  1. @ TMG Nice Milsub! @ Hike mmmmmmmm.... Sea Dweller! Going vintage today
  2. I tried asking the community once to pick a favorite rep. It's really difficult to get most reppers to pick a favorite. In this case it's easy for me since I've only owned one PAM rep, a 127 Fiddy. Still, it's my favorite model of PAM.
  3. Hey everyone! Explorer 2 once more @HA Nice Speedy! @hackR. Good to see that one's getting some wrist time. Looks great.

  24. Hi all, I've been listening to the ticking sounds of my mechanical watches recently (both gen and replicas) and I noticed (not un-expectedy mind you) that each type makes very distinct ticking sounds. For example. My gen 16610 Submariner (new in 1992) has a very strong metallic ticking with a weaker, lower toned, kind of musical beat secondary sound. My rep Explorer II w/ ETA movement has a weaker ticking (not so metallic sounding) with a weaker, higher pitched, musical beat secondary sound. Not having the gen AND replica of any specific model, I was wondering if the ticking sounds of a well serviced watch could be used to help determine whether a particular watch is genuine or replica. Would all gens of a specific model always sound the same? I did some searching in this forum only, but wasn't able to find much relevant info. What do you think? ww
