  1. Touche my friend, you make a good point. I know there are many gen lovers here. Sh t Im one of them. Maybe just at a lower price point Mike
  2. Great poast Im also into the big watch phase. Im waiting for a Pam 217 Destro. At 47mm it should be plenty big. The biggest watch that I have now is the Pam 250@ 44mm. My wrist are fair size at 7.4. Although I dont think I will go beyond 48mm,but then one never knows. Personaly I like the Hublot BB. I think the sword fish is a googley eyed watch, good name anyway. I dont think you should wear your Gen,nope. Send it to me, I promise to take good care of it. Good luck with your decision Mike
  3. Very nice. I will have to remember this for when I go out to the neighborhood Pub Good stuff Mike
  4. I agree with everything thats been said. To be fair I do have a older Gen Omega that my father gave me many years ago. I also have a Tag Formula 1($900) I also have a very nice Sector divers(450) I just dont know if I could spend 2-3 Thousand on a watch. Again that just me. Good luck Mike
  5. That is a question only you can answear. I was going to buy a Gen Omega PO chrono. I could have purchased one for $3.000.In my mind I could not justify spending that much money on a watch. It's a personal thing. I would rather buy several reps and enjoy this fantastic hobby. If I would have purchased the Omega I would not be here right now, I dont think. That kind of mony is a lot for me. I have bought three nice Reps and Im under the $500 mark. Not including straps. Thats just me, Some peolpe here can do both. I bought a Tissot a few months ago for $375. Thats the world of watches I live in and it works for me Good luck on your decision. Mike
  6. Welcome to RWG. Your story has been told many times over, and Im sure it will be told many more times to come. These sites pop up here and there. These people will sell several watches then move on to a new domain. It can be a very shady business. What there selling is flea-market crap. Watches one would pay $10-20 for, maybe a little more. There are legends of customers out there who end up with nothing. They send there crappy watch back never to be seen again. Reading Toads Noob Guide is a great place to start. The information here is overwhelming so take your time There are several trusted dealers on this site that members have had much succuss with, trader reveiws is a good place to look. Good luck and happy hunting
  7. Welcome to RWG Kos. I know how you feel. RWG has helped many people avoid getting scamed. Do plenty of reading and research. Soon you will be looking down at your wrist with a big smile. Mike
  8. Good call Brian. I think i might have to order the brown Pam deployment strap. For $49.00 you cant go wrong. Mike
  9. Might want to take a look at Heroic 18. There straps are first class at around $100.00. The customer service is also top notch. I just purchased a strap for my 196. The strap arrived in less then a week. It comes in it's own suede like carring case, very nice indeed. It is my understanding that some AD's are using Heroic 18 for there after market strap supplyer. Good luck Mike
  10. Thanks for the post joshua. I hope you feel a little better getting this off your chest. One thing for sure, you have the respect and trust of the members here at RWG and other rep forums. Thats because you always try to help your clients. I know this to be a fact as do many others. Hope this is resolved soon. Mike
  11. Welcome to RWG. A good friend and business partner of mine has a Citizen Eco-Drive Aqualand Divers watch. He has a few Gens. Omega, Tag and a Breitling Evolution I believe. He says his Citizen is his favorite as far as accuracy is conserned. I think it's a great looking watch. I just might have to order one. RWG is a awsome community. Hope you enjoy your stay Mike
  12. I find a heavy hammer works realy well. Im sorry I could not resist Mike
  13. Thanks Hike but this was poasted a few days ago. Mike
  14. Hello Dcap, good to have you here. Our story is very much the same. The only reason I became a member was so I would not get riped off. Well one thing lead to another and ?? well you know the rest. I am becoming a huge Pam fan. I new very little about the brand when arriving here. I just purchased two in the last six weeks. The 196 daylight and the 217 Destro. I need to take a little breather. Welcome to RWG. If you need any help let us know. Mike
  15. to RWG Stacey. Im also from NC. This is a awsome community. Im sure your going love it here. Toads Noob Guide is a great place to start. Happy hunting neighbor Mike
  16. Welcome to RWG Doc. In no time you will be buying Gens. I guess for now Reps will have to do. Be careful these Reps can cause a Compound fracture to your wallet. Happy hunting and looking foward to your reveiw Mike
  17. A watch is a clock for the wrist and a clock is a watch for the wall. Works foe me Mike
  18. All I want to know is, who has the best sub? Ahhhh the classics, Oldies but goodies Mike
  19. Welcome to RWG. Im sorry to about your situation. Hopefully some of our German members will chime in, Good luck Mike
  20. Welcome to RWG. I think Reps are more interesting then Gens. A $5000.00 watch should look fantastic. But to spend $200-300 and have something look almost as good if not just as good in some cases is quite remarkable. Happy hunting Mike
  21. Very nice indeed If your on a noob pink cloud just make sure you have a noob pink parachute Mike
  22. Im jealous, what can I say? I have been bitten by the Pam bug. I would love to one day have my Pam blessed by the Zig. The waiting list being what it is, I will probably have to look elsewhere. To find someone to do the kind of work The Zigmeister does will probably never happen. Oh well such is life. Wear it well Mike
  23. Dam thats to bad. This is a good or not so good reminder of what were dealing with here. It can happen to anyone of us at anytime. Thank god it does not happen that much anymore. The dealers have become pretty slick. There are a few tricks that they use that seem to work fairly well. From what I hear Watcheden are stand up dealers. All should be well soon. Good luck and lets us know how it turns out. Mike
  24. ATM has a completly different meaning in my neck of the woods. Be good Mike, Be good Mike, Mike behave yourself. Uhh let see. Oh yes now I remember " at the Moment"
