how do you think the Japanese high tech industry evolved... in the 50's and 60's they copied European and American audio equipment and took it from there... the slowly became better than the original makers and improved the products beyond expectation.
Let's wait and see what they'll do to the watch industry
Agree completely! This square model i don't like actually but the older tonneau shaped conquistador ... and than in chrono and/or king version would be awesome... especially the non chrono KING in tonneau shape!!!
i guess i want them both... and if the non chrono comes out i want that one as well... also want the pilot chrono, the big pilot and desperately need a titanium GST chrono... not that i'm sick or need to see a shrink... ...just want them all...
The old dude is the mastermind of IWC and the creator of the IWC perpetual calenders... and he runs over a pile of replicas

I guess they have no clue about the incredibly good replicas of IWC that are being released this past year... i think if they would have a clue they would do more than let grandpa run over a few reps
Just a question... do you think the IWC GST chrono and Aquatimer bracelet would fit the new IWC Aquatimer chrono (Slevin)? It seems the way to attach the bracelet to the case is the same... any ideas on this?
Maybe Angus doen''t have to buy a $1400,- bracelet but can just brush and resize the existing bracelet....
I just got an email from Angus. He tells me the factory will make the steel bracelet!
They have a problem though and that is that the steel bracelet has a 2 month delivery time in HK.
He wants to know if there's a way to get a genuine steel bracelet with them so they can use it.
If anyone has an idea, please mail Angus or me!!
The ship looks more detailed, but i'm not sure how this is on the genuine overseas. What is different is the "Antimagnetic swiss made" words on this dial... these are too wide compared to the genuine piece. Furthermore this specific caseback is of the model with the crappy bracelet and the missing markers on the dial. So al together i'd opt for the other VC overseas which is also sold by the same dealer you pointed out.
i have no idea about the specific problem on yours... just know that I shipped mine back to Eddie Lee's service facility and it came back running like genuine one! It has power reserve, it runs within reasonable specs, chrono works perfect... i dunno how...but they did it. This should be done to all rep chrono's before shipping out!!
I hope to see a rep of the BP before X-mas Man... a BP would be soooo great! I guess i like the new model more than the older model, but any of them would do
that's good to know!! I was thinking this was the biggest flaw on them...
But in fact a good AR coating is needed as well... i tryied on the chrono once while i was wearing the Inge replica... the difference in AR coating on the crystal was huge. The dial on the gen appeared to be much, much more black because of the AR coating. The difference was outstanding...
Rosnik just bought a GMT from PT and he got a vintage dial with plexi crystal in a modern "no log hole" case...? well... it's s strange mix of new & old on that one...
Looking forward to your review By-Tor! I'm a vintage GMT geek as well
a shame they didn't go for a graphite dial with graphite subdials I think it's a shame when they can copy a very nice and high end watch so remarkably good... and make mistakes with these obvious things that are written down on the Breitling website so clearly...
