killed my firewall and iTunes is up and running, but i hear nothing. Do i also need a plugin to listen?
  19. You of all people should know... i think they even devoted some websites to this niche
  20. Mmmm... let's see ... a superrep priced at around $450,- or a gen a around 6x the price... my rule has always been that a rep should be less than 1/10 of the gen price. Well... i hope they hurry and keep the price at least modest...
  21. I don't think so... the hype is starting to change into irritation and that's not good... when people are waiting with th money in their pockets for too long, they will find something else to spent their money on.
  22. and the movement No serious... good to know the watches are identical except the mvt and the AR coating! So the asian can be upgraded quite easily
  23. I thought so... nice way of handling this Just the ship part on the gen has relief windows or canonholes in it. Nobody... i'm pretty sure the off white is not correct... but i'd love to hear the opinions of the experts on this.
  24. ooooh V... what a nice feet
  25. Yep... i want the bracelet too! I am worried though... if it comes from the sam manufacterer as the UPO, i hope the crown and tube thread will be much better than on the UPO!! I had several of them and all tube threads where stripped or really weak to say the least...
