That is pretty hot!

Hello everyone. Just thought I would have a little fun, and turn my latest build into a contest. (Admin/Mod's, if you do not approve, edit accordingly).
The plan / contest. Summary, for every correct answer below, I (Ronin) will donate to the RWG November Rent.
Current $ raised: $51.50
Scoring / $ accumulation:
Correct Answers (WITH EXPLANATION, as to how you came up with your answer) = $5.00
Incorrect Answers = -$2.00, minus $2.00
Correct or Incorrect Answers (with NO explanation) = $0, Zip, Zero
Bonus: Describe any "modifications" to any part = $2.50
Questions:
- Is the case rep, gen/service, or aftermarket? Who was the original maker/supplier of the case? (i.e. Rolex, Silix, MBW/MBK, Phong, DW, Yuki, et. al.)
- Is the dial rep, gen/service, or aftermarket?
- Name dial source specifically. (Who I got it from)
- Are the hands rep, gen/service, or aftermarket? How can you tell?
- Is the crystal rep, gen/service, or aftermarket? Be specific- source, model, etc.
- Is the bezel rep, gen/service, or aftermarket? Be specific- source, model, etc.
- Is the insert rep, gen/service, or aftermarket? Be specific- source, model, etc.
- Is the crown/tube rep, gen, or aftermarket? How can you tell?
- Is the caseback rep, gen, or aftermarket? Be specific.
- Are the springbars rep, gen, or aftermarket?
- Is the bracelet rep, gen, or aftermarket? Be specific- source, model, etc.
- Who did I get the HE Valve from?
- What movement do you think is in the watch, and why? (Hint: movement is NOT 2836 or 21J)
- BONUS $2.50 each for any "modifications" to any part.
TOTAL POSSIBLE VALUE OF QUESTIONS = $77.50 --- If everything is answered correctly that is how much I will personally donate to RWG.
RULES:
- Anyone can participate, however, if YOU provided me with one of the above parts, or have prior knowledge via PM, you can not answer that specific question(s).
- One certain member can NOT participate as he has FULL knowledge of the project. He knows who is.
- Once a question has been answered correctly its earning potential is over.
- Contest ends 48 hours from post date/time
- I will provide regular updates as to what the $ tally is.
- Remember answers WITHOUT explanation of how you figured it out do not count.
- NOTE: The watch is NOT a prize, or for sale.
PRIZES:- At my discretion, I may recognize members who participate. Prizes may include tools, parts, etc. TBA.
On to the fun part. Below are the pictures I am going to share for the contest. HAVE FUN!

hehe no rodico unfortunately. Guess i'll just use a bit of masking tape
If you have a local "Hardware Store" (i.e. Ace Hardware), go pick up some "Blu Tack", or other putty type adhesives safe for drywall.
I have also used the adhesive side of a "Post It Note", to move the hand to the post.

Spinmaster 7750 based Daytona's are excellent. While yes, the subdial spacing is off by a fraction of a mm, unless someone 1.) Is a Rolex Expert, 2.) WIS/Member here, 3.) Closer than arms length, 4.) Holding a GEN side by side, these are totally plausible IMHO.
The above recommendations are sound. Adding a GEN Crown, would be a plus. I think there is too much emphasis on the bezel accuracy, especially the "1 10". User serviceable, aftermarket parts (bezel inserts), no longer automatically lump a watch in the Rep/Fake category. Just an opinion-- I am sure there are plenty of Gen Sub's, GMT's, and maybe a Daytona or two out there with aftermarket inserts and/or bracelets.
Final thought, things like how you carry yourself, your cloths, and your age are probably more important than some of the little details mentioned above.

Excellent, K! That photo is worth framing...

You mentioned the optical cleaner for lenses. Is this the 'brush & pad" style? If so, I would start there.
While no expert, have you may also want to try gently rubbing the spot with a little Rodico on a toothpick or pegwood.
As a last resort, you might step up to a scratch brush, toothpick end, dental pick, and try and 'erase' the mark. Worst case, you will chip away a little Tritium leaving an aged patina... YMMV.

New Flash. R U S H thinking of taking their "Time Machine Tour" to the UK / EU.

That statue / figurine is disturbing. Run away.

I had a "Penco" replica of a Rickenbacker 4001 back before I was able to afford the Gen Rickenbacker. However, Penco would be more for a 'vintage' used replica model. (mid to late 70's). They came from the Hoshino factory (aka Ibanez).
In fact, my 'first franken' was taking the Penco and fitting it with Rickenbacker branding. Ahhh, the good old days.

Great photo!!!!
Going with two time zones myself.

I used to be a keeper/hoarder. However, I have done a 180. Now, I am seeing the need to sell off to fund. I almost traded my Gen Ebel and Gen Explorer II for a Gen RED 1680. Fortunately or Unfortunately that deal fell through.

Sounds great. We need someone to pad print datewheels for ETA.
-
Other people have done mods like this before though. For example Sander and Tribal. what they would do is sand the ETA datewheel heavily and partially sand down the gen datewheel. And then use the gen datewheel as an overlay
You can do it, but it will still run backwards. ETA dates rotate clockwise. Rolex datewheels rotate counter clockwise. So if you don't mind going 3, 2, 1 instead of 1, 2, 3.... its a printing thing.

My BK Explorer II. Almost as comfortable as my gen 16610 Sub
+ 1, someone who owns both the BK and a Gen Exp II, the fit/comfort is identical.
-
There's silver gen ones for like $140. < snip >
True, but they rotate the opposite direction of ETA's and 21J's. So unless using a Gen Movement or finding a one off moment you can not use gen DWs for our projects.

Pretty much ANY Rolex on an Oyster (except the DSSD). The classics.
-
No real answer. I saw a gen, supposedly non-serviced 2.8mil serial that was silver, round 3's open 6 & 9's. I have seen GW's and Rail's with WHITE (not silver) DWs.
From what I can tell, and based on service history ANY of the following could be correct;
- Silver, Flat 3, Open 6 & 9's
- Silver, Round 3, Open 6 & 9's
- White, Round 3, Open 6 & 9's
-
Rolex has refreshed much of the DD DJ line up. If you have a rep from a few years ago, even 1 year ago, it is probably a 36mm which is still correct.
